I woke up as the suns light beamed through the window into my face.
Stretching my arms to the side.
That means the beginning of a new day.
But when did I get into bed?
I swear I fell asleep in my computer chair.
Today started as usual, I stretched and yawned.
It's a habit of mine, after I do this, I feel a little refreshed when I wake up.
But I was in for a shock when I finally opened my eyes for real
By the way, the scenery in front of me was completely unfamiliar.
I thought I was dreaming, so I closed my eyes.
Then I rubbed my eyes and opened them again.
But the fact remained that I was in an unfamiliar place.
Was it someone's house?
For the first time in my life, I saw a bedroom unlike any other I had ever seen before.
It was an opulent medieval European-style bedroom.
The bed was easily king-sized, with drapery on the four pillars' corners to I don't know hide the goings on inside the bed?
I remembered that when I tried to turn off the game, my eyes went black and I got so dizzy that I lost consciousness!
Losing consciousness and dreaming?
I couldn't wake up from the dream, so I quickly pinched my cheek.
But one thing I was sure of was that it wasn't a dream.
How could I feel pain in a dream?
I must have passed out and then been moved to this place.
I looked around again, horrified.
Getting out of the bed, I walked over to the window, opened what looked like a curtain and looked at the scenery outside.
"What the hell is this?"
I couldn't keep my mouth shut.
This was not the city I knew.
It was not a city with a forest of buildings, but a collection of one to two-story buildings.
The city or town rather was surrounded by a stone wall.
The morning sun was shining on the city walls, and the scenery itself was exotic and very beautiful.
But this was not the time to marvel at the beauty.
What lay before me was a real landscape, not on a screen.
It was a situation that I could never understand.
I've heard that there are cities in Europe that have been left in their medieval state, but this was nothing like that.
There was no modern atmosphere at all.
The clothes of the people passing through the streets were the same and what's more they looked to be wearing tunics and toga's, and horses and carts were running along the streets instead of cars.
Furthermore, the place I was in was like a castle or maybe a temple?
It's the tallest building in the city setup on a little hill, and I can see the entire landscape of the city at a glance. I was in the bedroom of the castle, with the window open.
At that moment when my mind was plunged into chaos wondering just what in the hell was going on, I heard a knocking sound from outside the door.
Thinking that it might be the person who had created this situation, I hurriedly ran to the door and vigorously opened it.
There was an old man with white hair standing there.
He was dressed like a butler.
"What do you think you're doing? Bringing an ordinary person to a place !"
I asked the old man, and he started to look at me.
The old man suddenly called me master.
"Master? Who the hell am I? And who are you?"
I couldn't understand what was going on, so I asked him.
The old man and the two women in maid's uniforms standing behind him looked at each other with a look of utter fright at my question.
"I'm Landers, the head chamberlain. Isn't Master Julius, Lord of Aquitania? What is this, another one of your antics my lord?"
The head chamberlain's eyes widened.
He looked terribly confused.
But I'm the one who's confused.
It's not like I'm playing around here.
No, wait. Julius... Aquitania?
I'm pretty sure Aquitania is a name I know from the game I was playing right before I fell asleep.
Aquitania was a region where many events of considerable importance took place in the latter half of the game.
Come to think of it, I think the name of the lord of Aquitania in the beginning of the game was Aquitania Julius.
You think I'm this Julius Aquitania?
"Are you saying that this is the Lunan Kingdom and we are in Aquitania province?"
"Yes, of course. It's Aquitania, the provincial domain of the Lunan Kingdom."
His expression getting more exasperated the more times he had to say it
"You're saying I'm an Aquitanian?"
"Yes, master...today. What do you intend to do?"
The head chamberlain asked me, looking as frightened as ever the two maids behind looked like they were about to cry... and wet themselves.
I'm deadly serious, what are you talking about?
No, I don't care about that.
So, to them, I'm a character in a game, Julius Aquitania?
Does that mean I'm in the game?
