Orson's lips curled into a sinister smile as he rode Crimson Lizard King, weaving through the crowd towards Usher.
On his way to the battlefield, Orson hadn't been idle. He had anticipated that SSR and Dragon's Kiss Guild would target him, so he sought out Empress and ShatteredCrown. The three of them quickly devised a plan, using the other guilds' dissatisfaction with Dragon's Kiss Guild to set up a huge strike.
Under normal circumstances, large guilds usually fought on their own, and it was rare for any guild to truly unite to take on Dragon's Kiss Guild. After all, DK Group's financial and manpower resources were far beyond their reach, and even fighting a one-on-one or a three-on-one battle against them would be futile.
But now, there was someone who stood up to shatter their undefeated reputation.
That person was Orson. Leading just over 200 members, he fought relentlessly against the combined forces of Dragon's Kiss Guild and SSR, slaying two S-rank powerhouses in an instant and almost singlehandedly killing a thousand players. This feat alone proved everything.
The guild leaders of other factions were no fools. They knew that if the combined forces were pinned down by Godslayer on the front lines, then the second and third battlefields would be their opportunity to rise.
Various guilds launched their counterattack, spontaneously forming alliances to assault the outposts held by the combined forces. Everyone knew that Usher and Wedge couldn't retreat now — their fate would be slow, painful death.
This was the natural course of things!
All of this stemmed from Orson shattering the invincible momentum of Dragon's Kiss Guild.
This was the true backup, the absolute finishing blow!
However, to Orson's surprise, Slaughter Guild's overall strength was enough to challenge SSR, and they had followed the news, joining Empress in killing their way to the first battlefield. It seemed that Demon Emperor, the guild leader, was more than just a madman in battle. His strategic thinking was vast. After all, this was a declaration of war against the power behind Dragon's Kiss Guild!
As Usher saw Orson closing in, his expression turned cold, and he swiftly nocked an arrow. He fired five arrows in quick succession.
With a buzzing sound, the five arrows merged into one, taking the form of a golden divine figure that rushed toward Orson.
"A-level Magic Arrow: Demon Slayer Arrow. Effects: Stun, Knockback. Unblockable and Unavoidable."
Orson raised an eyebrow and smiled. The person before him was none other than the famous Golden Archery God, Usher. Orson knew him even better than Usher himself, as he had once been crushed by him in his past life — much like an ant being squashed.
It was said that the enemy you understand best is often your greatest threat.
Orson maneuvered Crimson Lizard King sharply to the side, but the Demon Slayer Arrow pierced through its wing. With a painful cry, the Crimson Lizard King plummeted from the sky.
Usher opened fire with a barrage of explosive damage, but even though the Crimson Lizard King fell, Orson controlled it to absorb all the damage.
Orson calmly dismounted, a smile still on his face, and said, "With your mana, this level of output will only last a few seconds."
Another four arrows shot toward him. Orson dodged the first one, then used a barrage of fireballs to perfectly block the remaining attacks.
"Saint's Clone cooldown is one hour. You can't use it, and you can't escape," Orson continued.
Usher's heart went cold. His thoughts had been completely exposed, and he forced himself to maintain composure. "You have no idea what you've done."
"I know exactly what I've done. You want to take revenge on me, on everyone. But do you really think one person is enough?"
"This is the trend! You can't stop it!" Orson coldly said, surveying the battlefield.
The frontlines were collapsing for Dragon's Kiss Guild's combined forces. Madman and his group had hacked them into pieces. Reinforcements from other guilds were getting beaten down by the three major guilds. Dragon's Kiss Guild and SSR's defeat was inevitable!
"This is just the beginning. Don't think you can defy fate. I only need to take you down, and your so-called trend will collapse on its own," Usher said coldly.
At the same time, Dragon's Kiss Guild's channel lit up with Usher's urgent message.
Once the leader of Infinite Dimensions, he now felt like he was nailed to the pillar of shame. Desperate, he used a delaying tactic to try to buy time for his forces to recover.
The combined forces of the players retreated as quickly as they had arrived, heading back to protect the outposts that were under siege.
"Want to humiliate me? Dream on!" Usher suddenly sneered. "Want to die?"
He pulled out an arrow, removing all equipment protections, and aimed it at his own forehead.
Orson laughed. He didn't give him the chance. A Chaos Magic Ball slammed into him!
"Get ready for endless revenge, Orson!" Usher roared, full of rage. He couldn't even commit suicide.
He turned into a wisp of a soul and flew toward the nearest outpost to respawn.
"I told you, those who insult my brothers will pay a hundred times over. How can I let you escape?" Orson muttered to himself, then turned to look at Madman and the others.
"I say, old buddy, are we going to strike back?" Madman grinned savagely.
Orson nodded in approval, his voice booming with confidence. "We'll finish this in one hour!"
"Wherever Usher and Wedge respawn, that's where our swords will strike! I'll kill them until they're broken beyond recognition!"
Orson rode Crimson Lizard Wyatt high into the skies, his destination aimed squarely at the largest stronghold on the first battlefield: Bone Dragon's Land!
"How could Usher die? Could it be that Orson killed him? He's never died once before!"
At the Bone Dragon stronghold, Usher had just respawned, and the members of Dragon's Kiss Guild who were guarding the point stood there dumbfounded.
Other than that man's intervention, they couldn't think of any player capable of killing a top-tier, legendary-gear-wearing god-tier player like Usher!
"Orson, no matter what forces stand behind you, you will die!!"
