Multiple upper-tier Dragon Kings had fallen in under a month. It was getting hard to believe this wasn't the work of one man—or one team.
"It's Usher! I swear it was him—I saw the Demonic Citadel parked just outside the capital! The magical aftershocks spread for hundreds of kilometers!"
"Exactly! I saw it too. That Purple-Gold Dragon King was a beast, but he was nothing compared to Dragon's Kiss Guild's forces!"
"You ever see a solo army fire a thousand spells at once? Turned the Dragon King into a damn colander. That dying scream was chef's kiss."
"They seriously don't care about credit anymore, huh?" Bradley muttered.
The nonsense on the world chat was getting absurd. Shady commenters—probably paid shills—were hyping up Usher as if they'd witnessed the whole battle firsthand.
Meanwhile, the real crew just watched in silence as Crimson Lizard King literally chewed up and swallowed Daloré. Bones and all. Not a scrap left.
World chat almost made them doubt their own memories. Had they just imagined the battle of a lifetime?
Crimson Lizard King, back in her humanoid form, wiped the dragon blood from her lips without an ounce of grace.
A deep, satisfied belch. Her stomach visibly bulged.
Stewart whistled. "Lady, your appetite's seriously next level…"
The dragoness shot him a disdainful glance and strode out of the tower, following her master with haughty elegance.
"All that for just a 15% stat boost? That was a millennium-old lizard—seems kinda stingy, doesn't it?" Orson frowned.
Crimson Lizard King scoffed and ignored his whining, vanishing into the spatial rift.
"She even glared at me."
Orson sighed. The smarter she got, the sassier she became. If this kept up, one day he'd probably have to spank some respect back into her.
He pocketed Daloré's weakened law ability—Starseal—into the Supreme Soul Disc.
The law itself made Orson shake his head. It only had one trait:
Basic attacks applied a stacking Starseal buff. Hit the same target 99 times consecutively to trigger the actual seal.
If the combo broke, the counter reset to zero.
But when the buff fully stacked, it was powerful—it applied a Starseal Lock, immobilizing the target for 1–3 minutes, depending on their tenacity. It couldn't be removed by Body Domination–type skills and was only broken by an attack.
The seal duration scaled with Orson's level, up to 30–60 minutes at level 120.
Sure, it sounded lame—no damage, high setup—but to Orson, it was perfect for elite encounters.
Against multiple bosses? Seal one, crush the other.
And the fact that it bypassed Body Domination was huge. Most top-tier bosses relied on those types of immunity skills. Once that was nullified, they were helpless.
"Feels like even Dragon Kings aren't enough anymore…"
Crimson Lizard King's attribute growth was slowing. Even with this kill, Orson had only just hit level 75, and the attribute bonuses had been half what he got from killing Soros.
If this kept up, killing another Dragon King would yield even less.
Her racial passive Picky Eater only triggered on devouring Dragon Kings. But at this rate, even if she ate all six remaining ones, she'd barely reach quasi-God-tier.
Not enough dragons? Well… that's awkward.
"Guess I'll need to find her a new flavor," Orson muttered.
That offhand thought would soon spell doom for Dragon Kings in other regions.
Daloré's loot drop was bonkers: rare dragon materials, Forbidden Magic–tier accessories at level 100, all priceless.
Orson didn't even bother checking them—no one could equip them yet.

Caveat: Using the scroll causes 90 seconds of inescapable immobility. If you take even 1 damage, the cast fails and the scroll detonates—killing the user.
In most players' hands, this would seal one or two enemies.
