His legs were still healing up, but with a 4th Stage Qi Condensation Realm Cultivation Base, his regenerative speed had already reached a substantial level. It was enough that he was slowly but surely healing.
Regardless of the sounds that his cracked bones were making, Azmodeus continued jumping from tree top to tree top. He tried to dodge the eyes of all the Twilight Assassins that were spread out in the area.
He sent out all of his Mirror Mirages copies, taking out any Qi Condensation 2nd Stage and below cultivators. But anything beyond that level was basically impossible for the Mirror Mirages to beat in head-on confrontations.
So, in the end, he and Yang Hua still had to be discreet in their movements as they escaped through the Yang Forest.
He wanted to fight them for the goodies they kept inside their bodies, but there were just too many among them that were stronger than him to make fighting them to the death a viable option.
That was especially the case when he had the sorrowful girl in his arms—a girl who was still traumatized from what was about to happen to her not even a few seconds prior.
For a thirteen-year-old girl who's been spoiled all her life, I'm surprised she's still holding up this well after such an experience…
Azmodeus looked down at the tear-stained face of the girl who had already passed out in his arms. He sighed a little before speeding up, completely overlooking the fact that he was no older than twelve himself…
Azmodeus made his way deeper into the Yang Forest, acquiring a few million Evolution Essence from all the cultivators he killed with his Mirror Mirages.
He put 1 million of his Evolution into the Mirror Mirage Trait, getting it from Level 4 to Level 5 before dumping the rest into his Level.
After a few minutes of escaping the pursuit of all the Assassins hot on his trail, he took a look at his system interface while taking a quick break inside a tree trunk hole.

Azmodeus looked over his system interface with a slightly pleased look on his face.
He was quite happy with the unbelievable progress that has occurred in his stats, overall combat power, and cultivation over the last period of time.
However, he would need to solidify his cultivation base without the assistance of the system if he wished to have a sturdy foundation.
Even so, that would have to wait until after he found a way to escape the eyes of all the shadows lurking inside the forest.
On that note, there weren't only the Twilight Assassins; there were also all the various Spiritual Beasts that called the innermost depths of the Yang Forest their home. All of which were more than a tad bit famished tonight...
It feels like around every corner, there's an enemy looking to jump out and take your throat…
In spite of this, if he wished to make it out of this with Yang Hua and their lives intact, Azmodeus had no choice but to keep on trudging on the line between life and death
"If we can just make it toward the City of Yellowcreek, then we should be able to hide out until the chaos passes…" Azmodeus softly murmured underneath his breath, his eyes honed in on a certain direction to the east.
It was a direction that would lead them directly to the City of Yellowcreek.
However, there was just one issue that was presented before him…
One… two… four… eight… twenty… thirty-five… eighty-nine…
He counted a total of 108 Qi Condensation Realm assassins and a plethora of other Qi Condensation Realm Spiritual Beasts standing between him and the City of Yellowcreek.
I just don't understand how a mere Black Tiger Lord possesses such authority—enough that he's able to hire hundreds of Qi Condensation Realm Assassins… It just doesn't make any sense…
Azmodeus was beginning to think that barely any of this actually had to do with the Black Tiger Lord himself, but rather what he gave the Twilight Assassins.
I doubt he had anything of value that the Twilight Assassins would desire enough to send out so many forces… And there is only one other commodity that could elicit such drastic actions from a Rank 1 Sect…
"Information…" He muttered with a sudden look of realization.
But what information was so valuable that they sent out so many of these guys…? Let's recount the most recent events…
He pondered the subject for a few seconds as he ultimately understood what it was that the Twilight Assassins were given as payment.
They were given information about me, or rather, the fact that my master was in Spirit River City… It must've slipped when the Black Tiger Lord was contracting a low-level Assassin…
And it was due to this slip of the tongue that such forces were sent to raze the Yang Sect to the ground. They massacred all evidence that could lead back to whatever it was that those powerful god-like figures were aiming to acquire…
Looking to acquire… What could it be…?
Azmodeus looked down at the crimson black amulet on his neck as a sudden flash of realization passed by his black eyes!
