Kàthleen sulked on the way home, Derek glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, he knew she was angry but he was just too happy that she was going home with him to care about that, they arrived at Deloux castle and she got off and walked into the house. Derek quickly ran after her, leaving his car for the driver to park well, he caught up with her just as she entered the house, he grabbed her arm and turned her to face him, "just why are you so angry?" He demanded, two angry spots showed on her cheeks as she glared at him, "you were flirting with those ladies, right in front of me"
Wow, so that was where her anger was coming from, his gaze held amusement at her obvious jealousy, "I'm sorry, they just look so beautiful" she slapped his arms, "you're such a flirt" she gritted and he shrugged offhandedly, "I'm a sucker for beautiful ladies, you can't blame me, perhaps in future, I'll flirt with them at your back and never in front of you" Derek's tone was light as he said it but she got more agitated and he couldn't help but laugh at her countenance.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds," Nicole said from behind them, coming closer, she stood in front of Kathleen, eyeing her, "I see you're back" she hissed, her tone filled with malice and jealousy as she stared at her, Kathleen remembered when she had seen her last time coming out from Derek's room and she smiled coldly, "oh yes, I'm back and I'm going into my bedroom with my husband so as to avoid being rudely interrupted by a party crasher" she made sure she stressed out the word, husband, and Derek chuckled, giving her a smack on her lips, "my darling wife is so cute, isn't she?" He stared at Nicole, directing his question to her, she flushed with angry jealousy and without answering turned on her heels, almost bumping into Marcella on her way out.
Marcella looked at her angry face and turned to see what had made her so angry, the sight before her, made her grew cold, she sneered at Kathleen, "why did you come back?"
"Is that how to welcome your daughter-in-law? She's the wife of your son remember, and she lives here" Derek stressed each word . Marcella felt like screaming, she stared maliciously at Kathleen.
"Don't you have something to say to her?" Derek asked coldly and Marcella looked at Kathleen, how she hated her, she would do anything to get rid of her, her first plan has failed but that doesn't mean that she would stop there, "I'm sorry" she gritted and Kathleen raised a brow, " what did you say? I didn't hear that"
Marcella's eyes spotted, so she was going to humiliate her, she would pay for this, "I said I am sorry"
"If you're apologizing, do it sincerely" Derek's tone was dark as he chided her.
"I am sorry okay, sorry I conspired with Stefan against you, I'm sorry, sorry" Marcella screeched and took a deep breath.
Kathleen gazed at her for a while, "although you don't sound sincere to me but I forgive you" she turned to Derek with wide innocent eyes, "I'm tired, I need my beauty sleep".
"I'm here to carry out your every request wife" he lifted her into his arms and she squealed, slapping his shoulders as he carried her inside amidst her giggles.
Marcella's eyes narrowed on them, they had humiliated her so much today, her face flushed in anger, her gaze coldly calculating, she won't forget this day because she will make sure she collect her pound of flesh.
Nicole paced her room seething, "I hate her, I hate her, I hate Kathleen" she chanted over and over again through gritted teeth, she had to do something to get rid of that bitch, she remembered seeing both of them kissing and her blood boiled anew, hissing sound escaped her mouth, she was so furious right now, she caught sight of herself on the mirror as she paced and she stood, "why can't he look my way? I am even more beautiful than that bitch" she shook her head, she would never give up on Derek, "Derek is mine, he is mine" she gritted still staring at her reflection, "I would not lose in this battle, he would have been my husband right now if you hadn't surfaced out from the blues"
She uncorked a bottle of wine, poured some fraction in a glass, and gulped down, forcefully placing the glass on the table as she tried to steady her nerves.
"Wake up sleepy head, it's almost noon" Derek placed a kiss on her nose and she opened her eyes, squinting against the sun rays, Derek quickly adjusted the blinds and came back to sit beside her on the bed, his gaze roamed over her face, none of them had been able to get a good night sleep the night before as they had been so busy with each other, "you're staring" she groused running her hands over her hair.
"Am I? He brought the food on the table to the bed, "you skipped breakfast" he had asked the maid to prepare breakfast for her but was loath to wake her up until it grew cold, seeing it's noon already, he asked the maid to take the untouched breakfast away and prepare lunch, " here, drink this" he said handing her a mug, the scent of cinnamon hits her nose, she quickly drank the content and devoured the food he placed in front of her, he chuckled at how quick she wolfed down the food, " you must have been starving"
She rolled her eyes, " you have no idea, I couldn't stand a chance with you last night you know, you made me exhaust all the food I had eaten" she batted her eyes at him and he grinned, "really? And I wished to make you exhaust this one you just wolfed down" he reached for her and she slithered out of his touch, laughing, " don't touch me, you cock"
