Sleep was impractical last night, even after the late run in Chantria's form. Thoughts over the Dragon King's letter kept flowing about.
In this case with the infuriating thoughts, lead me to work on some further paperwork. There is an issue at hand that will be acquiring my attention, so this needs to be done as efficently as possible. My mind will be able to have sole focus on that matter once it has been officially presented from the Dragon King.
Czar comes in at one point and gets to sorting the paperwork over to the appropiate places. Zalia has made sure we have both ate, and joined in assisting with which work to go over next for me.
I adore my friends in all of their help and loyalty. It is times like this we work so effortless together, which shows as all the packs are cared for and living harmoniously.
The mail comes in prior to dinner, which makes me quick to surface through it all. The last one to be seen is another from the Dragon King.
With a quick motion, the letter is open and I am reading the words that were sent.
It should seem the Dragon King is having issues that involve rogues. They are injuring his people while they are out in their spirit forms enjoying some roaming time. This has caused many of the dragons to forgo roaming in their spirit forms alone or all together, a very serious manner as it is vital for their spirits like ours.
The King has been captures the rogues responible for trespassing and is currently holding them within the cells.
"What does it say?" Zalia asks, sitting in the seat close by.
"The Dragon King is requesting I go for a visit, due to rogues harming his people and trespassing." My eyes keep scanning the letter over again.
"It is an honor for a leader from a different species invite you over. It also must mean this is a dire situation." Czar puts his work down.
"Will you two be happy to accompany me on this trip? I prefer not to go without my Beta and friend."
"Of couse, we will." Czar smiles and Zalia agrees.
"We must be off to pack a bag for stay then." I stand and put many of the important documents into the safe, making sure it was locked. There is no chances taken and I will not allow my packs to fall because someone does something foolish.
Czar and Zalia leave the office to get their needed items packed. While I do the same.
The dilemma is. What to pack? This is a formal event being with another ruler, but I want to be comfortable too.
I walk to my closet and pull a pair of dress pants out with a lovely blouse. That is one of the best things over the years, females can wear pants without being frowned upon. It was a period of happiness for me, as the dresses where a constant bother.
The older dresses were never comfortable and unbearably hot. At least the dresses now days are cooler and do not make my skin itch.
I pull out the luggage bag and start to add in several outfits, since I have no clue how long I will be. It is a mix between dresses and dress pants. The last to add in is under garments, along with hygeine items and a few items incase I were to need them.
I carry the bag out front of the house. The only ones that live here is myself along with Czar and Zalia, the others that are within our royal pack is placed throughout.
"Are we driving or running to their border?" Czar steps up to the side with Zalia.
"Drive would take nine hours and the run less than two. Nevertheless as royals, we are venturing into a different speices so we must drive. We rather not spook the dragons by showing in our spirit forms."
Chantria whines just a tad in my head. Having wish we could run instead.
We walk to the the garage and Czar opens the door. We each place our bags in the trunk, as I get in to drive us.
Czar moves to sit a box on the floor.
"Don't tell me." I let a small moan out, as I know a headache will ensue shortly.
"Your crown." Czar knows how I really detest it.
The crown is just for show, my power of authority is more than enough to tell others who I am. Rather not parade that artifact around, I am no better than others just simply born into the roll and trained for this.
Czar takes a turn with the drive before I took over again. Zalia assisted with getting the crown on properly and secure on my head. It was an overnight drive but we finally arrived early morning.
I pull us to the address that was sent to see a male. He stands tall and bows when I step out of the car.
"Wolf Queen, my name is Malik. We are pleased you could arrive so quickly. I hope the drive was not to pressing. If you would all follow me, I will show you to your quarters so you may rest and refresh."
I nod and follow in behind him with a small praise of gratitude.
"My apologizes that King Cohen is unable to deliver the proper welcome as we once again have issues with the wilds." Malik nods, and gestures to our doors.
"Please inform me once he is available." I reply before shutting the door.
The entire time being in this house Chantria has been content. There is a faint scent of hazelnut and caramel, so maybe it is part of their breakfast.
It smells divine so no doubt it will taste delightful.
I take my bag and open it to get the hygeine items out and move to the ensuite to refresh.
A knock sounds on the door, to which makes me walk over to open.
"King Cohen is now available for a discussion if you wish to do so in the next ten minutes, as he will be returned. It is understood if you require some rest first." Malik bows.
"I would prefer to speak with him quickly. This seems to be an urgent matter, so best to solve it just as swiftly."
"Follow me please, I will stay with you in the office until he arrives." Malik shows me to the office.
The smell is a little stronger here, but still faint.
