Qiu Honglei was taken aback. She sent a voice transmission and asked, “Master, have you already used your ability on Sect Master Yan?”
When she saw the two of them fighting, her heart had nearly leaped out of her chest. She'd been worried danger might befall her master. Yet her master had still managed to use that kind of ability in that tight situation?

“Master, don’t take such risks ever again!” Qiu Honglei glared at Yun Jianyue. The thought of her master becoming severely injured made her shudder in fear.
“Don’t worry, I've been through plenty of danger in my life. I know what I’m doing.” Yun Jianyue harrumphed, unhappy that her disciple didn’t share her excitement in having succeeded in their plan.
“What are you murmuring about over there?” Yun Yuqing asked.
“Nothing. Just something worth celebrating.” Yun Jianyue smiled like a sly fox.
“Tell me about it,” Yun Yuqing realized her big sister had been less ferocious but more seductive recently.
“I’ll tell you when the time is right.” Even in her moment of glee, Yun Jianyue knew some things couldn’t be said out loud.
“Tsk. Stingy!” Yun Yuqing was dissatisfied, but there was nothing she could do about it.
Meanwhile, Zu An entered the neighboring room and saw Pei Mianman treating Yan Xuehen. Pei Mianman was relieved to see Zu An. “Ah Zu, you came just in time. Sect Master Yan is severely injured, and I’m afraid I alone am unable to treat her.”
Zu An nodded. “Leave her to me. You help your big sister.”
“Ah?” Pei Mianman was taken aback. Her gaze alternated between the two. Wouldn’t it be inappropriate to leave a man and a woman alone like this? She knew about their relationship, but the others were still oblivious to it. If she left the room, it could stir rumors.
Zu An harrumphed. “Your big sister is calling you over. Yuqing can’t treat Sect Master Yun alone, so they need you there to help her.”
Yan Xuehen opened her eyes. “Thank you, Manman.”
Pei Mianman pouted. I thought Yan Xuehen was a reserved person, but she’s driving me out now? This adulterous couple! They can’t wait to fool around as soon as Chuyan is gone! She finally replied, “We’ll be right next door. Call us if you need anything.”

Zu An was alarmed. He couldn’t give Yun Jianyue away without her agreement. “What are you thinking? Aren’t I here to treat your injuries?”

But her face heated up right after. How can I harbor such thoughts? She would mock me if she knew about this.
“It’s a good thing I was around, or else you’d have gone down together,” Zu An said worriedly as he channeled a steady stream of warm ki into her body to treat her injuries.
It hurt him no matter who got injured, not to mention there was a good chance of the two of them going down together. The thought of that frightening possibility made him tempted to reveal his relationship with both of them. That way, he could become their battlefield instead. But considering their relationship as long-time rivals, that would be a huge mess too.

Zu An burst into laughter. “You’re usually unfazed by everything, but you lose your composure as soon as Yun Jianyue is involved.”
Yan Xuehen frowned. “I don’t know why either. Perhaps we were enemies in our previous lives.”
Her emotions went haywire whenever she thought about the demoness. That reminded her of something, and she eyed Zu An warily. “Doesn’t your recovery ki carry the power of the Golden Phoenix? Are you sure it’s fine?”
Her vigilant attitude made Zu An laugh. “Have you forgotten I'm now the god of this world? I can erase the side effects of my ki in this world. Don’t think too much and focus on recuperating from your injuries.”
“Mm.” Yan Xuehen breathed a sigh of relief and began channeling her ki.
