Rose's heart raced as she stumbled through the dimly lit alleyway, her breath coming in ragged gasps. It had been hours since she managed to escape the clutches of her sadistic uncle, Matteo, who had kept her hidden away, intent on ending her life again.
But her freedom was short-lived, as fate dealt her another cruel blow.
As she rounded a corner, Rose collided with a tall, menacing figure dressed in dark attire. Before she could react, strong hands grabbed her wrists, imprisoning her in an iron grip. Panic surged through her veins as she found herself face to face with another huge figure with maliciously darj eyes and a smirk; he looked like a drug Lord and not just anyone, one who was notorious on a tier one level for notorious involvement in the despicable underground world of human trafficking.
"Gotcha, you little runaway!" the man sneered, his voice dripping with malevolence. "You're worth quite a fortune, my dear. There are plenty of sick individuals who would pay handsomely for someone like you."
Rose struggled against her captor's grip, her eyes filled with defiance and desperation. She knew all too well the horrors that awaited her if she fell into the clutches of those who would exploit her as a sex slave. In her heart, she vowed to fight until her very last breath, refusing to become a victim.
