Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 625

A burst of light and shadow tore through the void. Two figures erupted out of nowhere: Orson's dual Supreme Soul Disc clones, incarnations of the Spirit Kings of Light and Darkness. Light Spirit King—Quasi-Divine Law! Effect: Attacks ignore all physical material, bypassing physical defense and damage reduction. Dark Spirit King—Quasi-Divine Law! Effect: Attacks ignore all magical elements, bypassing magical defense and damage reduction. These two clones weren't normal caster copies. The moment they manifested, Orson's mage build converted entirely into a rogue class for them. They lost all ranged abilities, but gained innate stealth—undetectable before they struck. Because these two were born from the twin spirits of the Spirit Tribe, their methods and law effects were eerily aligned. The two Spirit King clones surged forward together, snarling in unison, "Break!" Their Supreme Arcane Blades flared with searing brilliance—one white, one black—as they thrust toward the Sacred Executor's chest. Ignore physical defense! Ignore magical defense! The blades pierced the Sacred Executor's divine form. A column of golden light erupted from his chest, blasting skyward and tearing the clouds apart. Spiritual energy corrosion -5,000,000! Spiritual energy corrosion -5,000,000! The clones wreathed in that holy light began disintegrating rapidly, their forms crumbling until only broken torsos remained. "If it's just an external projection, then there must be a true body inside," Orson muttered through clenched teeth. He gambled everything on this—betting that the Sacred Executor's core was hidden in his chest. Because Aspect of the World was a Soul Seal skill, it was almost certainly powered by a divine Soul Seal, likely... a heart. His eyes sharpened. Fist clenched. "There it is." Bathed in the golden glow, he glimpsed it—a white-armored, mummified corpse seated cross-legged inside the chest cavity, radiating strands of divine light. Like an indestructible relic. One glance at the absurd health bar told him there was no chance to kill it outright. His two clones only had half his total stats each. They'd never chew through that HP before being burned to nothing by the spiritual energy corrosion aura. Both Spirit King clones roared together. Their Supreme Arcane Blades swung down, not at the heart—but at the Sacred Executor's arm. Ignore physical defense! Ignore magical defense! Crippling strike -14,000,000! The Sacred Executor's dead face twisted in surprise. His arm, clutching the Vortigon Reverse Scale, was severed at the root. "No..." A monstrous shriek tore from him, utterly inhuman, as he lunged to snatch up the falling golden scale. Orson's lips curled in a cold smile. His nearly destroyed clones met the lunging hand without hesitation. The Sacred Executor's palm punched straight through their chests, obliterating them in a shower of fading light. "Flight Restriction—Lifted!" The alert sounded like music from heaven. "Take off! Time to let the old ancestor feel some love from his US descendants—I'll personally send him to reincarnation!" Orson's eyes widened, veins bulging as he roared. He fired an Awakened Eclipse of the Underworld, sending every nearby succubus and Heaven Demon screaming into the abyss. "My master—will rule Infinite Dimensions!" "My master—shall stand atop Era of Immortals!" The Crimson Lizard King bellowed with savage joy, finally freed from the ground. Its wings flared, propelling it skyward. It glared at the oncoming giant hand, then twisted midair with blinding agility, letting the Sacred Executor's grasp fall empty. "You can't... you can't do this!" Mia screamed. Her form contorted, revealing her true shape—a monstrous blood-shadow succubus. "You humans... you're dead!" Her once-sweet voice turned shrill and venomous. She scuttled on all fours, tearing after the faint golden light plummeting from above. But how could she ever hope to match the speed of a Celestial Winged Dragon? "Me, dead? What can you do about it?" Orson scoffed. The Crimson Lizard King sliced through the air like a hurricane. Orson performed a dazzling, last-second lunge from its claws, snatching the Vortigon Reverse Scale right out from under Mia's grasp. "You filthy human scum! The will of the Demon Emperor will drown you—may you beg for death in vain for all eternity!" Mia screeched, black claws clamping onto the dragon's talon as she tried to tear upward. "I told you—I'd peel off that face. And I always keep my word." Orson's eyes glinted red, rage boiling over. He readied his Doomsday Blade. "Orson... how could you?" A familiar voice cut through the night behind him. He flinched, turning his head on instinct. Down below, among the swarm of Heaven Demons, familiar faces emerged. Bradley lay there, legs hacked off by a demon, bloody and hollow-eyed. "Guildmaster... you're just going to abandon us?" A man nearly torn apart, clenched in a demon's maw, glared up with fury. It was Madman. "Guildmaster... we swore we'd never split up. Why won't you help us?" Iron Cavalry lay broken with a shattered sword, voice faint. "You killed us... how could you do this to us? Was Sienna really so wrong?" Then a sobbing voice right in front of him. "Orson... I missed you so much. Won't you love me properly?" Sienna's tearful face was there. A delicate white hand slid down his shoulder, just like that gentle morning long ago. "Orson... I missed you so badly. Please... take everything..." And then Emma's voice whispered in his ear. "Wake up! There's a thief! A thief here!" The egg in his pouch suddenly jumped out, shrieking. Orson snapped back to himself, cold sweat bursting across his back. His face twisted, veins bulging, as he clamped down on the false Emma's throat with an iron grip. "How could you... hurt me?" 'Emma' choked, big eyes pleading, so heartbreakingly gentle. Orson's eyes turned completely blood-red. Reason fled, leaving only an all-consuming fury. Even when death loomed, he rarely lost control . "How dare you take the faces of my friends, my family!" He hurled the golden scale into his pouch, raised his blade, and slashed across Mia's forehead. Black demon blood splattered his face. He didn't flinch. He watched as Mia's skin peeled from her skull. Her screams cut the night. He gripped the pale, hideous face, summoned an elemental flame, and burned it to ash. "Mercy, oh great immortal, have mercy!" Mia's monstrous true form groveled, hands pressed to the dirt, weeping for her life. Even intelligent Heaven Demons feared death. Orson sneered down at her, eyes empty. "I've changed my mind. I'll give Era of Immortals some peace." And with one swift stroke, he took her head. Blood sprayed across the dirt. He kicked it aside. All around, succubi that had been masquerading as his guildmates shrieked in horror, reverting to their demonic forms and fleeing in panic. Orson didn't bother to chase. He simply looked out over them, voice echoing cold and resolute. "You made this land your hunting ground. Fine. I, Orgod, will change that. This will be your grave—and you will be the souls who guard it." Then he urged the Crimson Lizard King higher into the skies. "Sorry, old man. I don't have time to play around." He gave a mock salute toward the Sacred Executor far below, then streaked away, finally pulling back to a safe fifteen-kilometer distance. No matter how mighty the Sacred Executor's techniques, his range couldn't match a dragon lord's. Cetran might cover hundreds of meters with a single stride, but against the king of the skies, he could only roar in frustration. Orson had no interest in fairness. He summoned his remaining Supreme Soul Disc clones. A dozen mages lined up beside him, hurling spells relentlessly. It was the ultimate kite: hammer from afar, then slip away before the giant could ever touch them.
