Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 772

"Amazing acting! Truly worthy of you, Champion Taran!" SirLagsALot laughed wildly into the camera. Bradley and the others immediately played along, throwing millions of gold into Infinite Dimensions loudspeakers as if money meant nothing: Bradley: "Thanks to Brother Taran’s brilliant idea of deliberately getting captured, his sacrifice won the trust of the Pantheon Sanctum gods. Without him, how could our Godslayer Guild have made such a powerful comeback? Big thumbs up!" Madman: "Born an Earthling, dying as an Earth hero. To protect Earth, he’d use any means necessary. That’s a true saint!" Inside the temple, Taran’s rage boiled over. His battle-axe crackled and roared with lightning. He had believed that by keeping his distance from the Godslayer Guild when Infinite Dimensions first opened, there would be no clashes. As long as he waited until his bloodline awakened, he could dominate Earth. For over a decade, everything went as planned. He had leaked news about the Goddess of Aurora’s mortal form, luring the gods to Earth. With their support, Earth would easily fall under his control. But just when the gods were about to merge Infinite Dimensions worlds, his old enemies returned out of nowhere, shattering all his plans. Infinite Dimensions joint broadcast: Taran: "Sword Soul Guild has no ties with Godslayer or any Earth faction. Allies, don’t let yourselves be misled. Once the gods descend, all will become clear." He downed a goblet of burning liquor handed by a maid, unable to sit still any longer. He had to clarify with a global broadcast. At his side, Aurex looked hesitant. Taran shot him a cold glare. "Speak." "Everyone knows Orgod is a master of trickery. By clarifying now, you may just be walking into his trap," Aurex replied with a bow, forcing a smile. He knew his brother was stubborn and straightforward, the complete opposite of someone like Orgod who had no limits. History showed it well: Usher, who once had the strength to rival Orgod, had suffered badly in war of words against that bastard. Sparring with him verbally was suicide. In the skies above, the chaos of alien fleets blasting each other finally slowed. Madman raised a brow at Orson, smirking as he tossed out another loudspeaker. "The number one beauty of the Pantheon City—or rather, beauties ranked one through ten—were all once Orgod’s personal attendants. But to reward Brother Taran, Orgod generously gave them up. This can be verified by anyone." Taran and his brother froze. Their eyes darted instinctively to the stunning maid in blue beside them. She was none other than the former Light Dragon Empress—Ursula. "Wait... that’s actually true." "The Pantheon maids, all goddess-like beauties, serving only Taran? Could he really be a traitor?" Madman had thrown out irrefutable evidence. Many challengers rushing toward Earth through long-range teleport arrays fell silent. They were devout believers of the Pantheon gods. They had visited Pantheon City many times. They knew Madman wasn’t lying. The more they thought about it, the stranger it seemed. If Sword Soul Guild truly intended to oppose Godslayer, why would Taran keep Ursula and the others by his side? Once doubt was planted, it grew like wildfire. "This is what you get for trusting Sword Soul Guild, these Earth worms!" "Traitors! This whole thing was plotted by Taran and Orgod together!" "Kill them! Purge every last Earth challenger!" On the Death Ark, Sword Soul Guild members were dumbfounded. They had never expected things to spiral into such chaos. "It’s his handiwork. He’s back." The Demon God Palace reappeared in the Earth sector after so many years. Usher sat on a throne forged from the skull of a being known as the Primordial Archdemon. His pale face curled into a wicked smile as his gaze pierced down toward Earth. Seven years gone from the public eye, he hadn’t gone to Mars, the so-called refuge. Instead, he led the Dragon’s Kiss Guild deep into the stars. Guided by the Dark Dragon King’s blood reversal, he ventured to the galaxy’s core, where he entered the Infernal Purgatory. That place had once been a testing ground set by ancient gods to forge Infinite Dimensions itself. Using abyssal demons as prototypes, they created hellborn abominations to hone challengers’ strength through brutal combat. But some of those demons grew too savage, too powerful. They gave rise to beings that rivaled gods themselves—the so-called Primordial Archdemons. Unable to contain them, the gods had abandoned the place. But Usher, Earth’s notorious madman, hadn’t fled. He dove straight into the depths. With a million Dragon’s Kiss warriors at his back, he spent five years and every resurrection item they had to slaughter their way through Purgatory. All for one reason: to fulfill a promise he made long ago. "Form ranks. Prepare to kill!" At his side, a queen crowned with ice but wreathed in flames growled. Queenie: "Take back everything Dragon’s Kiss lost. This is our land! Slaughter every Pantheon believer you see!" The Dragon’s Kiss Guild crest flared once again, their killing aura spreading across the heavens like a tangible storm. These warriors, survivors of hell itself, bore black IDs unlike any challenger’s. Their warped armor clung to them like living skin, pulsing with their breath. Their aura was indistinguishable from abyssal demons. For original chapters go to novel~fire~net And yet, in their eyes still burned the light of humanity. Pantheon Sanctum, inside the temple. "Another drink? This wine boosts blood and vitality. It will aid the God of Thunder in his victory," Ursula said with a serene smile. Suddenly, dread struck Taran. Ursula and the others had once served Orgod. Could this wine... be poisoned? He might be a battle maniac, but even he knew clichés were endless across time and cultures. Veins bulging on his forehead, Taran’s hand shot out, seizing Ursula by the throat as he frantically checked his own status for abnormalities. In Infinite Dimensions, anything was possible. Some poisons could cripple even gods. Maybe not kill him outright, but weakening him before battle would be easy. Health cap increased by 5%? His brow furrowed, cold sweat running down his back. The status bar showed only a buff, no debuff. He clenched his jaw and released Ursula. She remained calm, bowed slightly, and retreated without a word. Hobilarze sighed. The mighty son of the Thunder God, reduced to a paranoid wreck. It was pitiful. "I feel it! The gods’ will!" Ovila suddenly cried out in joy. Taran’s eyes lit up instantly. Confidence surged back into his chest. A single chaos god was powerful, yes. But against the gods of Pantheon Sanctum? Impossible. Outside, the shrines’ light began to converge and dim. Within the temple, the other god-tier challengers stirred. Their eyes burned with fanaticism. To them, being chosen as a vessel for a god’s descent was the highest honor. A young scion of the Power Clan whispered bitterly. Known as the second Belenor, his bloodline wasn’t as pure, but through sheer effort he had clawed his way to god-tier strength. Yet the gods’ will had passed him by. Aurex’s eyes narrowed. He looked around. Another god-tier challenger on a throne also sat still, untouched by divine presence. "Could it be... the God of Power and the God of Death are descending themselves?" Shock crossed his face. Forced fusions of Infinite Dimensions worlds usually left the gods weakened by backlash. Even if a world was invaded by hordes of abyssal demons beyond challengers’ power, the gods only ever descended through will alone. Taran grinned darkly. He understood the signs. Belenor had been captured, the daughter of Death slain. The gods would be burning with fury. They would descend in person, right here on Earth, to destroy the chaos god. Taran: "Earth is not the homeland of the Norse gods. Any who spread baseless rumors will pay the price." Taran: "Orgod, the gods descend. Prepare to die!"
