Another disciple reached her climax, this time sitting in the second ring of eight. At the same time, another star burst into life above Lin Qingcheng’s spiritual sea. This one was a little brighter than the one before but not by much. The amount of energy contained was hardly noticeable, just like before.
Before Lin Qingcheng could be disappointed again, another disciple let out a sharp cry, leading to a second star appearing. Then, before she could react at all, a third disciple yelled loudly and collapsed, propelling another star into existence.

“Master…” She called out.
Chen Wentian answered through his soul embedded within the Golden Serpent Robe.
Lin Qingcheng quickly explained everything that had happened up until now as well as her experiences.
“Don’t be discouraged,” Chen Wentian said soothingly, “No obvious effects might not mean that there were no effects at all. Keep trying. They are disciples of the House of Paradise, I’m sure they won’t mind.”
“Yes, understood.” Lin Qingcheng opened her eyes and called out to the room, “Everyone, take a small break. We will try this again!”
The women stood up quickly. Some went to the washroom. Others cleaned their areas due to making a mess. After some quick refreshments, they were back and seated in the array.
Their chosen instruments of pleasure once again went to work. Not long after, another round of fireworks and light bursts took place within Lin Qingcheng’s spiritual sea.
“How is it?” Zhou Ziyun asked after the second session.
“Good… really good!” Lin Qingcheng replied, her voice surprisingly loud and energetic.
“What do you mean? Was there a breakthrough?”
“I don’t know. I don’t think so. But I feel great!” Lin Qingcheng patted her arm and punched the air, “Really great! I feel full of energy, like I’m bubbling from excitement. I don’t know why. But I feel like I could run around the whole Thousand Flower City a few times.”
“Oh… that’s very interesting.” Chen Wentian said.
“How interesting?” Zhou Ziyun asked.
“Why don’t you find out?” He replied cheekily, “Chengcheng, what’s your record for spars with Ziyun?”
“Master!” Lin Qingcheng whined, “Why are you bringing that up now?”
He laughed. He knew the record, it wasn’t pretty. She rarely won. In fact, she hadn’t won a single one in the last two months.
“Haha, don’t worry. Master is on your side. If you spar with Ziyun right now, I think you’ll win!”
“Really? Alright!” Lin Qingcheng punched her palm in excitement, “Sis, how about it?”
Zhou Ziyun scoffed and rolled her eyes, “Fine, don’t go crying to master afterward.”
With that, the disciples jumped out of the balcony and into the courtyard one story below. The various disciples of the House of Paradise as well as a few guests scattered in all directions at the sight of the Golden Madam and the fearsome Miss Zhou of the Zhou Clan.
In the center of the courtyard, Lin Qingcheng and Zhou Ziyun faced off. Lin Qingcheng wore gold from head to toe. Her fighting gauntlets also matched her outfit. Zhou Ziyun wore an elegant blue dress befitting of a noble lady. The silvery saber in her hand only enhanced her image.
“Come on!” Zhou Ziyun flicked her saber but remained in place.
As the challenger, Lin Qingcheng obliged and raised her fists, “Here I go!”
Her figure launched into the air. In the middle of her arcing leap, her metal-covered fist swung down like a hammer.
Sparks flew as metal struck metal.
Zhou Ziyun frowned as she took several steps backward. She was well used to Lin Qingcheng’s strength. This strike just now exceeded her expectations by a little bit. She didn’t think Lin Qingcheng would go all out at the beginning.
A fist arrived, forcing Zhou Ziyun to block again with her saber. This time, her weapon was left slightly trembling even if it was undamaged. The strength behind Lin Qingcheng’s fist once again took her by surprise.
“Hehe, what’s wrong sis?” Lin Qingcheng teased, feeling pleased.
She had indeed used her full strength in these two attacks. However, she wasn't tired at all. She felt like she could keep this up for a long time.
“Chengcheng!” Zhou Ziyun flicked her saber and advanced.
“Come on!” Lin Qingcheng beckoned with a smile.
She felt confident, even when facing Zhou Ziyun’s saber which transformed into streaks of light that were almost impossible to follow. Lin Qingcheng moved quickly; ducking, dodging, and blocking. She retreated when she had to and attacked when she could. She felt quick. She felt light. It was totally different from before.
“Sister Ziyun, I’m going to beat you today!”
