Some fires can be played with, while others should not be touched; Yusuf Zuck always adhered to his own personal boundaries, so today he wasn’t impulsive, although he sometimes indeed acted like a brute. But there are things that, once crossed, can never be undone.

Mia stuck out her tongue: "My dad and I have shares in this hotel. I own seventeen percent, and my dad owns forty-two percent."
"Damn!" Yusuf Zuck cursed, astonished that his casual stay in a five-star hotel could still have a connection with the Tuffs Family. Was there anything the Tuffs Family wasn’t involved in?
"And you, why did you come to Hong Kong and not look for me?" Mia looked at Yusuf Zuck.
"I came to help someone with a thing, then this person wouldn’t stop nagging, wanting me to do more, so I turned off my phone."
"Why didn’t you look for me?" Mia pressed.
"With the way you were acting earlier, you think I dared to find you? Acting all crazy, what’s the matter? If you want a man, just get one, acting like a sex-starved widow!"
"You think I don’t look for one? Let me tell you, at my place of work, my supervisor is pursuing me, hmpf, and when I dump you, I’ll get with him!"
"What, what? Your place of work? What do you mean?" Yusuf Zuck looked at her, puzzled.

I have to move loads of boxes every day, get scolded often, and earn an income of six thousand and seven hundred Hong Kong dollars a month, working nine to five, with occasional overtime."
"Really? For real?" Yusuf Zuck asked, half-believing.
"For real, look at the blisters I’ve got on my hands, and I’ve got photos of me at work on my phone, already made some colleagues. My supervisor drives a beater and insists on giving me a lift every day," Mia said as she pulled out her phone and handed over the photo album to Yusuf Zuck.
Yusuf Zuck examined the calluses that had formed on her palms, then started browsing through the selfies on her phone.
