"Gran Jurad! Today is the day you die!"
"You think that you can defeat me, Val Zahar? I am the Hero of Light!"
"Boom!"
There was a large explosion that suddenly appeared before two figures burst out from the smoke. The two of them flew off in different directions from each other, but they soon stopped themselves in midair.
As the smoke around them cleared, the true appearance of these two were revealed.
One was a villainous looking young man with dark hair and black clothes that had a black mask hiding his face, but the part of his face that was revealed looked very handsome. At the same time, there were a pair of pitch black wings flapping on his back that looked like the wings of a death reaper.
The other was a heroic looking handsome young man with blonde hair and blue eyes. This handsome blonde young man had a pair of white angel wings on his back.
The two of them just floated there in the air for a bit before...
"Gran Jurad! Take this!"
"I will never back down, Val Zahar!"
"You can do it, Sir Gran!"
"My Lord Zahar, take down that fake hero!"
These were voices that came from the audience that was watching from below.
It was two beautiful girls who were cheering from below, but the two of them immediately glared at each other after they heard what the other person said.
Without any hesitation, the two of them threw their attacks at each other.
It wasn’t just these two beautiful girls who were fighting each other, but also a bunch of others who were facing off against their counterparts.
It seemed like these people were the companions of the two that were fighting in the air.
With the way that they were dressed, it was clear that they were split between good and evil. At the same time, it seemed like this was a final battle between the sides of good and evil with how they were going all out against each other.
However, that fight didn’t last long as there was an explosion that came from the sky above them.
When that explosion happened, all of them suddenly stopped fighting and looked up to see two different figures that flew away from the explosion.
"Hero of Light!"
"Demon King!"
The two groups suddenly stopped fighting and ran off after the two different figures that came out of the explosion. They chased after them as if they wanted to catch them, but they couldn’t get to them in the end.
The two figures slammed down into the ground and created two large holes where they landed.
Both groups immediately went over to where these two holes were and quickly took a defensive formation around the holes. They looked at each other as if they wouldn’t let the other side do a single thing to the ones in the hole.
There was a tense silence that hung in the air until two hands suddenly came out of the hole and grabbed the side. After grabbing the side, there were two figures that suddenly came out of the hole.
When they saw these two figures, half of them went over to help while the other half maintained the formation.
"Hero of Light, let me heal you."
"Demon King, please take my blood essence!"
As they tried to heal the two of them, the two of them rejected this and raised their hand to stop them. After stopping them, the two of them came forward and looked at each other.
Sensing the tension that filled their gazes, everyone immediately took their position as if they were prepared to fight.
However, there was no fight that erupted.
Both of the figures raised their hands and suddenly said...
"Retreat!"
Everyone was surprised to hear this order and there was a moment of hesitation that came from them as they wanted to do more, but they eventually accepted and heeded this order.
There was one last look that was cast at the other group before they all left the scene of the battle.
After leaving, they naturally questioned the two of them on why they had just left like that.
"If we pushed it any further, he would have used his destruction power to take us all out with him. If I was at full power, then I might be able to negate that destruction power, but I’m in no condition to do that right now. If that destruction power was released, then it would have been a disaster for the capital."
"Hero of Light..." His companions said in a touched voice.
"If we continued, there was no doubt that he would have done something dangerous. You never know with those cockroach heroes, they always have some kind of secret final move. I couldn’t risk it with you all there."
"Demon King..." His companions said in a touched voice.
What none of them knew...
...
"You idiot! Why did you have to go so hard for a simple act?"
"You’re the idiot! I gave you several openings to take and you just ignored all of them for the most direct option! I had no choice but to do that or else they would have been suspicious!"
What no one would have expected was that it was the Hero of Light and Demon King that were arguing at this moment.
The fact that they were in the same room would have already been shocking enough, but now they were actually blaming each other for what had happened.
Based on the things that they were shouting at each other, it seemed that they had plotted that fight that just happened a day earlier.
"Alright, alright, that’s enough of that."
A third voice rang out and it was a young man who was sitting there in a chair with a relaxed look on his face. It was as if he was disturbed at all by the fact that the Hero of Light and the Demon King were right in front of him.
"It’s this idiot’s fault for going too far!" Both the Hero of Light and the Demon King gave one last complaint.
"What’s the point in arguing with yourself? We’re all the same person after all."
The Hero of Light and Demon King gave each other one last glare before turning their heads away from each other as if they couldn’t look at each other.
The young man sitting in the chair gave a sigh and shook his head before saying, "Now that we’ve initiated this event, what’s the next one that we should do?"
