Shaurya nearly stumbled.
"You cheeky little...!" he muttered, biting back his frustration.
With no time to waste, he sprinted toward the nearest city marked on the map — Blue Stone City — determined to chase his goal.
As he reached the towering city gates, a commotion caught his eye.
A young girl, no older than twelve, was huddled on the ground. Her elder brother — barely eighteen — stood protectively before her, facing off against a richly-dressed young man with arrogant eyes and Three bulky goons.
"You think you’re a somthing till now? Your clan’s already fallen! You’re trash!" the young master sneered. "You can’t enven cultivate properly, and you dare stand before me?"
With a wave of his hand, the arrogant teen sent both siblings flying into the dirt.
Shaurya’s eyes sparkled with delight.
> "Ohoho! Isn’t this... exactly like those chosen disciple scenes in cultivation novels? Jackpot!"
Grinning, he dashed forward at full speed.
One of the goons raised his hand to strike again, but a flying kick sent him crashing into a fruit cart.
Now standing between the terrified siblings and the bullies, Shaurya turned and gave them a radiant smile.
"Fear not, disciples. Your savior is Here."
The other two goons attacked. Shaurya easily dodged and struck them down with graceful, controlled strikes.
> "Host cultivation: Qi Initiate Level 3. Due to Divine Body and System buffs, can fight up to three levels above."
"Oh-hoho, so I’m broken already? NICE!"
With that, he marched up to the arrogant young master, who now trembled in fear.
"You... do you know who I am? I’m from the Jade Fire Sect! You’ll regret this!"
Shaurya casually cracked his knuckles. "Yeah, yeah. Heard that one in a thousand novels."
He jabbed a finger into the boy’s dantian. Crack! A burst of spiritual energy shattered his cultivation base.
"No regrets now," Shaurya said coldly. "Your arrogance ends here."
Turning to the stunned siblings, he dramatically flicked his white robe and declared, "I am Shaurya, Sect Master of the Sanatan Flame Sect. I have seen the spark of potential in both of you. Will you become my disciples?"
The boy and girl exchanged terrified glances, unsure whether this man was a lunatic or a messiah.
Shaurya tilted his head. "Don’t want to? I mean, I won’t force yo—"
Both dropped to their knees with a thud.
"We disciples greet Master!" they cried in unison.

The siblings blinked in confusion at his odd antics.

On the way into the city, Shaurya nudged the system.
"System, I can’t let my disciples wear regular clothes. Give me uniforms. Something... sect-worthy."

They reached a bustling plaza in the heart of the city, packed with young cultivators. Banners flew high above various recruitment stages. Ten sects were actively taking disciples.
"This is the City Sect Recruitment Ceremony," explained the elder sibling. "Our city has ten sects. The highest one is Rank 9."
Shaurya asked, "How many sect ranks are there?"
"Twelve. From Rank 12 to Rank 1. Each has low, mid, and high grades."
The System chimed in.
> "System Sect Rank is calculated differently. Don’t worry, you’ll know soon."
Shaurya nodded. "Got it. For now, I just need numbers."
While the other sects had grand booths and golden scrolls, Shaurya... picked up a broken table and an old chair from a garbage heap.
He painted his sect name on a torn banner:
Then, putting on his system-issued sunglasses, he sat like a king beneath a tree, legs crossed, grinning wide.
He grabbed a handmade mic cone and yelled across the square:
> "O people of Blue Stone City! Do you want to change your destiny? Do you desire greatness? Then come join the SANATAN FLAME SECT — Where a new life begins!"
Nearby sect leaders blinked in confusion.
"Who... the hell is this lunatic?"
Shaurya smirked beneath his shades, confidence radiating like the morning sun.
