Since many high-level magic skills, especially chant-based ones, required verbal components, in theory, this meant even a Grand Archmage could be silenced. Ridiculous, but true.
The only downside was that it required close-range casting and only worked on a single target.

The Glory Seekers players surrounded the Wildman Saint Lord and started swinging like mad. Damage numbers flew into the air.
Magical Fiancée frowned and waved them off. "Stop. We can't kill him. His HP's too high!"
With 170 million HP, there was no way they'd bring him down in under a minute.
"Focus on the ones that broke into our lines. As long as they panic and send more in, our plan works." Calm and collected, Magical Fiancée immediately reoriented the group's focus.
The team redirected their attacks toward the remaining Ghostfang Frostwolf riders, quickly clearing a kill zone.
Up on the ridge, the Fire Dragon Knight began intentionally letting more riders through. A fresh wave of cavalry charged into the ambush.
"Relax. They're just bots," Magical Fiancée muttered, sneering.
She mounted her white phosphorus python, once again dove into enemy ranks, and cast another massive petrification spell.
But the elder Ghostfang Frostwolf King at the rear noticed something was wrong. The burly old man pulled a serrated wolf fang-shaped longsword from his waist and began chanting.
"Spirits of the eternal wolves who roam the dark forests... heed the call of your bloodline's children..."
King's Authority: Sacred Wolf Armor!
Ghostly suits of armor rained from the sky, fusing with the Frostwolf cavalry.
Magical Fiancée paused. Her A-rank petrification spell failed. The charging wolves opened their glowing blue eyes once again.
"All Frostwolf Wildmen and their mounts—take half damage from physical attacks and become immune to all A-rank and lower spells!" someone shouted in horror.
The moment the words left their mouth, the cavalry surged forward. Their wicked blades flashed—players were downed instantly.
Frostwolves snapped their jaws and bit through players like meat skewers. Blood sprayed. It was carnage.
The tide turned fast. The frontline tanks were broken, and Glory Seekers players began falling like dominoes.
Especially the healers—many were killed in a single hit.
"King's Authority... a group-wide buff. How are we even supposed to fight that?" Magical Fiancée stared in shock.
Even with everything she had, all they'd managed was a 1:1 kill ratio.
The Frostwolves, with their gnashing fangs and dead eyes, were like death on four legs. Livestream viewers shivered in their chairs.
With the healers down, morale collapsed. The team had nothing left to push back with.
Then came the final blow.
"For the Glory of the Empire! Fire all weapons!"
A sudden roar echoed from above.
A massive warship—larger than any dragon—descended through the clouds. Gleaming silver-white, it looked like a floating temple of the gods.
It was a Dawn-class Imperial warship.
Bad news never comes alone.
From the side of the ship, six colossal light cannons lit up. The low, resonant thunder of charging magic shook the sky and earth.
The Glory Seekers' Dragon Knight looked up and immediately unsummoned his dragon into Battle Space, trying to salvage guild resources before death.
"This is ancient Imperial tech? The Lightship?"
"The Empire has multiple of these?! No way players can beat this crap!"
"That pressure alone sent Dragon Knights running!"
Comments flooded the stream. But no one blamed Glory Seekers.
In fact, lasting this long against the Frostwolf cavalry with just a few hundred players was already an incredible feat.
The Ghostfang Frostwolf King gave a deep command: "All troops—eliminate the Empire's traitors!"
"Flatten the hills with cannon fire. Create a path for the main force," said the barbarian high priest coldly. He instantly saw through the adventurers' plan.
The sky shifted again—eight more large magic warships emerged from the clouds behind the three Dawn-class flagships.
Below, over 200,000 imperial and tribal troops marched in perfect formation.
At the front was an 8,000-strong Paladin Legion, decked out in full armor—even their flying warhorses were clad in obsidian-forged anti-magic barding.
But that wasn't even the best the Empire had.
Behind them were the Royal Knights, a force of just 1,000—but each wore armor forged from Dragon Crystal shards. These elite units could travel thousands of miles in a day and storm cities with ease.
Following them were barbarian infantry—titanic warriors nearly 2.5 meters tall. Each carried massive axes or war spears and wore dwarven-forged ancient plate armor with monstrous physical defense.
This tribe had once granted their heritage to the Demon Emperor.
Throughout the ranks, shimmering light rain fell—Church NPCs casting blessings on the troops.
Holy light magic glittered like stardust, wrapping the soldiers in divine glow—creating an overwhelming presence just before nightfall.

The advancing cannon barrage was so intense that escape seemed impossible.
Magical Fiancée's face went pale.
She never expected the NPCs to be this smart. Realizing there was an ambush in the chaotic hills, they simply changed tactics—using magic artillery to destroy the terrain and render the ambush useless.
The hilly battlefield they relied on would soon be a cratered wasteland.
She shook her head in despair. No matter how strong she was—ten times stronger even—what could she do now?
"King to king. General to general. Don't break the rules of the game."
A voice boomed with icy force.
It tore through the imperial ranks like thunder. The kings and cardinals looked up in shock.

The barrage from the Dawn-class warship stopped midair—caught in the grasp of a massive elemental hand.
Explosions ripped through the sky. A shockwave of force blew across the battlefield, sending debris crashing into the imperial army. Entire squads of NPC soldiers were blown apart on impact.
"It's him. The Conqueror…"
The Ghostfang Frostwolf King's cloudy eyes gleamed. His withered arms bulged with sudden strength. He raised his gleaming wolf fang blade.
"Awakening: Hurricane Spear!"
Orson snorted, surrounded by flickering green light, charging like lightning.
Before the Frostwolf King could react, he let out a grunt of pain—his wrist severed by Orson's spear.
The Frostwolf King's mount howled at the sky. Freezing air exploded outward. Crescent-shaped ice blades rained down toward Orson.
"Awakening: Judgment Flame."
With chilling indifference, Orson swung his Supreme Arcane Blade. Fire erupted like divine wrath, absorbing and shattering the ice blades. The remaining energy surged toward the Frostwolf King.
Face grim, the King cast rule magic on himself and his mount to ward off the blow—even A-rank awakening magic wouldn't affect him.
"Uncivilized savage… do you know who you're facing?"
A voice full of cold arrogance echoed above.
From the sky, the Crimson Lizard King opened its glowing blood-red eyes.
King's Authority: Death's Disdain.
In an instant, every frost armor buff on the Ghostfang cavalry shattered—even on the King himself.
"What the hell! That broke through a King-tier boss's domain!"
"I made the right choice… I made the right call!"
Magical Fiancée and the others were stunned, then overjoyed.
No longer retreating, they pushed forward to countercharge the broken Frostwolf cavalry.
"Annihilate the serpent and the Conqueror!"
"Turn all weapons—fire everything at those heretics!"
Four Church cardinals screamed. The three Dawn-class flagships and dozens of magic warships locked onto Orson and the Crimson Lizard King.
"You want to kill me? A noble goal."
But Orson didn't flinch.
He grinned—white teeth bared like a devil smiling from the abyss.
"Love your battleships, huh? Well, guess what? I'm the godfather of artillery!"
A strange screech echoed across the sky.
A terrible pressure filled the air. A timeless will stirred.
All NPCs froze, turning to the sky behind them.
There, rising like a mountain behind the clouds…
