"This isn't my doing. It's the price she pays for touching the forbidden," Xinala's voice echoed above Forever City.
A flicker of confusion crossed Orson's mind.
If the Chaos Sect inheritance was truly forbidden, why hadn't it harmed him as the Chaos Sect Leader?

At least Bradley's words confirmed Xinala had some power of foresight—she knew both his and Sienna's past, maybe even their future.
It wasn't yet certain if Sienna's condition was Xinala's doing.

He'd witnessed it himself—Draconis's will intervening to save Drunken Dream, even gifting him a divine artifact.
Orson didn't hesitate.
He chose to log out, snapping back to the real world.

The system notifications rang in his ears, but Orson barely registered them.
He burst from his pod, racing to the next room.

She looked at Orson, trying to say more, but he waved her off.

Orson took Sienna's hand, voice trembling.

Orson nodded gratefully.
He wouldn't rely on doctors alone.

Orson's eyes widened.

Orson wiped away his tears, forcing himself to stay calm.
