I Created Scientific Magic Chapter 747

Chapter 747: Chapter 624 One month on the ship, two years on the ground Eternal Star, Magic Kingdom, Planetary Protection and Dimensional Supervision Office. Inside, the Grand Wizard Theodore, while sipping his coffee leisurely, was enthusiastically sharing his glorious achievements back in Wizard Land with a group of apprentices who had just graduated from the Magic Academy and been sent here to handle menial tasks. “So you mean to say you have actually seen the Magic Star in person and even had a face-to-face conversation with him, Mr. Theodore?” a witch asked, both surprised and somewhat skeptical. The rest of the apprentices also looked excitedly at Theodore. As an empire and church’s Grave Digger, controller of the magic network, and founder of the Magic Kingdom, Theodore was without doubt an object of admiration for all apprentices and wizards, especially since last month’s blockbuster movie had propelled this Star of Magic to the peak of his fame! “Of course!” Theodore said, nodding proudly. Seeing that everyone was genuinely interested, he continued, “This happened over a decade ago. Back then, Councilman Lynn, under pursuit by the church, took the knowledge and heritage of the Secret Magic Society and sailed to Yiyeta Harbor. I just happened to work under the Grand Wizard Helram at that time, in charge of maritime transport and the inspection of foreigners…” Theodore, quite pleased with himself, recounted this story to the audience. If he really thought about it, he would have been the first wizard in Wizard Land to have made contact with Councilman Lynn and had personally witnessed how Lynn had risen from a mere official wizard to become the supreme ruler of the council! The group of newly graduated apprentices naturally listened with fiery enthusiasm. They had just last month learned in a cinema about the Magic Star’s wide-reaching influence within the empire, his revelations of truth, and his remarkable deeds fighting against the wicked powers of the church. Even when faced by dozens of bishops and cardinals besieging and pursuing him, Councilman Lynn, still only an official wizard at the time, had skilfully managed the situation, and had eventually dealt a crushing defeat to the pursuers at the imperial border harbor, killing thousands of the empire’s elite guards. It was said that a cardinal had to employ Divine Descent Technique to turn the tides of the battle. Now, Theodore’s narrative undoubtedly linked directly to that sequence of events. Just as he was about to reveal more plot details, a loud alarm suddenly rang out, causing Theodore’s expression to change abruptly as he urgently spoke. “Dimensional fluctuations detected, everyone stay sharp, immediately notify the councilmen—it might be the gods from the main world attacking us!” This planet-covering dimensional inspection system was the latest invention from the Magic Research Institute. Put simply, it could detect abnormal spatial fluctuations in the region, which were usually precursors to the opening of a Space-Time Gate! Meanwhile, upon receiving the communication, the council also reacted promptly. Fifteen galaxy-class warships and over twenty Legendary Councilmen mobilized, and thousands of Annihilation Cannons also adjusted their barrels aiming toward the sky. Fortunately, soon after, as a quantum communication arrived, Harrov and the others who had been on edge could finally relax and felt a burst of joy. It was Lynn and his team returning from the deep territories of the geometric civilization! About three seconds later, a diamond-shaped battleship burst through the surging Space-Time Gate, followed by a second, third, and fourth… “A month away, and the kingdom has changed a bit too much!” Inside the spaceship, an alchemist looked at the city landscape projected on the screen and remarked nostalgically, “I remember the last time I was here, the capital wasn’t nearly this big, was it?” The changes to the capital weren’t just about size; a new, even larger ‘new city’ had been constructed nearby. It was rather empty inside and filled with numerous large signboards, not appearing to be meant for residence. “It’s only been a month for us, but it’s already been a whole two years for the outside world!” another alchemist corrected. During their travels abroad, many had experienced a time flow that was seven times faster than normal, but now that it had suddenly increased to twenty times, they still found it hard to adapt. Thankfully, it had only been a month. If they had stayed on the ship for a few years, by the time they returned, who knew what the kingdom would have turned into. Lynn, however, wasn’t particularly surprised by the changes in the kingdom. During the past month, although he too had been on the spaceship, Eternal Star was his divine domain. He couldn’t possibly be unaware of the internal happenings, and all information transmitted to his brain at tens of times the normal speed. Communication from the kingdom quickly came through—directing them to proceed to the starport for docking! The crew then realized that the new city erected next to the capital was actually a newly established interstellar port by the council, designed to accommodate up to fifty galaxy-class warships, and provide inspections, repairs, and energy supply services. Under the intense surveillance of countless capital citizens, more than thirty massive battleships, each exceeding five kilometers in length, hovered one by one inside the port. The surrounding area had to be shielded with anti-force field magic, otherwise no floor tiles could withstand the frightful mass of the battleships. Harrov and others were already waiting inside the starport and immediately came forward to greet them. “Councilman Lynn, your expedition to the geometric civilization’s core territories went smoothly, I presume?” Since two years ago, when Lynn and his team had opened the Space-Time Gate to the geometric civilization’s territory, they had been in a semi-lost contact state. Although connected to the divine domain, and therefore able to receive messages from the outside, the differing rates of time flow made communication inconvenient. “The harvest was quite good, much better than we had anticipated!” Lynn said with a smile on his face as he briefly outlined his plans to establish a planetary ranch and casually requested that the council send some wizards to the new world to assist the geometric aliens with the genetic engineering and research of magical beast breeds. Using an entire planet as a ranch and artificially cultivating magical beast breeds through genetic techniques—Lynn’s grandiose plans once again left Harrov and the others speechless. However, this effectively resolved the most pressing issue currently facing the council. Due to the widespread adoption of magical education and the perfection of the magic network, the number of wizards kept increasing by the day, and the users of the magic network had even swollen to a massive 1.5 million! Of course, the vast majority of these people were just apprentices; the number of official wizards was less than a tenth of that. Even so, the amount of resources consumed was astronomical. In recent years, the prices of alchemical and Magic Potion materials had skyrocketed, and the large breeding facilities they had established couldn’t meet the demand at all. Lynn’s planetary ranch plan could perfectly solve this problem.
