"My half-yearly exams are over and we were given a holiday of a week to spend with our family "

"Oh," Noah said raising his hands in defense
"Can you stay until dinner please I like you a lot, at least you are far far better than that plastic barbie doll Good for nothing egoistic Adelina, thank God she is finally out from our life " he chirped amazed looking at me smiling admiringly

"You know I got the call from your school that you are not attending your classes regularly, and Andrew informed me that you are wasting your golden period in internet cafe may I know why" He raised his eyebrows questioning seriously
Noah sighed in annoyance
"Bro, you blocked my credit cards what I am supposed to do"
"That is because you of your irregularities in your classes I blocked, your Credit cards for the month, behave yourself or I will Block them for three months more " He snapped angrily to him
"Like seriously, just because our parents before their death put my responsibility on you you will behave like a Control freak," He said bitterly and goes towards the stairs of the hallway

Hesitantly I go towards him and took his clenched fist into my palm and gently squeeze it, He looked away his eyes shows sadness
"Um, Lucifer I don't mean to interrupt on your private space, but want to tell you something can I say," I asked unsure I mean I just meet him not even a week, I don't want to interfere in his personal life with his brother but he is a very good man and wonderful person, his brother also seems very good I don't want their relationship to be bitter with each other
He looked into my eyes intensely then nodded
I sighed and took him towards the couch which is placed just below the large glass window giving beautiful scenery of the skyline of New York
"Lucifer, your brother just come from Australia after traveling, and you started scolding him for his mistakes, he is a teenage boy, when I was in high school I also bunk classes and everyone does it is no big deal besides this you should have asked him have he eaten or not, how was his journey instead you start scolding him, at this age teenagers have several changes and hormonal activities which can distract their mind but you must treat and make him understand with love not like scolding him like he is five years old kid, he is a teenager "
he sighed and looked deeply into my eyes, his eyes have so many unreadable emotions he finally spoke
"When I was 18 years old my parents died in a car accident and he was only 7 years at that time, I remember in they were rushed into hospital by ambulance my dad says in his last moments "now he is my responsibility, I must have to protect and nurture him like the father because, after father, elder brother is in place of the father, I love my little brother so much, but I just have to be strict to him to make sure he focuses on his career rather than a distraction," he said heavily sighing
we both are sitting on the couch facing the beautiful skyline of New York and above that facing beautiful sky

"I can understand your feelings as an elder sibling, I don't have any siblings but I know how hard it is to manage emotionally without parents and any emotional support, but with love everything is possible, we just have to treat our young siblings with love and care," I said squeezing his hand gently and facing him
"Go talk to him calmly ask him how is he, he didn't even eat and goes away angrily because of you, tell him how important career in one life gently rather than strictly okay, tell him you are worried about him for his future, I am sure this will work " I spoke with full confidence

he nodded and goes towards the stairs
I remain sat there thinking about Adelina and Lucifer
Did he loves her, why did he marry her, or did he still loves her
I don't know why on earth I am thinking like this. It's not like I am his girlfriend Or lover but still, whenever I think about Adelina and Lucifer together, I always feel so sick.
after some half an hour he comes down with Noah, I looked at both of them Noah seems again in a cheerful and good mood, I stared at Lucifer and he mouthed me 'thank you'

"So sorry for leaving you alone, I was just.. before Noah can complete I quickly I interrupt him "It's okay you must be hungry, let's have Meal together," I said cheerfully to him and he nodded grinning while showing his white teeth making him look so adorable
"Yes Damaris is right, what you both like to eat I will order take out for us," Lucifer asked looking at us
"I am craving for homemade food, big bro, your seven Star hotel Chefs can't have that taste which is in homemade food," Noah said a little sadly
My heart aches to see him, honestly, I saw myself in him, being without parents in this cruel world is so tough at least he and Lucifer are lucky enough that they have their parents wealth and financial support but I don't even have that
I shook Away my head, I looked at Lucifer asking hesitantly
"if you don't mind can I prepare today's dinner for you guys, I am sure Noah will like my handmade food," I asked nervously
Lucifer eyes widen in surprise and Noah again have that adorable grin on his good looking face
"Of course you can," Lucifer said with an Ecstatic expression, making me relived I am glad he doesn't mind me, I mean we don't know each other very personal and we meet not even a week ago but Noah, I saw myself in him(Noah), I want to make him Happy he is only a teenage boy I can understand his pain growing up without parents with any emotional support
"let me take you towards the kitchen, we will talk more there and I can understand you more, " Noah said blissfully to me making me laughed
Lucifer Frowned at him
"She is off-limits," He said coldly to Noah
"My Big bro is jealous"Noah whistle with mischief and I shook my head laughing
I and Noah comes towards the kitchen
"Thank you, Damaris," Noah said to me smiling genuinely at me
I raised my eyebrows not understanding why
"No one thinks about me except my brother and you, you are cooking because I want to eat homemade food you have heart of gold " he states looking at me admiringly
I shook my head "It's nothing, it's been so long I cooked food for someone, and besides this, I will be very happy to cook you both " I said to him smiling understanding
"Why don't you tell them about your adventures in high school to your elder brother, I am sure he will enjoy hearing it, tell him about your plans," I told him
"I don't think so he would like to listen, he always scolds me no matter if I'm right or wrong, " He said sighing
I shook my head and took hold of his hand
"Just try it, talk to him about your interest and things you like I am sure if he will know this he will less scold you, because he will understand your interest, and he wants your best I saw in his eyes he loves you so much Noah just try it, it works, and you are very lucky least you have an elder brother to take care of you there are many people who have to manage alone in life without any family," I said to him giving him assured smile
he hugged me and I hugged him back when we pulled apart
