Derek frowned, so she was the lady arranged for him by his mom, his eyes traveled down her frame, not bad, good looking but what was she doing here? No doubt his mother must be behind this, he wondered what she was up to, "what are you doing here?" He demanded and she gestured inside, "can we talk inside? Or do you want more press confrontation". Derek eyed her for a moment before paving way for her to enter the house.
" so, we are inside, can you now tell me why you're here?"
She sat down and crossed her legs slowly and seductively, her gaze inviting, Derek's eyes followed the movement.
"Can I get something to drink at least?" Derek felt impatience with her but kept his cool as he brought out a glass and a bottle of wine, he made attempt to pour out the drink but she stopped him, "won't you drink with me, it the least you can do for ditching me"
Derek made no reply as he simply went to get another glass for himself, she had already opened the wine and was pouring in the glass when he came back. She left the glass untouched on the table and stared at him, "I was hurt when you suddenly want to marry someone else's, our marriage was fixed already"
Derek raised a brow, "I wasn't informed, another marriage could be arranged for you".
She stood up, coming to where he was sitting down, and sat on his thighs, she pouted prettily" but I only want you"
Derek could guess what game she was playing, after all, he was popular with the ladies, this could be a way to ease the tension in him, a leverage to show that he could still continue his way of life despite being married, his marriage wasn't a love match anyway, he could take Nicole or whatever her name was, right here and now and forget about curly hair wife at home, all he needed to do is keep it under wraps and not allow it affect his business, he stared at her and perhaps had guess what he was thinking because she suddenly smiled seductively, bringing her lips closer and finally touching his with hers, Derek allowed the kiss, he would prove to himself as he could still have any lady he wanted and that Kathleen does not affect him in any way.
The taxi had stopped in front of a building written Deloux extension, she observed from the taxi as Derek suddenly opened the door and the lady cuddling up to him before they both finally went inside, she was right all along, she definitely has something to do with Derek. Kathleen's heart constricted as she got down from the cab, she asked the driver to hold on as she followed the path to the house, she would confront him and demand who the lady was, this was definitely a different lady from the one she had seen in the papers the other day, since then he hadn't been home, she was slowly realizing that perhaps the rumors about him we're through, she was married to a playboy and there was nothing she could do about it, she got to the door and was about to turn the knob when suddenly her nerves failed her, images of Tasha and Dave ran through her mind, the taste of betrayal she had felt, what if she sees the same image, could her heart handle it? Why was she meddling in his life anyways, he made her no promises, none at all but for some reason, it hurts, he had told her they would behave like a normal couple, was this how married couples behave? He was no different from Dave, the only difference was that he hadn't abused her physically, she wondered why her heartache for a man she claimed to have no feelings for, tears brimming, she turned on her heels without opening the door. She entered the cab, " take me back to Deloux castle".

Derek suddenly jerk away, his mind kept wandering to his wife, what was he doing? What was he trying to prove? He was angry at himself for reasons unknown to him, maybe he wasn't in the mood for this.
"What's wrong?" Nicole sultry voice got to him, Derek waved him off, " please leave"
Nicole's brow furrowed, " what do you mean by that"
Derek looked at her in the eyes, "it means you should go through that door and leave me alone" he suddenly felt the need to drink something, he quickly took the drink in the glass and gulp
"I said leave" he barked when he noticed she was still there and she raised her hands as if to surrender
"Alright, alright, I am leaving, okay" she hissed.
Derek made to stand up but found out his leg couldn't hold him up, he suddenly felt dizzy, what was wrong with him? He was seeing Nicole double, "what did you do?" He slurred, trying to bring her into focus, his head spun and darkness enveloped him.
