*Satvi Pov*
“What are you doing here?” I shouted at him and immediately looked around to see that my voice attracted few stares towards us.
I smiled at them awkwardly, hoping they will just ignore my shout, and they did as there are not many passengers around us.
“What are you doing here?” I asked him again in a whisper.
“Is this bag enough for your getaway?” he asked back, gesturing at the bag on which he has a grip.
“Yes!” I replied and tried to pull it away from his hold.
“Why are you running away?” he asked calmly.
“Are you serious? You are asking as if you don’t know.” I replied, rolling my eyes, and he stared at me like he really doesn’t know.
“A psycho guy wishes to marry me. Oh! You are that guy so you must already know the answer to your question.” I said sarcastically.
“Let’s go!” he said, getting up while pulling my bag away from me completely.
What I don’t understand is how did I not feel him sitting beside me all this time? I thought, shaking my head and tried to take back my bag.
“I don’t want to marry you mister. How many times should I say that to you?” I asked him all the while fighting for my bag with him.
“And how many times should I say that I will not let you go?” he asked back, holding my wrist and started walking towards the entrance.
“Leave my hand right now. I will shout.” I threatened him.
“Go ahead!” he said like he doesn’t care.
“I am not bluffing.” I said again and opened my mouth to shout.
“Like I said you can go on. When all the people will question me, I will call your dad here. I want to see how he will bear to see the buzz that will get created here in public.” He said, and my eyes widened.
“And, then we cannot forget the news reporters that can be called here. With that, there will be a picture of us and we can predict the headlines.” He added making me close my eyes tightly.
“So, go ahead and shout.” He concluded still dragging me outside the bus station, and I opened my eyes to see some car near the entrance.
He unlocked the back door and gestured for me to sit inside, and I did calmly. He followed and immediately pulled out his mobile and started talking god knows what as I concentrated to draw up a new plan.
“Congratulations!” he suddenly said, making me frown.
“For what?” I asked him confused.
“We can get married in just a few hours, so I am greeting you.” He replied and this time I had to shake my head a few times to actually think that he said those words.
“But you said there is three days time right? To this day, there will be still two days. So, what are you saying?” I asked him, hoping that I actually misheard him.
“I never thought that you would run away like this, so I decided not to give you any more time. I pulled a few more strings here, and we are getting married in a few hours at my house.” He replied.
“No!” I screamed and tried to open the car door.
“You can’t force me, and you can go to jail too. Anything done by coercion is void.” I said, staring at him.
“Right! So you don’t care about business and the house like your family. But what about the future of your sister?” he asked staring back.
“What about her?” I asked him confused.
“I got the business under my name for the past one year so that means Karthik and Leela is working under me during this time. I have to remove them from the job, and I may give very bad reference to their work.” He replied.
“You will not!” I mumbled completely horrified.
“Just imagine the bad reference from a top company who has dealt with almost all. That guy will be jobless then on whom will the impact falls. To top of that just think about his frustration, which he can take on your sister as it is because of you right everything will happen.” He continued, and I closed my ears with my palms immediately.
“I will marry you! Just shut up!” I screamed, still closing my ears.
I sat like that for a few minutes with tears rolling down from my cheeks. I leaned back closing my eyes and hugged myself tightly.
“That’s good!” he said, looking outside like he doesn’t even know what a wrong thing he is doing.
“It’s your turn to sign.” I felt someone whispering and then I came out of my thoughts to see that we are standing in some garden.
I looked around and saw my family standing at one side and then some guy, who is the guy that is going to do the marriage registration I guess.
I nodded without looking at my future husband and signed the register. There were the only claps of the officer, and then I saw that my family is the one who is signing as witness for us.
“You both are married now.” The officer said, and I stepped away from my husband.
“Take care.” Dad mumbled, looking at me and then added, “I am sorry! I wish I could do something.”
“It’s ok!” I mumbled, looking away.
Leela hugged me tightly but didn’t say a word or even asked a question about what am I doing here while I was actually going to run away.
Karthik just nodded at me and walked away following my Dad and Leela. Why is the guy behaving like this? We were best friends, right?
I don’t even want to know his reason, because I have some more important things to think about.
I glanced at my so-called husband and saw him shaking the officer’s hand. And the officer is smiling at him.
I shook my head and then turned back to only see a big house like a pretty big house in front of me. Why did I not notice this before?
I guess I was in too much shock, that I didn’t look at anywhere except my feet while walking through this garden place.
“Shall we go inside?” my husband asked, holding my wrist.
“Do I suddenly have a choice with this?” I asked him back.
“There is no escape for you from me, Satvi.” He replied, and I gritted my teeth.
We walked towards the main door of the house and entered inside. I looked around to see that surprisingly the house doesn’t look like some demon is staying in it.
It actually has a life with all the different colors of the décor and then the furniture too. I continued to look until he pulled me towards the stairs.
“This is where you will stay. I already made someone, put your runaway bag inside the room and some other things which your sister packed for you.” He said, and I frowned.
Exactly, for how much time I have stayed in my own thoughts without the feel of anything that is going around me? I shook my head, deciding to ignore it completely as I don’t have any strength at all.
“Don’t go to that room at all.” He said gesturing to the room beside the one which he showed.
I saw that there are actually two locks on the door and not just one. I raised my eyebrows in question already thinking what must be inside it.
“This was my old room where I stayed along with my wife. You are not allowed inside.” He said like he already knows what I am thinking.
I stared at him thinking, he may have made me marry him, but he doesn’t know what hit him when he realizes, what I will do to make his life hell.
Mr.Choksi, if I don’t make you choke on your life, then my name is not Satvi Anand. I mean Satvi Choksi now.
“Good!” he mumbled, staring back at me, and I immediately frowned.
Because I don’t think, I said in my thoughts out loud and to top of that no one knows to read my face as I am better at giving blank face.
“I have some work, so I will be in my office room. You can take a rest or even can have breakfast if you are hungry.” He said walking away not looking back at me.
I am not hungry, but I am definitely sleepy! I thought walking inside the room and lay on the bed.
I drifted off into sleep within minutes still with the aim to make him regret the day he forced me to wed him.
