Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 122

Demon Emperor and the others felt their hearts racing as they stared in disbelief at the scene unfolding before them. They were helpless in this situation. It wasn't over yet. Just as the massive rain blades were thrown into the air, they were once again frozen by the Ice Prison Ring, transforming into countless ice crystal blades! Each ice crystal blade seemed like a simple attack with no major threat. However, the sheer number of them was staggering. Millions of ice crystal blades rained down indiscriminately. A group of Earth Knights and Warriors raised their shields to block, but in the blink of an eye, their shields were shattered to pieces. No way to dodge, no way to block! Their body armor was torn to shreds! What made this even worse was that once struck by the ice crystals, the target would immediately suffer from the Chaos Flame burn, almost like a lingering curse. Unless one had invincibility skills, no one could survive for more than a few seconds. This combo attack wasn't something that even Orson himself could handle further with precise control. The sheer scale and damage of the attack were too much for even him to fine-tune any longer. "Don't just watch. Head up top with me," Orson said, patting Drunken Dream on the shoulder. The Crimson Lizard King, enduring the storm of ice blades, lifted the unfortunate soul and placed him on its back. Drunken Dream snapped back to reality, only to realize that he was now being carried in the claws of the Crimson Lizard King. The Crimson Lizard King glared at its prey, and if not for Orson's interference, this guy would've been crushed long ago. "Stay where you are!" Blank, dodging the rain of ice blades with incredible agility, still wasn't fast enough. She was struck by one of the ice blades, freezing her to the core. "Stop spamming your damn skills!" Orson coldly watched below, where large groups of players and NPCs fell. Someone shouted a mysterious code: "Idiot NPC!" In the blink of an eye, 800 players had died, and the floor of the wedding hall, now nearly levelled, was scattered with shiny loot. "This isn't just a difference in power, it's a strategic mistake. I fully admit defeat..." Even Demon Emperor, whose health was as thick as an enraged warrior's, barely lasted five or six seconds. He kneeled on one knee, unwilling to accept his fate. The entire lord's manor had become as lively as fireworks, with many players losing their souls in the process. "You recover to full health. We only have five minutes. Each of you handle one of the Xien family's strong NPCs," Orson casually said. "...My friend, though I pride myself on my skills, are you really asking me to solo an NPC lord?" Drunken Dream hesitated, suddenly unsure of himself. He was panicking. His Earth Knight shield had already been destroyed, and now this mysterious NPC was asking him to fight the NPC warrior solo. Was he supposed to embarrass himself? An old joke echoed in his mind: "Go deal with the Tang Monk and his disciples..." "No, it's not too much. An S-rank class can't be weak. You haven't even tapped into the potential of a Dragon Rider," Orson said, pulling back his "nuclear radiation" range. Despite his absurd mana, even Orson was struggling to maintain his spells at full strength. "Your battle instincts are good, but you need to trust the skill mechanics," Orson said, casting a quick glance at Drunken Dream. Drunken Dream gave a bitter smile and shook his head. "I can only guarantee I'll die slowly." Orson tried to encourage him, saying, "My young mount..." Drunken Dream suspected he had misheard, and Orson immediately corrected himself, saying seriously, "Adventurer, you must have more confidence. There's a mighty dragon waiting for you to conquer!" Orson mentally sighed with relief. It had almost slipped out. Luckily, Drunken Dream, being so naive, still believed he was an NPC. This kid was surprisingly easy to deceive! Orson had noticed that Drunken Dream was highly skilled with the Dragon Spear's basic attacks but rarely used his skills. Of course, it wasn't because he didn't want to use them, but because he wasn't confident in them. The Dragon Rider skills were powerful, but their long casting time and unavoidable delay made them risky. If he wasn't careful, the opponent could counter-attack with a combo, and he'd end up dead. The Earth Knight Leader growled, "The Xien family will not be desecrated! Jella, force him down!" Magician Earth Jella summoned dozens of wind blades, attempting to knock the Crimson Lizard King out of the sky. But Orson didn't retreat; instead, he commanded the Crimson Lizard King to dive rapidly. With a sharp release of its claws, Drunken Dream was thrown to the ground, rolling back into battle against the Earth Knight Leader. Orson stomped down, leaping off the Crimson Lizard King's back, his precise movement astonishing Drunken Dream. Wait, what was this mysterious friend of his? Was he a mage, a summoner, or a rogue? Orson immediately cast Chaos Magic Ball at Jella. Both NPCs had high health and tough skins, so despite the insane barrage of ice crystal blades, they only lost about three hundred thousand health. However, their armor was nearly destroyed, which made it easier for Orson to land his attacks, as every hit was now a critical. "Watch the gate. Take one down if you can. If two come, have a snack!" Orson shouted at the Crimson Lizard King. The Crimson Lizard King, eyes blazing, wickedly extended its head outside the banquet hall, preparing to destroy the resurrecting players with a deadly sniper attack. Dynasty Old Yin: "Kill! I heard there's a dragon egg inside. If I grab that, I'll secure my position as guild leader!" Ride Donkey find a girl: "Then go ahead and rush forward! Why are you pushing me, old man? Didn't you see all those people respawning? There's something fishy going on here!" A breath of destruction swept across the revived players, instantly obliterating them. Ride Donkey froze for a second, about to retreat, but his teammates didn't care. As usual, the meat shield had to go first—this was the truth of Infinite Dimensions! Of course, dying first was the proper way! Heartbroken Loli: "Wait for me, brothers! Why are you all lying down again? Oh no..." "I swear I'm never teaming up with the vice-guild leader again! Damn it!" At the resurrection point, their faces were filled with tears. They had gained nothing, and even lost a level and a half. First hunted by "Madman's Curse," then mysteriously AoE'd. How were they supposed to play this game? On the other side, the Dragon Spear collided with the Earth Hammer, sending sparks flying. The Earth Knight Leader tried his usual trick, but this was useless against a blind man like Drunken Dream. Drunken Dream squinted his eyes and instinctively tried to use basic attacks, but Orson immediately stopped him, saying, "Like a Dragon Shaking the Earth! Knockback with Stagger Effect, break through the guard first!" Drunken Dream was startled. How did this NPC know Dragon Rider skills so well? Could it be that this mysterious friend had ties to the Empire's Dragon Knights? Or had he triggered some quest and this mysterious NPC was appearing to guide him? Even with these thoughts swirling, Drunken Dream kept his focus and operated smoothly, thrusting his Dragon Spear into the ground with a massive shockwave! The Earth Knight Leader staggered back, his body becoming rigid, his hammer falling to the ground. "Triple basic attack to trigger knockback effect," Orson called out again. Drunken Dream's eyes narrowed. He raised his Dragon Spear, landing two swift thrusts and a powerful finishing blow to the ground. The bulky Earth Knight Leader was sent flying. "The knockback height isn't enough. Use Overlord's Discharge!" Orson commanded. Drunken Dream immediately complied, sacrificing his body for a thunderous punch that sent the Earth Knight Leader flying. The leader was now floating four meters in the air, the perfect distance for Dragon Rider basic attacks to land. "AA, followed by Angry Dragon Piercer, then the triple combo, and Comet Rush... finally, Like a Dragon Shaking the Earth with AA to complete the loop!" Orson multi-tasked, constantly switching perspectives while dodging wind blades and giving instructions, "Wait for the NPC to break out of his stun, then move to dodge his Light Hammer—that's his strongest skill, but also his dumbest." Drunken Dream froze for a moment, staring in shock. "Infinite combos! I get it!" Orson saw Drunken Dream getting the hang of it. He raised his staff and began to unleash furious attacks, triggering multiple effects. The Flame Dragon dove toward Jella, but she dodged twice thanks to her wind magic, making her movement lighter than ever. Just as she thought she had escaped, the two dragons suddenly exploded, showering the It wasn't to deal massive damage, but simply to block her movement. Jella's steps faltered, and she started moving according to Orson's pre-set plan, eventually landing exactly where she was supposed to be. The final Flame Dragon appeared overhead, and before Jella could react, it was too late. Orson's expression remained cold as he activated Whisper of the Wind, maximizing his attack speed and sending Jella flying into the air with a barrage of magic. The staff released a flash of thunder, and Orson coldly whispered, "Thunder!"
