Havana's POV
"Lock the door" he spoke, with a low voice that almost sounded like a whisper.
I stood dumbfounded, considering whether to just run away forever or do as he said.
"I said you should lock the door, don't let me repeat myself. And that St*pid thought of running away that you are in your head.
I will advise you to get rid of it as soon as possible. Because the more you run, the easier it will be to find you." he said, except this time his voice became loud, and he turned around to look at me.
I walked over to the door, with trembling legs, and locked it.
Only for me to turn around, to see him bringing out his belt.
"Everyday, I try my best to be nice to you. I do everything I can to make you happy, but you have sworn that all you want to do is to take away my peace of mind" he scolded me, as he raised the belt in mid-air.
"Ahhh!" I screamed in pain, shielding my face with my hand and opening my eyes, to discover that he hadn't even hit me with the belt.
Yes, he raised the belt at me, but only the breeze of the belt touched me.
Yet it felt like I was going to crash to the ground. The sole of my feet was wet, and I felt like the floor was slippery.
My heart started to beat as if I had been running a thousand miles. I closed my hand slowly, as I clutched on to my stomach, while I struggled to look at him.
"This is what it feels like. This is what actual abuse feels like, not my shoutings. If I ever shout at you, then I am surely correcting you, not abusing you" he threw the belt on the floor and opened his arms to hug me.
Havana's POV
Did he really think that I would just run up to him, to hug him? I was still struggling to breathe, trying my best to recover from the horrible experience I just had.
"I will never lay my hands on you, that is one thing you need to understand, '' he said, his voice sounding gentle and far less. threatening than it was a few moments ago.
"Yes, I am very upset about the fact that you didn't return home last night. You left your phone at home too, so there was no way for me to get through to you.
I am going to scold you, I am going to show my anger. Because that is how I am, you can't always be surprised by the way I feel and solicit with you.
And you will just have to accept that, or you are going to be scared for the rest of the two years that we would spend together as husband and wife. You need to learn how to look beyond my anger" he walked up to me slowly and held my hands in his.
The look on his face shows that he was being sincere. But, I don't know if I would ever be able to accept someone who would scold me at the slightest mistake.
Someone who would threaten me as if I was his enemy. He is saying he is never going to hit me now, but what if he changes his decision in the future. I am just terrified honestly.
"I don't know what to tell you Lucian" I gave him my honest reply.
"Look, from now onwards, you are not going anywhere by yourself.
You will have to inform me first before you go anywhere, and if I do not agree to that outing then you stay home" he gave an order, sounding so sweet and loving while he was at it. This man was simply unbelievable.
At first, I was like "Aww" but after a few seconds, the message hit me.
"What?" I became furious.
So I am a child to you now? No, not a child, a pet that needs to be caged. Lucian I am not a teenage girl that needs to be watched all the time." I said to him, but he didn't seem to care.
"I am not caging you, I am only protecting you. At least, until you learn how to be mature" he said, not raising his voice at me. Drifting from me, and not looking at me with the same look he had in his eyes earlier.
He was honestly trying his best to be as calm as possible, even while I was raising my voice at him.
"Mature? So you mean, I act like a child?" I walked up to him, and forced him to turn around. I made myself look him straight in the eyes, and ended up regretting it.
"Oh my God!" I staggered backward to the point I fell to the ground.
His eye balls were gone. His eyes began to look like a deep hole, something that one could fall in.
The whiteness in his eyes was gone, all I could see in his eyes was pure darkness. His eyes looked like a black hole you would see in space movies.
I couldn't even stare at him for straight five seconds, when I covered my eyes with the back of my palm.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" He asked me, sounding as if I was behaving extraordinarily.
I slowly removed my hand from my eye to look at him
He stretched his hand towards me,
"Get up from the floor drama queen" he spoke, with his right hand stretched out.
I hesitated, but I still took his hand and managed to get up
I immediately freed my hand from his, when I was up from the floor. I dusted my hand on my dress and looked away from him.
"You look beautiful today," he complimented.
How can he be admiring my beauty? After what I just saw, I was supposed to be running far away from him by now.
But, it could also be my imagination, I mean he looks normal right now. I just see things.
My eyes soon caught the beautiful flowers in his room.
