Leon thought, then turned his gaze to the metal long wand that the corpse was clutching.

Heeding the warning, Leon reluctantly withdrew his hand.

I’ve already prepared the items I need for the escape, and you can just help me carry something,” Kovis said, pulling Leon and rushing out of the bedroom.
Following the blonde youngster, the two ran to a room not far from Pilireno’s bedroom.
Leon watched Kovis sketch a few signs in front of that door, and the door shimmered with flowing light, as if some kind of restraint was being lifted, then pushed open with a shove.
Stepping inside, they saw a collection of strange objects, various types of containers, delicate instruments, and shelves full of unidentified materials and decorations.
This might be a Mage’s workshop.
Kovis wiped the blood off his head with a towel from the table and rummaged through it for something, tossing it casually towards Leon at the entrance: “Catch.”
Leon reached out and snapped it up; looking closely…

In his hand was a large egg with a solid feel, almost the size of an ostrich egg, and wrapped around the surface was a ring of gold protrusions, though it was unclear whether they were sticky or had been inlaid.
“That Magic Wand can’t be touched, but I’ll give you this Griffin Egg; this is probably the most valuable thing here,” Kovis said, not stopping his movements, as he pulled out a prepared bag from the cabinet and strapped a Light Sword engraved with runes onto his belt.
“Two months ago, that guy and a few Mages cooperated in hunting a nest of Griffins.
This was Pilireno’s share of the loot; I’ve been guarding and preserving it ever since, and there have been no tricks done to it.”
Kovis explained as he slung the not-so-large bag over his shoulder and left the workshop with Leon, heading downstairs and hurrying toward the courtyard outside.
Leon raced after him while turning the treasure in his hands over and over.
The more he thought about it, the more alarmed he felt.

Without further thought, they hurried to the wall where the Guardian Magic had failed.
Azeryan was already waiting there with Miss Elena.

The Minstrel lying at the bow of the boat tipped the feathered hat covering his face with his fingertips, then turned his head, seemingly interested as he gazed towards the depths of the night.
His gaze was as if he could pierce through the darkness, peering beyond the distant reefs to the shallows.
“Hehe, always taking the fall for others, this time someone else is covering for me, nice~”
Hearing this, Larian, who was huffing and puffing with the oars at the stern, couldn’t help but look up.
The young Knight, with a long knife at his waist and aided by the light from the lantern hanging on the mast, glanced at the Minstrel at the bow, then looked bewilderedly at the cabin, where beautiful girls were huddled together.

Larian dared not agree with that statement; seeing the narrowing sweet gaze of his loved one that signaled no good, he could only shake his head in a show of fidelity, smirking in response to his lover.
