I Can Assimilate Everything Chapter 241

Achilles pulsed with choices and possibilities as he felt the eyes of one person more than anyone, Rose, who clutched his hand tightly for warmth beside him. Granny Lila's gaze never wavered. She took a step forward, the soft clack of her cane against the vine-grown stone echoing louder than any fanfare. Her eyes, deep with years of time, pain, and joy, locked onto Achilles'. "You're cautious and afraid," she said gently. Not accusatory. Just true. "And I don't blame you." Achilles said nothing as he listened, waiting to hear what other words of wisdom Granny Lila could provide. Granny Lila's voice softened further, yet somehow it filled the entire platform. "But if you're already hesitant to say your own name now, child… then what happens when even more weight rests on your shoulders? What happens when the eyes of more Ancient Ones and Dynasties are turned your way, or if you do declare a Dynasty and protect hundreds of millions in the future? If you cannot proudly say your name now, you may never gain the courage to do it in the future, no matter how powerful you become." Her words struck deeper than anything else. Granny Lila gazed outward, her aged eyes landing on him with warmth and strength. "There will always be enemies. Whether it's bad banks with predatory loans, the ultra-wealthy watching the poor in poverty, unstable Advanced Humans, or these Ancient Ones or so-called Mythological Ancients I'm hearing of for the first time, they will always be there. Always be watchers waiting to strike. But if you kneel to fear before you've even stood, then they've already won." Rose remained beside Achilles, her fingers gently interlacing with his once more. "She's right," she whispered. "You taught me not to run from who I am. To fight regardless, no matter how stacked the odds were." Granny Lila nodded and continued, her voice now infused with a quiet fire. "You have a family name nobody can take from you. Don't bury it to please ghosts who fear its echo." Achilles clenched his jaw. An honor, and yet he tread carefully with it. Even whispering it made him feel like shockingly powerful enemies would descend upon him in that very moment, just like they did with his father, grandfather, and all who came before. "Adrastia…" he said under his breath. The word tasted like iron and fire in an endless throng of Lineage Memories. He turned away from those gathered, looking toward the edge of the platform where the Sea of Thalassara swirled with infinite life. The skies above danced in slow arcs of light, carrying the hopes of countless souls who had already chosen to follow him. He thought of the ruins of a world deep below the Kingdom of Neon. Of the Evolutius Catacombs, where his body had once nearly shattered from fighting weak Evolutius Beasts. He thought of the memory of his mother's voice, telling him he didn't have to carry it all alone. Of Rose's hand in his. Of Granny Lila's unwavering wisdom. Not because it brought fear. But because it meant something real. It represented a Lineage hunted and killed across generations, of which he was the last. He turned back to Aliya, who still stood patiently, watching, waiting, silent and regal. Her Dharma Commanders stood behind her like loyal statues, their eyes quietly taking in the weight of the moment. And then, Achilles spoke. "I am Achilles Adrastia Maxwell," he said. The words rang like booming thunder, his eyes burning with purple and gold flames as everything around him seemed to seethe. Even the starlight gushing down began to flow smoother. "And the Dynasty under me shall bear that name." The wind carried it outward, as if the world itself repeated it. All who heard it felt as though they'd listened to a heavy boom. As if they'd heard something far too sacred. Granny Lila nodded with a smile. Rose looked toward him, her eyes burning with pride. Achilles felt a heavy weight lift off of him, and he couldn't help but feel less tied down. Aliya's eyes flickered with faint surprise, then softened in understanding. "Then it will be done," she said with a small bow of her head. "I will deliver word to the Colony Cities under me. From this moment forward, we stand beneath the Adrastia Dynasty." Achilles gave a faint nod, but in that nod was the weight of generations. The vines around the tower shimmered. The Sacred Pools swirled softly. Far above, the Sea of Thalassara rippled once more, this time not from motion, but from acknowledgment. As if even the skies above had heard. The Adrastia Dynasty would be born. Not from conquest. Not from legacy. But from a boy who dared to speak his name… and claim the future with it. As he did so, Achilles couldn't help but wonder with a silent smile. Because while it felt liberating, the cautious part of him was what had made him hesitate before. Was this why his father and those before him had perished? Because of a decision , not being afraid to speak their names? He didn't know for sure. But at least now, he could say he could utter his name without fear. Aliya stepped forward, the light from the Sea of Thalassara reflecting across her glowing black-gold eyes. "And to make it more real," she said, her tone deliberate yet poised. "If you are to declare a new Dynasty, the impact must reach beyond these skies." She raised her hand, and a small projection of intertwining Dynasty emblems materialized before her. "In two days, the gathering of Dynasty Keepers and Ancient Ones will begin. All the remaining Thrones will be present. So will the Mythological Ancients and Primordial Envoys who have joined hands with some Human Dynasties. If we announce your coronation there, under the new banner of Adrastia, the ripple will be undeniable." Achilles listened, still steady from his prior resolve. Aliya's voice grew more formal. "We can plan a ceremony. A coronation for the Adrastia Throne. Let them see you not only as the one who rose Neon, but the one who stood firm in his name. Let our enemies hear it… and remember." She stepped back and gave a small, respectful bow. "This will not be a crowning of ego, but of purpose. If you accept, I will begin the arrangements. In two days, Achilles Adrastia Maxwell… the world will see who now holds the seat of a Human Ruler, a Human Throne, in this new Age." She was tremendously serious, and Achilles couldn't help but focus on this past Throne who wanted to make everything truly royal and official. But toward the idea… he nodded!
