“No wonder they placed the night-watcher’s statue under the big one. They are purposely humiliating the night-watcher, or perhaps this is to suppress him.” Gao Ming had an idea of how to attract the divine temple’s attention. Following the Soul Temple’s rules to the extreme would gain the unknown divine in the divine temple’s appreciation, and one would be guided to the divine palace. The other method was to challenge the rules endlessly to make the Soul Temple feel an actual threat!
Gao Ming’s personality forbade him from using the first method. However, he was an expert at the second.
“Friend, I have the confidence to help you ascend now.” Gao Ming whispered to the man. His voice was laced with confidence.
“What do you need me to do?” The cultivator sounded excited. Even his body temperature rose.
“Since I fell from the ninth floor, I’ve seen the true immortal before. You only need to follow my instructions and carve them out. I’m sure the divine temple will notice you.”
“Okay! We’ll return to the stone workshop now!” The cultivator turned.
“My tools and materials are there.”
“Materials… Don’t we already have that?” Gao Ming said lightly as he glanced at the stone statue in the middle of the room.
“If you’re scared of everything, why would you even consider cultivation? Go back home to farm your pigs!” Gao Ming mocked. With the plan in mind, he also became excited. The rotten wounds didn’t feel as painful. Even the divine glow looked gentler to him.
The cultivator took several steps forward. After he leapt over the figure of the night-watcher, his knees buckled instantly, “No. I can’t do it!”

They found the boulder that almost crushed Gao Ming.
“We’ll start the carving here. I’m in a hurry.” Cold water leaked out of the walls. It formed a shallow beach near the edge. Gao Ming lay down near it.
The cultivator took out the tools and regarded Gao Ming with suspicion. “Those above the form are called Dao. Those below the form are called tools. There are a lot of troublesome steps to ascend from tools to Dao. Are you sure you want to do it here?”
“Just follow my descriptions and carve out the true immortal that I saw.” Gao Ming acted annoyed. However, he was really buying time for recovery.
“Alright.” The cultivator knelt in the puddle. He chanted in the murky water. He closed his eyes and started crawling until his head knocked into the wall. “This is it.” Several yellow talismans were scattered. The stars flowed at the spot where his head knocked into the wall. He put down the giant stone on his back. “The dragon vein is in the ground. The treasure tower has a spiritual key. The chance of success is higher here. Now, we’ll proceed to the second step.” He took out the sharpest knife. He cut the centre of his palm. The sounds of bugs and birds disappeared. “I open the blade to prepare to sacrifice to the Gods. I request divine protection.” The boiling blood slid down the blade and splashed onto the top of the giant stone. The cultivator aimed the strike there. Pebbles rained down, but they didn’t sink into the water. They appeared to be held up by an invisible air.
“The third step is to shape the hidden God. I need you to give me the appearance of the immortal!” The muscles on the cultivator’s body bulged. Holding the carving knife, blood leaked out from between his fingers. He was focused.
“This true immortal has four faces. They represent death, pain, desire, and humanity. He also has eight arms…” Gao Ming closed his eyes and submerged his consciousness. It felt like he had moved over a recliner and sat on it to observe the God of Flesh and Blood. He didn’t know what the different parts of the God of Flesh and Blood represented. He merely described the God in his heart accurately.
“In this nightmare, he is the real God. The other divines, including Zhang Mingli, are nothing compared to him.” Gao Ming opened his eyes. He saw that half of the cultivator’s arm was covered in scars. The shallow beach was dyed red. The boulder had completely changed. Four faces glared at the divine temple. The eight arms appeared to be carrying the slanted night sky.
“Is this the true immortal that you saw?” When the cultivator said that, his body swayed. He looked pale. This activity exhausted him.

He used the same carving knife and stabbed Gao Ming’s chest without warning. The divine glow leaked out. The cultivator used Gao Ming’s blood to daub out the statue’s eyes. “Spiritual blood opens the eyes!”
Despite the giant gap in the stomach, the incomplete statue seemed to come alive!

“What golden light? That was the divine temple sending you an invitation.” Gao Ming had seen through the mad people in the temple. They couldn’t be saved, so he decided to take advantage of them.
The ray of golden light grabbed the attention of many. The others who were caught in their carving walked over. The cultivator wanted to carry Gao Ming and leave, but he was not given the chance.
The figures surrounded him. He was obstinate and said nothing. He held two carving knives. For the ascension, he was not afraid of death.
“How did you manage to attract the divine temple’s attention?” An elder in a robe and simple clothes walked in front. “I remember you. You are the town stone craftsman’s disciple. Did your master tell you something before he ascended?”
