“This place is too strange. What has Gao Ming experienced?! The anomaly hasn’t even arrived back then!” The car was moving too quietly. After a long hesitation, Luo Dong drove for another hundred metres, pulled out the key car and got out to hide in the dark. He was basically down on the ground. After the surroundings returned to silence, Luo Dong pressed a button on the car. The headlights of the taxi were switched on. A ray of light pierced through the dark. It allowed Luo Dong to take a better look at his surroundings. There was an old bus in the middle of the tunnel. A lot of corpses were embedded in the walls around the bus. All the corpses had Gao Ming’s resemblance. The scariest thing was some of them were still moving. The wounds on their bodies healed. They wanted to crawl out of the wall, leave the tunnel and head somewhere!
Luo Dong had to cover his mouth from screaming. The thing he saw that night was far exceeded anything he had experienced.
“All the monsters that changed into Gao Ming came from this tunnel! But why? What is the thing the monsters Gao Mings have forgotten in this tunnel?” Many hypotheses bounced in his mind. Luo Dong’s pupils shook, and waves boiled in his heart. However, he didn’t even dare to breathe too loudly.
Luo Dong slowly moved forward, and he discovered another thing. The sound of breathing became more pronounced, and the sound came from the bus that was caught in a traffic accident!
“Is the real Gao Ming trapped on the bus?” The headlights dimmed. The creaking sound came from the wall close to the taxi. A Gao Ming, with a snapped neck, reached his hand out of the wall. His murky eyes started to gain consciousness. His body fell from the wall with a thump. He supported his neck with his hands. As his bones snapped noisily, he slowly righted his head.
The blood on his clothes seeped into the ground. With his hands on the wall, a smile appeared on his face. “How much longer can you stop me? I’ve become more and more like you. Soon, I’ll become you and consume your memory and flesh.”
Picking up the school bag from the ground, Gao Ming’s presence and expression were slowly being adjusted. Even Luo Dong thought this was the real Gao Ming. The new Gao Ming was about to head out of the tunnel when he suddenly stopped. He saw the taxi with the bright headlights.
“Does this… belong here? Car accident, death… My head…” The face became twisted again. The monster Gao Ming’s memory encountered a problem. He smacked his head repeatedly. Black, thin lines appeared out of his eyes. The black lines were like fate’s curses. Each line carried a heavy curse. The head started to tilt again. It dangled before the monster’s chest. Gao Ming screamed. The head saw Luo Dong, who was hiding in the dark.
“There… There are other people here!”
Luo Dong almost lost his mind, being stared at by so many dead people. He had never experienced something as scary as this.
“This is bad!” Calculating the distance between the bus and the taxi, Luo Dong got up and raced towards the bus!
As he lifted his feet, a hand with whip marks reached out to grab his feet. Luo Dong turned back to look. At the spot where the wall met the floor, there was a tortured Gao Ming. Only half of his face remained. His chopped lips curled up creepily, “Who… are you?”
Luo Dong didn’t know what to think anymore. He ran. His exit was blocked. The bus might be his only way to survive.
Echoing howls travelled down the tunnel. The corpses in the wall all came alive. They struggled to ease out of the wall!
“The tunnel has limited them. The corpses need to satisfy certain conditions before they can leave!” Just as Luo Dong had this thought, a Gao Ming who died from hanging fell from above. His body splattered on the ground, but his fingers were still twitching. Black threads curled around his body, supporting him as he stood up.
Another body fell from the ceiling. Luo Dong’s heart trembled violently. He looked up. Endless dead Gao Mings fell continuously from the ceiling. Blood bloomed on the ground. The smell of decayed pervaded the tunnel. They painted the horror future of Gao Ming.
“This is too much!” Luo Dong experienced the limit of fear for the first time. The souls in his raincoat screamed, urging him to run.
Holding the letter from Gao Ming’s parents, Luo Dong ran as fast as he could, “If the bus can’t help me, then I’ll end up worse than these Gao Mings.” Various thoughts appeared in his mind, but Luo Dong placed his trust in the voice in his heart.
“Run! I must not stop!”
His eyes turned red, and veins popped on his forehead. Luo Dong didn’t realise it, but a few arms appeared to push him forward. They supported him constantly. They were the power of his family.
“I have to reach it!”
Luo Dong shoved the corpse that blocked his way away and climbed onto the bus. The moment he did, Luo Dong closed the bus door and then moved to close the bus windows. In a few seconds, the bus became an enclosed space. Luo Dong was alone inside the bus.
The bus swayed slightly. More dead Gao Mings fell from the walls. They shuffled towards the bus. Their horrible faces stuck to the bus windows!
Their hands slammed against the glass. It almost made Luo Dong lose his mind.
“Calm down! The summon comes from this place. It’s impossible for all the Gao Mings to be fake. The culprit has to have an original copy of the other Gao Mings. The original mould should be here.” Luo Dong gritted his teeth and looked at the driver’s booth. “Am I supposed to drive this bus out of the accident?”
