Achilles felt a spike of alarm. The complexity of his lineage began to erupt, clouding his vision as a deep wave of sleepiness started washing over him, and he called out to Rose.
"Something is happening, but don't worry- I should be okay!"
He was still floating on Solareth's shoulders when he said this. But as the words left his mouth, his eyes became unfathomably heavy- like gates slamming shut, perhaps never to reopen.
A terrifying aura burst out from his body even as he slowly collapsed off Solareth's back.
Rose was stunned, while Solareth quickly cradled his master in massive golden arms.
Myxilith responded immediately, releasing a Moonshadow Veil that cloaked the entire area in artificial night.
Rose flashed to Achilles' side, shaking him slightly, but he didn't respond. His body was utterly still, lost in a deep, induced sleep.
But it wasn't ordinary sleep- it was triggered by a new quality, and because of it, Achilles began to dream.
While this happened at Fort Cape of Hope, far to the north of Neon where a Skyflame Tyrant had just been defeated- Luna wiped sweat from her brow.
Even though Nyxaria Moonveil Lunaris hadn't shared much directly, whatever she had discussed with King Primal clearly held weight.
Based on logistics alone, they were preparing to leave for something far bigger than the Holy Hyacinthus Mountain Flower alone.
Nyxaria turned to Luna as she concluded her instructions.
"You handle things on your end, and I'll take care of mine. We'll be ready to move in a few hours. As for defending the Colony City of Neon…select a few of the newly ascended Apex Ethereal Physiology Masters to stay behind. The rest can come with us."
Her words made Major David, Major Inu, Eloise, and Selene glance at each other. Nyxaria left the choosing to them and stepped away.
She returned to her usual spot, which was surrounded by gadgets and displays, pulling out a compact communication device. She contacted the same figure she'd spoken to a day earlier.
"I'm sure the information's already reached you and been spread to those in the Colony Capital of Virelux Ascendria. The Behemoth I was tasked to defeat has been handled. I'll begin preparations to return soon."
Her voice was composed, even as light static hummed from the other side before a voice replied:
"I told the Princess I'd prepare everything for your return. I can dispatch Royal Guards as they will arrive in a few hours to escort you."
At that, Nyxaria's expression turned cold. A flash of disdain passed through her eyes.
"No. I'll return on my own. And that's final."
She ended the call immediately.
Even though the man on the other end was the only one who ever treated her like a friend after her father's horrific experiments…she still didn't trust anyone from the Colony Capital.
Not when it came to her father.
And now that she was finally ready to move against him, she couldn't share anything about her plans or movements. Especially not with a Captain of the Royal Lunaris Colony Guards.
Shrouded in darkness, Nyxaria rose into the skies, black radiance pulsing from her feet as she shot toward Fort Cape of Hope where Luna had said King Primal awaited.
There, she would find out exactly how he intended to initiate the opening moves to take her father down. More than anything, she wanted to witness the catalytic reaction of his power- how he could elevate others so rapidly.

But she also wanted the chance to use her own hands to tear her father apart!
And so, a being made of darkness flew over the glowing skyline of Colony City Neon.
Above the city, the transparent Protective Barrier shimmered, shielding everyone inside.
Beyond it floated the massive Orbital Satellite, silently watching everything happening below.
Outside that, the Fortified Walls stood tall, guarded by a single Apex Ethereal Physiology Master.
And beyond those walls…

Roaming the periphery of Neon were a few scattered, weak Evolutius Beasts. They gravitated toward the city but never got too close.
They had learned what Plasma Cannons, Auto-Turrets, and the wild aura of an Apex Ethereal Physiology Master could do!
As one moved to the surrounding tens of miles around the Colony City of Neon and further beyond, the crowds of Evolutius Beasts gradually got larger and larger until they formed swathes of beasts with no end in sight.
