Chapter 103: Projection of Inner Force!
In that desolate location, even trees were sparse, making it a perfect spot for sniping.
If Ye Lingchen and Lin Ruoyu just stood there, they would be like target dummies.

Following that, he strained his ears to listen.
The birds in the sky flew by continuously. Along with that, he heard the birds frantic words as they flew away from the sniper.

“That human is so ugly. Especially that mustache above his lips.”
“He’s such a coward, hiding between that big rock and tree even though he has a gun.”
“Aiya, come look over there. There’s a man and woman hiding. The man is lying on top of the woman in public. So perverted!”
There were many birds, which led to many random voices mixed in his hearing. However, Ye Lingchen did manage to obtain a few important pieces of information.

He tried looking up as high as he could. Based on the direction the birds were flying from, he made out a general direction.
There was a huge rock jutting outwards over there, surrounded by the cover of trees. It was the perfect hiding spot.
“You stay here. Don’t show your head!” Ye Lingchen ordered as he started removing the weights on his wrists and ankles.
“You mustn’t go out!” Lin Ruoyu’s expression changed drastically, holding tightly onto Ye Lingchen’s clothes. She looked extremely worried and her eyes were red.
“It’s fine. He won’t be able to kill me,” Ye Lingchen answered with a nonchalant smile. With the weights removed, his entire body felt free.
The weights added up to a total of 70kgs. Ye Lingchen made a rough estimation that his speed would be at least two times faster than usual. Paired with his Parkour skill, his speed would be close to flying.
“Can’t we just stay here? Our reinforcements will be arriving soon.” Lin Ruoyu looked at Ye Lingchen, “That’s a gun! Furthermore, it’s a sniper from Earth’s Gate. He’s definitely above average. You’ll die if you show your head!”
“If we have reinforcements, the Earth’s Gate would have theirs too. If they are held back by this sniper and bring a few more people along, we will die for sure!” Ye Lingchen explained calmly. He took a deep breath, then locked his gaze with Lin Ruoyu, “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
Lin Ruoyu stared intently at Ye Lingchen, then suddenly leaned in towards Ye Lingchen.
Their faces were already almost touching. With that move, their lips met!
‘My god, did I just get... my kiss stolen?! Are all girls this proactive now?’

“You must be careful,” Lin Ruoyu muttered as she let go off Ye Lingchen.
“Mm,” Ye Lingchen savored the taste on his tongue, “You had strawberry ice cream didn’t you?”

Behind the big rock, that man with a mustache narrowed his eyes and fixated his unblinking gaze on Ye Lingchen.

The mustached man frowned, thinking that he might be imagining things.
How could someone be that good at climbing? It was almost supernatural!
Following that, Ye Lingchen dropped from the tree and sprinted to another tree, again effortlessly climbing up that tree.
Ye Lingchen was like Tarzan, jumping directly from that tree to another one.

He quickly composed himself and accustomed himself to Ye Lingchen’s rhythm, continuing his aim.

Immediately after that, a bomb-like explosion could be heard. The rock he hid behind made a loud crack and his body was sent flying off along with the explosion!

He spat a mouthful of blood. Looking down at his chest, he noticed a fist-sized hole!
That single punch not only went through the rock he was hiding behind, it even pierced through his body. The power of it was terrifying.
