Is this the start of the main storyline?
Duncan instinctively thought in the way he used to play games, but soon realized this was an extremely free open-world main storyline.
Because whatever Human Form No. 1 wants to do is entirely up to himself to decide.

This creature wasn’t the undead form found in games, but a flesh-and-blood creature akin to a demon.
The Druid beside him suddenly spoke: "I have a premonition."
"It’s appeared nearby."
The Witch, Triss, murmured something silently, and soon the fluttering sound of startled birds came from the forest.
A faint stench emerged.
Duncan took the Northern Land war bow in hand, gazing toward where the ghoul approached, and said in a deep voice: "It should be over there."
"Wait for it to come."
In the shadow of the forest’s monsters, a twisted creature covered in black fur crawled out, drooling from its mouth, its hunchbacked body’s skin dark brown, completely covered in lush black hair. It reached the group, following some scent, then began digging the grave in front of it with its sharp claws.
In the whistling arrows, Duncan hit the ghoul’s neck with one arrow, but what should have been a heavy injury for ordinary people only made the creature scream in pain.
"The health bar is so long!"
This was Duncan’s first encounter with a Supernatural Creature; the ghoul’s health bar was about three times that of normal soldiers. Mortal wounds couldn’t easily kill it instantly.
Severus picked up his oak shield and one-handed hammer and charged forward.
The Witch stood still, but in the trembling sound of the wind, there seemed to be an invisible magic power flowing, and the creature appeared to be trapped in place.
Spells in the Middle Ages hadn’t formed a system yet, and Duncan didn’t know how many Supernatural Abilities the witch possessed.
The ghoul attempted to flee.
