Luo Xiaolei almost choked. She didn't see this coming at all. Yu Chen's unexpected confession stupefied her to the core and she was at a loss for words. She couldn't help but blush. It was just too much for her heart!
\"I'll buy you lots of it once I fully recover.\" He added, still hiding his face and Luo Xiaolei couldn't take it anymore. She finally lost it and she chuckled. She cupped his face, making him look at her. When she saw just how red his gorgeous face was, she felt like her heart had just been shot by cupid's arrows and before she knew it, she tiptoed and kissed his cheek. She just couldn't help it anymore. It felt like it had been forever since she last saw this man being this adorable and excessively irresistible.
\"Since you're being so cute right now, I'm forgiving you for ripping my stockings.\" She said naughtily. She tilted her head and her inner mischievous demon took over. \"Was it just the ripped stockings that you are apologizing for?\" she teased. She knew she was being naughty. But would anyone blame her from doing this when her husband was this cute, especially when he was embarrassed? She wanted to see more. She still couldn't get enough of his adorableness. She was going to make up for the four agonizing months and drown herself with his cuteness like what was happening now.
Yu Chen was even more flustered with Xiaolei's question. His eyes wandered and he couldn't give an immediate reply, while Xiaolei was trying so hard not to grin and not to pinch his cheeks.
\"I…\" he started, looking into her eyes hesitantly. \"I also… saw it.\"
\"It?\" she echoed, trying her best not burst out. \"What do you mean by it?\"
Yu Chen somehow finally noticed that Xiaolei seemed to be hiding a smile. He was so anxious because he was scared that Xiaolei would think that he was a pervert once she found out what happened. But looking at her expression right now, he thought that she didn't seem to be as upset as he imagined. She even looked like she was excited to hear the truth.
Looking at her intently, Yu Chen swallowed air and asked her seriously. \"Do you really want me to say it?\"
The way he said it was unexpectedly sexy. He was suddenly serious and the look in his eyes almost made her gasp. What was that? Gosh! Stop being cute and sexy at the same time, big panda!
After swallowing her own saliva, Xiaolei nodded her answer and Yu Chen blushed again. \"I saw your…\" he paused. \"Your… your chest.\" He finally confessed, biting his lips, and was now looking like a child anticipating a good scolding.
Luo Xiaolei couldn't help but gape at him. When she felt that her face was getting red as well, she cleared her throat to regain her composure.
\"You saw… when you removed my bra?\" she managed to at least reply when suddenly, Yu Chen hugged her.
\"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to look… it was because you accidentally…\" he left his sentence hanging. He sounded so apologetic. It was obvious that he was scared that she would get angry at him.
His every reaction, his every word made Xiaolei's heart overflow with fluffiness and she didn't want to end this just yet.
\"So… you mean… you regret it? You regret seeing my –\"
\"No!\" Abruptly, Yu Chen cut her off as he pulled away in a flash. His hand stretched out as he held her shoulders while looking at her with wide eyes. \"I definitely don't regret seeing it.\" he declared, shaking his head, looking so damn sure. \"Your chest is beautiful…\" he trailed off and it seemed like he finally realized what was he saying and he blushed again. He even froze as if a lightning had struck him.
That moment, Xiaolei tried to keep a straight face but it seemed like she had reach her very limit.
\"Pfft!!\" a chuckle escaped her mouth despite her desperate attempt not to laugh. She could no longer hold it in and all she could do now was give in.
Xiaolei held his face again and lightly pinched his cheeks as she chuckled.
\"Sorry… you're just so cute I couldn't help but laugh.\" She said and the frozen man blinked in confusion.
\"Y-you're not angry?\" he asked, still a little doubtful.
When Xiaolei shook her head as she smiled at him, Yu Chen let out a sigh of relief. \"Why would you think that I'll get angry with you? Hmm?\" Xiaolei asked.
\"Because… you didn't give me the permission to look.\" He shyly replied and Xiaolei chuckled again.
\"Are you saying that you would never look unless I gave you permission?\" she asked again, this time, she was quite mischievously intrigued.
For some reason, Yu Chen fell silent for a while. \"I'm sorry. I can't promise not to… especially when you're…\" he left his sentence hanging once again as he averted his gaze.
This time, it was Luo Xiaolei who suddenly pulled him closer to her and hugged him tight.
\"Sigh… there's no way I could stop myself from teasing you when you're this cute, you know?\" she uttered, gently, still smiling wide. And then, her expression changed. Her mood finally shifted from mischievous to emotional.
\"I missed you so much, Yu Chen.\" She uttered, squeezing him tighter.
\"I'm sorry for giving you a hard time.\" He replied, kissing her hair. His grip on her tightened as well.
\"I'll forgive you but promise me you won't let yourself get hurt again okay?\"
\"Mm. I promise. I'll be even more careful from now on.\"
\"Yu Chen, I also have a lot of questions for you. Can I start asking now?\"
Yu Chen pulled away and looked into her eyes for a while before he nodded. \"Can we sit?\" he asked and he pulled Xiaolei on his lap.
There was another long silence before Xiaolei opened her mouth. \"Our first meeting that night at my grandfather's birthday… was that a coincidence?\"
