Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 531

"This is my ultimate move—Veiled Mists, the divine escape spell! Orgod, you understand me too well!" "Is Orgod actually trying to run? Over a clone?! What a joke!" "I don't know, man… Triple Crown winner pulling a stunt ? Kinda lame." The livestream chat exploded with skeptical chatter. Trying to flee before the battle was officially over didn't sit right with players—it wasn't the image of the proud Archmage they admired. For many, this looked like fear in the face of defeat. "Hell Golem. Don't let him get away." Usher's tone was cold as his black wings unfurled. In a flash, he was within a hundred meters of Orson. The twin mirror clones moved in perfect sync, forming a triangular pincer—cutting off all escape angles. "Run? Why would I run?" A calm voice echoed from within the mist. "I've already used my strongest move. You'd better stay sharp." "Your strongest move... is an E-rank skill?" Usher's eyes narrowed. Most players would've scoffed. But not Usher. He knew too well: if Orgod called something a trump card, it was a trump card. He pressed the attack, intensifying the storm of arrows—an overwhelming barrage that seemed to blanket heaven and earth. Under Ethereal Oblivion, the arrows vanished as soon as they left the bow, becoming invisible death. "This is your downfall, Orson," Ivy said coldly. "Your pride ends here—starting with this clone." "Stop pretending," CrimsonTiger sneered. "You can put lipstick on an E-rank spell, but it's still garbage!" Orson's chuckle came through the mist. "Remember this—an E-rank skill, if used right, can even break a Forbidden Curse." "That's just him talking tough now," the male caster muttered in the stream. "Shut up," SirLagsALot growled. "When the guild leader speaks, it's truth. Orson already won by forcing Usher to use his trump card on a clone." "And without the dual slow effects, I'd probably already be dead," Orson murmured. Despite the heavy mists, the arrows were too many. He couldn't dodge them all—not even with tricks. Usher had removed all elemental enchants from his arrows, nullifying Orgod's usual element-based sensing abilities. "Top mages can track attacks through elemental flows," Usher had said. "But not if there's no element." "Exactly," Orson thought, slightly impressed. Usher's growth was stunning—far beyond his past life. A rich player with high-level awareness? That was the most terrifying kind of enemy. "But you missed one thing." A smile tugged at Orson's lips. Usher's expression changed instantly. He rushed forward, diving straight into the mist with the Hell Golems. "What's he doing?! He's diving into Orgod's zone—does he want to get one-shot?" EclipseRider was stunned. The guild members of Dragon's Kiss were equally confused. Why would Usher risk it now? But Orson had already seen through him. "Invisible arrows might not be visible," he thought, "but they still leave a trace." The battlefield was a ruined cathedral under moonless night—normally a disadvantage for mages. But Orgod wasn't normal. Mages in Infinite Dimensions were the most expensive and field-controlling class in the game. Veiled Mists, though weak in damage, allowed total visual disruption—especially effective at night. Within the mist, faint white streaks sliced through the fog like fish darting beneath the surface of the sea. To others, the mist was chaos. To Orson—it was a map. He could read the density of incoming arrows, navigate between gaps, and even force his way through tight lanes using his high HP pool. Chaos Magic Ball exploded ahead, shattering incoming arrows. Where he couldn't dodge, he tanked. Deliberately taking hits to the arms and shoulders, he avoided fatal injuries and status procs. Even so, within seconds, his body was covered in blood, dozens of arrows lodged in him. His HP dipped to less than 300,000. Ivy's voice trembled. "Simple," Orson said, stepping out of the mist, voice calm. "Because I'm strong enough." A bloodied, staggering silhouette emerged from the fog—like an unkillable demon. Usher's expression twisted. His rage erupted into an up-close barrage. But Orson had been waiting for him. In his hand, a gleaming spear of azure light. Awakening: Hurricane Spear! Awakening: Purgatory-Seeking Arrow! At the same instant, both unleashed their final skills. CRITICAL HIT - 900,000! CRITICAL HIT - 260,000! "Who won?! Who the hell won?!" "Too far! I can't see a damn thing!" The stream exploded into chaos. On the field—total silence. "Save the guild master! Move, now!" "I'll slaughter every Godslayer in the game!!" Dozens of flying beasts took to the sky from the demon cathedral. Everyone was rushing toward the blast zone. "We can't lose this one. Ivy, get the priest ready!" Skyslasher clenched his fists. "No. Usher said no interference," Ivy muttered, riding a frost dragon. "Everyone calm down! DO NOT approach!" TitanBreaker's shout rang out. Dragon's Kiss members circled overhead, trembling with anxiety but holding position. Orson was launched backward from skill recoil, while Usher's body spiraled through the air, half blown apart. His black wings began fading. Usher's face twisted in despair. He had come so close. So damn close. For a moment, he saw what could have been—what should have been. But this was Infinite Dimensions. In this world—only the victor matters. Orson's expression remained unreadable. Suddenly, he leapt up from the ground. A chaotic hexagram flared beneath him. Awakening: Eclipse of the Underworld! A black sphere expanded outward, swallowing everything around them in pure darkness. One of the Hell Golems froze, eyes wide. "How… how did he know?!" "I don't get it. I DON'T GET IT! Can he really be omniscient?!" "What separates him from a god?!" "What's the difference between him and the doomsday threat Rebellion warned us about?!" The Golem began laughing, face twisted with madness. But in that darkness—no sound could escape. Private Message: Anonymous — "Perishing with my clone should be enough of an honor for you." Then faded into a bitter smirk. "So this is how the Archmage praises someone… What a joke." Black parasites crawled over the Hell Golem.
