In the space between the high wall and the low walls, the in-depth field would be divided by trenches and horse barriers into several areas, which could effectively stop the cavalry.
Of course, no cavalry commander would be foolish enough to directly attack these defensive structures, which were clearly tailored to thwart them.
If battle broke out, these structures could only serve as auxiliary means to work with our own infantry to delay the enemy and slow down their assault.
