Anya's Point of View
I woke up with a smile on my face. While dressing up, I recalled the dream I had. It shows Marcus living a happy life with our child and me. I couldn't get out of my mind what happened last night. It was the best night of my life. We made love. Yes, it's not just sex anymore because I know, and I feel Marcus loves me now. A smile crept its way on my lips while my wolf purr. I went out and searched for Marcus, but I could not find him everywhere.
"Marcus!?" I called and knocked into his office but got no response coming from him. Disappointed, I walked back into our room.
"Stop frowning, Anya. Maybe our mate was just taking care of something," my wolf said. I heaved a sigh. I don't know why I'm paranoid like this. It felt surreal that he suddenly change and that he's good to me. I'm afraid he'd go back to his past self. I will never forget that fear; that's why I'm eager for him to mark me.
After being emotional in our room, I went out and walked to the kitchen. I was still wearing Marcus's clothes, and his smell was still on. I inhaled his scent, and I felt relaxed.
"Good morning, Luna," the helper greeted me while smiling.
"Good morning. Have you seen Marcus?" I politely asked her and smiled back.
"I don't know where Alpha is, Luna," she said and bowed.
"Thank you," I said softly. I walked to the sink and took a glass when she spoke once again.
"Would you like me to prepare your food, Luna?" she asked. I shook my head. As much I want to be pampered, I'd like to do things my own. It's the way I grew up. Not long ago, I was also a helper in the packhouse of my previous pack.
"Thank you very much, but you don't need to. I'll make my own food," I told her. She bowed down and left the kitchen.
I took the bread that was on the plastic bag while looking for something to fill it when I saw the Nutella container in a cabinet. I approached it and tried to reach it.
"Why can't I reach you?" I said and frown. Sometimes, I hate being small.
"Just get a chair, will you?" my wolf said.
"No! I can reach this," I stubbornly said. I tried to reach the Nutella again, but someone took the container.
Marcus," I whispered and smiled.
Marcus Point of View
I let out a sigh when I entered the packhouse. When we found Tiffany in the forest, I could not immediately return to Anya because of a report from one of my sentinels, who was attacked by rogues on the border while on patrol.
I need to take care of that problem, and it took me a long time. Tiffany kept following me. She was almost attacked by the rogues. My suspicion was that they belong to the werewolf that Joseph and I were talking about. There was still no evidence if it belongs to Damien or just random rogues trying to wage war with me.
"Why can't I reach you?" I heard Anya say in the kitchen. I walked over to where she was and found her trying to reach the Nutella bottle with all her might. I smiled and leaned on the wall, looking at what he was wearing. She was still wearing the clothes I wore last night.
I slowly approached her and hugged her from behind. She jumped in surprise and turned her head. When she saw me, she smiled.
"Marcus," she said. "Don't surprise me like that. You're giving me a heart attack," she says. I shrugged my shoulder and picked her up. I put her on the table and looked into her face. The face of my fated mate. I traced her eyes, nose, and cheeks down to her neck with my fingers. She just stared at me with a wide smile. I felt my heart skip a beat. She's beautiful, so damn beautiful. I slowly leaned over and captured her sweet lips.
I slowly kiss her, savoring her taste. She kissed me back and wrapped her arms tightly around my neck. She moaned when I kissed her neck. Damn, Anya really had a different effect on me. I roamed my hands in her body and cupped his breast, her moans got louder, and it's fucking turning me on.
"Alpha!" my beta said through the pack link. I stopped kissing Anya. We were both panting while I wait for my beta to speak again.
"We have a problem, Alpha," he said. What's the problem this time?
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Rouges Alpha, and there's too many of them," he said. I cursed internally. When will they perish!?
