"Attack!" someone roared. The Anbu, though rattled, once again raised their weapons and steeled themselves. They had to kill this demon or they would surely die themselves. Their fear mingled with desperate resolve as they rushed Chiyu from every direction.
A sword, brimming with lethal intent, swung down to slash at Chiyu from behind. Without even turning his head, Chiyu swung the Blade of False Darkness in a backward arc, colliding steel against steel in midair.
Sparks flew, briefly lighting the dank, rotting darkness—but only for a second. In the next instant, Chiyu twisted around. A sudden gleam flashed through his Sharingan.

The prison erupted in chaos as scorching flames ignited cells and corridors. The Anbu scrambled amid the flames, locked-up criminals screamed, the Kirigakure spy shrieked while dodging burning debris—her powers sealed, she could do little but cower.
Chiyu, eyes bloodshot with fury, unleashed all he'd built up: Sharingan, Fire Release, Lightning Release, illusions, swordsmanship, close-quarters ninjutsu. All his pent-up power and rage came pouring out.
One after another, two more targets fell to his sword. By now, Chiyu was also wounded and covered in gore, but in the eyes of the remaining Anbu, he only looked more frightening.
Finally, the last among those who had personally framed Aoki and Yamakaze tried to flee. But how could Chiyu allow his prey to escape? He sprang up, forming seals in midair:
"Lightning Release: False Darkness!"
With a thunderous crack, a massive spear of lightning tore through the air, slamming explosively into the fleeing man.

With a cold snort, he slashed out with the Blade of False Darkness, demolishing the iron bars around the Kirigakure spy's cell. In a single bound, he landed before her. The flickering flames and the crackling blade illuminated her terror-stricken face. She stood paralyzed.
"D-don't kill me… I—I'm from the Bloody Mist, I only did all this because I had no choice… Even setting up your subordinates was forced on me by these people. I'm a victim too!"
Chiyu gave a derisive laugh. "Every villain has an excuse, but…
"What does that have to do with me?"
Again, the crackling lightning flashed upon his blade, piercing straight through the woman's body. Then—
