Gao Ming touched the taboo and attracted the unknown existence in the black mist. However, everything changed again due to the outsiders. Gao Ming grabbed the students by their arms and ran out of the hotel. They raced back to the bus.
“Teacher Lee! It’s us! Open the door!”
The door hadn’t fully opened, but Gao Ming dragged Shen Tuxiao onto the bus. Wei Tian and the others didn’t know what Gao Ming saw, and they ran with him. Wei Tian was kind and responsible. He shielded the rear of the guard.
When he saw that Gao Ming and the students were safe, he grabbed the door. However, he couldn’t lift his feet. The step was not tall, but it was like a mountain for Wei Tian. His fingers loosened. Just as he was about to be dragged away, it was Gao Ming who pulled him onto the bus.
Teacher Lee quickly followed the instructions. Wei Tian, who lay on the ground, looked at his lower body in disbelief. He couldn’t feel his legs anymore.
When Teacher Lee pulled up Wei Tian’s pants legs, she screamed from fear! Wei Tian’s calves were covered in black and red handprints. His bones were bent out of shape, but he didn’t sense anything.
“Lock all the windows!” Chen Jing shouted and started to order the other students. However, no one dared to move. The two students who were at the front pointed at Wei Tian’s legs with pale faces.
“The handprints on his legs are moving! They’re crawling to his stomach! The handprints are alive!” The students quickly moved. Only Wei Tian and the flustered Teacher Lee remained at the front.
“He has been corrupted by the mist.” Gao Ming knelt beside Wei Tian. “Strange. They are all outsiders. Why is the existence in the mist so aggressive towards Wei Tian? Is it because Wei Tian helped me ?”
The bus shook slightly. There was no wind, but the mist surged. The God of Flesh and Blood howled. The chains clashed. He wanted to escape from the torture room to massacre everyone. The blood city tattoo flickered. Gao Ming had a bad feeling. He bit the tip of his tongue and tried to use his own constitution to suppress God.
“The dirty thing in the mist is coming over! The ghosts on the driver are luring them over!”
Gao Ming didn’t say anything, but the frightened students started to scream. They tried to blame their misfortune on others. Their reactions reminded Gao Ming of a few students from his own class.
A small Class 13 was a microcosm of the society. On the surface, everyone looked the same, but once the danger approached, their real personalities would be revealed.
Gao Ming even suspected that fate had picked everyone on the bus. Every coincidence was predestined.
The black handprints crawled to Wei Tian’s stomach. They crawled into his heart like worms. He convulsed from the pain.
“Go grab the medkit! It’s under the seat!”
“It’s useless. He is not even wounded. Stop tormenting him.” One of the students at the back said. It was hard to tell if he was being kind or selfish, “We can’t even save ourselves now. We’re surrounded by monsters. Instead of making him suffer , why not end it for him?”
Teacher Lee was shocked by the student with the cap’s statement. She didn’t think her student would be so cold-blooded. “Fang Tao, you shut up!”
“The ghosts have followed him here! What else can we do? Do you want all of us to die here?” A male student with a temporary skull tattoo on his finger shouted.
“Hurry up and decide! There are cracks in the windows!” A girl at the back screamed. Fear took root in their hearts. Everyone panicked. The bus shook harder. Black mist seeped in through the gaps in the window. The students were flustered.
“Stop!” The capillaries around Wei Tian’s neck had turned back. His voice was horrifyingly coarse. “I’ll leave the bus! Teacher Lee, I’ll leave the students with you.”
Teacher Lee and Wei Tian didn’t let Wei Tian go. However, Wei Tian shook his head. “It’s so painful. I feel like my body is about to explode! I’ll leave! Watch me close. See what the monsters in the mist look like! Trust in Chen Jing and Shen Tuxiao. They discovered something in the hotel that can be used to kill the ghosts!”
Wei Tian didn’t mention Gao Ming because he didn’t trust him at all. He even suspected that Gao Ming was a ghost. Wei Tian whispered something to Teacher Lee before he left and shoved her away from the door. “Close the door once I leave! You have to watch closely!”
Wei Tian crawled on the ground and pounced out once the door opened.
“I’m here! Come and get me!”
Wei Tian shouted loudly. He suppressed his fear. The students on the bus shut up. Wei Tian was near the bus, but they couldn’t see anything because of the mist.
“Come! At most, I’ll die!”
The shouting suddenly stopped. Everything happened much quicker than the students expected. No one saw what happened to Wei Tian. The only value of his death was to save the others. The thing in the middle seemed to have left the bus.
The atmosphere in the bus became heavy. Teacher Lee glared at the students who shouted to get Wei Tian out earlier. “The more dangerous it is, the more we cannot abandon our friends. One day, you’ll be abandoned too. I hope this will not happen again.”
Gao Ming was not interested in this. He sat in the driver’s seat and opened the package left behind by Granny Shen.
When the talismans were pulled off, Gao Ming noticed the words on the cloth slowly disappearing.
