“Gao Ming should be the one to run,” When Situ An heard Gao Ming’s name, his eyes shifted slightly.
“Are you scared?” Gao Yun, who only had one expression, had a light smile on his face. “I’m surprised there are people who can scare you. This is very unlike you, Situ An.”
“You are so much more talkative after you leave Han De Private Academy.” Situ An walked forward. He dragged along the chains and shouted at the headless figurine, “The God of the Future, I agreed to all your demands, and I am willing to be your disciple. Come! Use my body as your altar!” The headless figurine’s consciousness was not in the underground parking lot. Situ An knew that, and that was why he dared to ask God to enter his body.

“That’s because I’m still useful to him.” There appeared to be fish swimming under Situ An’s skin. One could see harrowing scenes in his open wounds. His body was filled with twisting lines. Most of them were rotting black lines. There was a small portion that had blood-scented red lines. Both were ‘faith’.
Gao Yun shook his head, “Aren’t you overestimating yourself?”
“Gao Ming might have the right to say that, but who are you? You’re not even one of the thirteen candidates to inherit the bloodred city. Stop stalling for them here!” A giant hole appeared on Situ An’s back. A lot of faith flowed there. Soon, an eye opened among the chaotic lines. The pupils looked around. If Gao Ming had been there, he would have realised that the eye was similar to the eyes on the mud figurine.
“Gao Ming’s biggest mistake is greed. If I were him, I’d destroy my enemies until there was no trace of them left!” Situ An’s voice suddenly changed. It was like he had really been possessed by God. The chains started to be infested by the black lines. The God of the Future was as strong as the God of Flesh and Blood. It slowly dissolved the chains as it attempted to control Situ An’s body.
“Those who covet divinity will die!” Another hole appeared on Situ An’s cheek. The pupil glared at Gao Yun. It didn’t care about Gao Yun, as if everything had already been decided.
Viscous shadow dripped out of the corpses in the parking lot. The chains on Situ An’s left arm couldn’t stand it anymore and cracked.
With a cold smile on his face, Situ An’s voice echoed with the divine voice, “You are next! Then, it’s Gao Ming’s turn!” Endless hatred pierced through the future and dyed everything black. Situ An’s aura was oppressive. He seemed to have joined with the death realm at Prosperity Neighbourhood. Gao Yun was targeted by all the rules. His life force was being taken away.
“Another shattered chain? Situ An sure is annoying…” Gao Yun observed. His raised hand didn’t move towards Situ An but towards his head. “A few more times, and I might lose the ability to trap him anymore.”
With a smack, Gao Yun’s head exploded. Inside his head were a lot of twisted red faith lines!
The crack spread through Gao Yun’s body. The white student council badge on his arm fell off on its own and landed on the ground.
“What are you…” Situ An wanted to retreat, but they were too close. The red faith didn’t give Situ An the chance to react and infiltrate his body. The red faith didn’t harm Situ An.
After dying so many cycles in the tunnel, Gao Yun gained a special power. After sacrificing his body, he could rewind a target near him to a specific moment in time.
Situ An, who was dominated by the God of the Future, suddenly stopped moving. The pupil on his cheek closed. The wounds on his body healed. His expression, memory and body reverted to 15 minutes ago.
While this was happening, a student in Han De Private Academy’s uniform ran out from a hiding spot. He picked up the badge and wore it on his arm. The moment he did, his expression changed. With a sigh, the student picked up the body with the shattered head and hung it around the nearby pillar. The lingering red faith flowed out to slowly corrode the headless figurine.
“Such a corrosion might present me with a chance to take over its vessel. Since Gao Ming wants the past, I’ll claim the future.”
Each hanging body represented a rewind and a sacrifice.
The student adjusted his badge. After he finished the last step, Situ An’s cold voice drifted over, “The student council? Gao Yun?”
Gao Yun lifted his head. “We meet again.”
“Gao Yun, you’ve stopped me once at Han De Private Academy. Do you think you can stop me again?” Situ An’s eyes were red. He had no idea why, but his heart was filled with hatred towards Gao Ming and Gao Yun.
Scanning the seventeen corpses around the pillars, something tore at his heart. He said in a dangerous tone, “I’ll eventually find your real body.”
Gao Yun raised his brow because this was something Situ An hadn’t said before in his previous seventeen incarnations.
