Meanwhile, in the main section of the battlefield, Azmodeus was conversing with Bing Nu Shen while in his crimson-eyed old man form.
And after a few seconds of exchanging pleasantries, he left the scene with his Frostwind Brigade and headed back toward the Fallen Immortal's Mountain, where all of them would be reassigned new tasks by the main body post assimilation.
On a side note, the battle to decide the absolute ruler of the Northern Spirit Continent had concluded, and the remaining peak experts bent the knee before Bing Nu Shen, who would henceforth be known as the Northern Ice Empress!
For the first time in tens of thousands of years, a new ruler had been crowned on the Northern Spirit Continent!
And the day of the inauguration of her position as the Northern Ice Empress just so happened to coincide with the day that the rift's all across Prometheus would be opening up, allowing anyone who possessed the necessary metal to break the world barrier and take the Astral Leap!
On a side note, Azmodeus had already informed Yang Hua of her father's unknown whereabouts somewhere in the Starry Expanse, as she was left a little bummed out before her resolve was once again reaffirmed, prompting her to cultivate the Elusive Ascension Art harder than ever!
Of course, she did all of that while eating delicious snacks and 'cuddling' with the Crimson Devil Lord…

And the result of this poll was that You Mei, Li Na, Yang Hua, Nao Long, Rou Tian, and Bing Nu Shen decided to come with him, while Jue Mei was left undecided.
This was mainly due to her never wanting to wake up from her cultivation session—a cultivation session that Azmodeus had tried to wake her up from many times.

It was unknown whether this tidbit of lore was true or not, but it was precisely because of it that all Absolute Monarchs of the Northern Spirit Continent had been crowned here.
As the relevant parties who were participating in the inauguration ceremony made their way to the ostentatiously decorated venue, a few sinister shadows lurked in the dark, talking about how they felt the presence of one of their rising-star system users have his life crystal dim and shatter.

An ancient voice that sounded oddly modern echoed out, as an old man who had been in the world of Prometheus for many years looked in the direction of the hundreds of other figures that had come with him on this mission.
Another antiquated system user turned his head in the direction of the old man who just spoke, as he responded, "From what we know, this is most definitely the place where the rising boy with the Physique System was killed."
"...For someone to kill one of us Main Characters, is it another system user…?" A different, far younger voice chimed in with a quizzical tone.
