Days went by in a flash and Friday night finally rolled around.
Mr. Ville had arranged an evening dinner so everyone, including Yun Jinhan were gathered in a banquet hall, eating, drinking and talking about business and other things.
Juu wasn't inside the dining hall because Xiaolei made a deal with him. Even though Xiaolei was used with Juu following her even inside the conference room, Xiaolei knew that that won't be acceptable for her business partners this time. These people she was dealing right now were bigger than her so she didn't want them to think she didn't have any trust in them if she took Juu with her everywhere like they were used too. Of course, Juu was extremely hesitant despite her persuasion. He told her that he couldn't compromise her safety with anything else.
Knowing that he won't agree so easily, Xiaolei gave him a tracking device. The device could send an alarm in one press and the he would immediately get notified if she needed him. The device was handy and they even tried it multiple times while they were in the hotel. Gladly, Juu eventually agreed after making her swear that she would press the button once she feel any danger.
That night, Juu also stayed outside the dining hall just like all the other body guards of Xiaolei's business partners.
One of Mr. Ville business partner, Mr. Monreo, a 50 years old multinational CEO of one of the biggest company in Europe was also present in the banquet.
However, it was obvious that he seemed to be there just because of Luo Xiaolei. The man happened to be with Mr. Ville when Xiaolei first arrived in Continents corporation so she had been introduced to him. She didn't like him the first time she saw him. And here he was obviously trying to flirt with her despite him already married. Xiaolei was disgusted with his actions. She tried to ignore him at first but she's getting fed up with him following her everywhere inside the hall. He reeking with womanizing habits that just being near him disgusts Xiaolei to the extreme. She felt sorry for this asshole's wife!
What worse was that he didn't even back off no matter how cold or sarcastic Xiaolei acts with him. She even told him that she's married but the man said he didn't mind. What a bastard!
Completely fed up, Xiaolei excused herself and stood up and went to the rest room. She was afraid she might end up breaking that person's nose so she left. This was the final moment of this business trip so she just needed to hold on. She'll be back to her big panda real soon. Hang in there Xiaolei… this business trip should end peacefully at all cost…
However, when Xiaolei stepped out of the bathroom, the damn bastard was actually waiting for her outside. Xiaolei gritted her teeth as she tried her best to stay calm.
"Mr. Monreo, I already told you, I'm already married with two sons. I'm not interested with you at all." She said, straight to his face. This man was the absolute eyesore in this business trip.
"Haha… Miss Luo, you really are interesting." He laughed as he touched his chin with his fingers which were field with gold, showy rings. "Did you know? No woman ever rejected me like that." He added and Xiaolei bit her lips. She could tell that he wasn't giving up. The man still looked great despite his age. He had money and fame and everything so maybe he was telling the truth that nobody had rejected him before. But he was a reeking asshole she wished she could turn into a eunuch.
"You're telling me that you're already married but look at your ring fingers…" he smiled at her with a mocking smile and Xiaolei clenched her fists tight.
Somehow, his words finally made Xiaolei felt the need of proper ceremony. She honestly thought that ceremonies and rings weren't important as long as she and her husband were already legally married and as long as they loved each other genuinely. But at that moment, she finally how important it was. If only she at least had a ring, or their wedding photo with her that she could show to this asshole…
"I forgot my ring in the hotel." Xiaolei lied but the man just smiled again.
"I already investigated you Miss Luo. Yes, you're engaged. Engaged to the former CEO of Yu Empire. Was that man even still alive? I heard he's disabled?" he suddenly said and Xiaolei's eyes blazed in anger. For the first time in a long time, she felt that murderous feeling of wanting to kill a man. How dare this asshole badmouth my big panda!
"Miss Luo, I know you're a mere substitute CEO of Yu Empire. They're just using you, babe. If you become mine, I'll help you get the entire company and it'll be yours forever." His voice and words was so disgusting Xiaolei almost wanted to throw up.
"Say anything more and I'll call my bodyguard." She threatened bravely but the man just laughed again.
"I thought you're an intelligent woman Miss Luo. You should be grabbing the opportunity that was being spread out right before you. I know what's inside women's heart. They want money, fame and power. I know that's what you want too, stop acting like a saint baby."
Xiaolei was finally fed up. "So you're saying that you can give me money, fame and power?"
He nodded with a triumphant disgusting smile.
"Just that? Do you have anything more to offer?" Xiaolei asked sarcastically.
The man creased his brows. "Miss Luo, there is nothing greater than those three. Ahh… there's one more… Sex." He answered. His already lustful eyes worsened.
"Is that all you can offer?" Xiaolei asked again, her expression didn't change. The man frowned again. He smirked at her but it was obvious he couldn't think about anything more.
"There is nothing greater than those four Miss Luo, unless, you still want all the less significant things."
Less significant, huh...
Upon hearing him, an evil, mocking smirk carved on Xiaolei's face. "So, money, fame, power and sex are all you could offer, huh… Mr. Monreo, did you know? You're such pitiful man." She said and the man's eyes darkened with rage.
He suddenly raised his hand. Xiaolei was caught off guard that she was late to respond. His hand was about to hit her face when suddenly, someone stopped him.
