It was something worth celebrating to witness such a performance in a foreign land. No wonder people would come over from afar to support that middle-aged man.
Very quickly, Ye Lingchen and co arrived at a casino in the heart of the gambling city. The casino was much larger than the other casinos out there. It was lavishly decorated, well lit as though daytime, and had excellent air circulation.
With an open space of several thousand square meters, various tables were present, from Mahjong to Poker, all sorts of games could be found.
The high ceiling was over 10 meters tall, which exuded magnificence. The room was divided into three floors, with a spiral staircase leading upwards. From the higher floor, one could watch over the entire casino.
Meanwhile, on each floor, there was personnel dressed in black standing five meters apart, most likely members of the security.
Apart from that, a magnificent feast was provided for them, neatly placed around the corners of the casino with around a hundred of playboy bunnies walking back and forth within the hall.
Within sight, they were all hot, sexy beauties with bodies of models. They were all at the level of some C-list celebrities or trending hostesses on shows, scantily and stunningly dressed.
The impeccable arrangements and grand decorations surprised even Ye Lingchen himself.
What a big investment!
“Grandmaster Ye, this casino is the venue for the competition,” stated Lu Tianxiong. “This casino is the most luxurious one in Las Vegas, and it’s the home turf of Australia’s Gambling King. Its anti-cheating technology is highly advanced, equipped with strong magnetic field interference. All forms of communication devices are barred. Even photo taking is not allowed!”
Those that are taking part in this competition were the big shots in real estate. IT was no surprise that they could have the Gambling King lend this casino to them.
Ye Lingchen nodded his head, “What are the rules of the casino?”
He took a sweeping glance of the casino. They were not the first to arrive. Several big shots with strong presences were similarly making observations in the casino.
“Win!”
Lu Tianxiong’s expression turned serious. “The competition is only for one day, from 9am to 5pm! The amount of chips that could be bought is the same for everyone, capped at 50 million. Within this period, whoever manages to collect the most chips will be the winner. The ranking will be based on remaining chips in hand by the end of it.”
After a moment’s pause, he added, “Within this period, gifting of chips and cheating are not allowed. This area is under full CCTV surveillance from all angles without any blind spots. Furthermore, we have countless eyes on us. Once caught, the consequences are dire!”
This was nothing like China. It was after all the Gambling King’s turf. Everyone had to show some form of respect.
“Big Boss Lu is here?”
A rotund man with a round belly walked over. His expression looked stern. Even when smiling, it came across as a sneer. He was definitely not a simple person to deal with.
Behind him was a tall and skinny middle-aged man. His eyes were different from the rest. Half of his eyes were red. Just the sight would creep people out.
“Big Boss Wei, how are you?” Lu Tianxiong too forced a smile out.
“Hahaha, Big Boss Lu, where’s your guest? You can’t be thinking of doing this yourself right?” Big Boss Wei’s eyes scanned around as he asked.
“This is my guest, Grandmaster Ye,” Lu Tianxiong introduced.
“Him?”
Big Boss Wei measured up Ye Lingchen with a condescending look, then accidentally let out a muffled laugh. “Lu Tianxiong, you found a twerp like this to help you out? If you’re really out of options, I can lend you some. Why would you bring someone like this and embarrass yourself?”
Lu Tianxiong’s expression turned dark, scoffing, “Wei Hong, your bad mouth is still the same. Just wait until we get back to China. I’ll make you cry!”
“Hehe, Lu Tianxiong, do you think I don’t know the state of your Lu group is in now? For three years in a row, you ended up in the bottom 10 ranks of the competition. Your status has long fallen to the bottom and you’re now barely surviving. To bring such a twerp this time around, I think you’ve given up struggling. Do you think I’ll be afraid of you?” Wei Hong sneered.
“Your Xinghong group is not faring any better.” Lu Tianxiong’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked past Wei Hong. “Oh, you’re changing your gambler this time?”
“Hehe. I forgot to introduce him to you. This is Hong Kong’s Grandmaster Meng Jiu!”
“Blue Eyed Monkey, Meng Jiu?!” Lu Tianxiong and Lu Hao both gasped deeply, showing a look of surprise on their face as they stared at the middle-aged man.
When they saw the half white, half red pupils, their expression turned ugly.
“You’ve managed to hire him?” Lu Tianxiong finally knew the source of Wei Hong’s brimming confidence.
“Hehe, the land being pitched this year is nothing like before. The locations are all excellent, situated in highly developed city areas. They will be placed as high priority development zones with unlimited potential. How can I not treat this seriously?” Wei Hong laughed condescendingly. “Only you would bring a twerp that’s barely even developed fully to this.”
They were all big shots in the world of real estate. It was only natural for them to be well informed.
Lu Hao immediately shifted closer to Ye Lingchen and whispered him an introduction.
Wei Hong was the chairman of the Xinhong group, also another big shot in real estate within Capital City. He had many dealings with Lu Tianxiong, all the while clashing both overtly and covertly.
As for Meng Jiu, he was famous in Hong Kong. Although his eyes creeped people out, it had a supernatural ability that allowed him to capture the shortest instant. It gave him the ability to accurately predict the dices and cards on the gambling table, resulting in his fame.
However, Meng Jiu had always behaved strangely and never took part in such a gambling competition before. It was unclear what methods Wei Hong employed to have hired him.
“Understood.” Ye Lingchen nodded, but his gaze skipped past Meng Jiu, instead focused on a white-haired elder striding over towards them.
The elder’s hair was fully silver, sporting a traditional Chinese jacket. Somehow, yet he did not give off the feeling of an old person. He walked over with a smile, seemingly filled with energy.
When they saw the elder, both Lu Tianxiong and Wei Hong’s expression turned grim.
“Hahaha, Big Boss Lu, Big Boss Wei, how are you?” the elder in Chinese jacket asked, smiling.
“Big Boss Jin. You sure are having a good time. The few plots of land last year have earned you enough profits I assume,” Wei Hong scoffed.
“Now now, that’s only a small profit. Last year’s real estate economy was bad.” Big Boss Jin smiled, “I’m here to let you in on some information.”
His voice suddenly lowered to a mysterious whisper, “This time, Hengtai Real Estate hired the Gambling King’s disciple!”
“What did you say?!”
“Gambling king’s disciple?!”
Lu Tianxiong and Wei Hong exclaimed in surprise. They exchanged glances, then stared at Big Boss Jin with wide-open eyes.
Big Boss Jin nodded, then said in a serious tone, “Although he’s not here today, my sources are reliable! It’s the personal disciple of the Sun Nation’s Gambling King, Miyako!”
