Maryam reached Mikaeel's office and barged into his room without his permission. Mikaeel was already disturbed by her last night's confession and now he doesn't want to hear anymore.
" You have to take permission before entering here!!" Mikaeel said rudely.
Maryam asked angrily," Why didn't you call me to the board meeting? I am your business partner, not my PA Aziz!"
" From this onwards, I will discuss every business matter with Aziz. I can't let you have the misconception again that I love you and want to be with you. I have had enough, Maryam," Mikaeel answered and the wounds in Maryam's chest were opened again.
Maryam was trying hard to control her tears when Mikaeel ordered sounding irritated," I don't even want to see your face, Maryam. It would be better if you leave me alone."
" I never imagined that one day you will insult me like that," Maryam said and a tear rolled down her eyes.
Walking towards the window Mikaeel looked outside and replied softening his voice," Maryam, I think you need psychiatric help because you are disturbed about everything in your life. I indeed don't have feelings for you. That doesn't mean I will want anything bad for you. Listen to my suggestion, consult the psychiatrist I introduced to you earlier."
Saying that Mikaeel turned behind and Maryam wasn't there anymore. Letting out a sigh he sat on the chair and started thinking about Aurin.
Hours passed and Mikaeel was engrossed in work when he got a call from Simon. Since he was busy, he cut the call and put his phone in a silent mood. But, he couldn't ignore it anymore when he started getting continuous calls from Walid.
" Even my wife doesn't call me like that," Mikaeel shouted at Walid receiving the call.
Walid answered rolling his eyes," Even I am not that desperate to talk to you. I just wanted to talk to you about an important matter."
" What? Your dick grew one inch more!" Mikaeel mocked smirking.
Walid replied," Gross!! Listen to me, you cunt. Our school classmates are arranging a reunion party for our batch. They are inviting the whole 31st batch. Bashir lost some of your data so he told me to invite you. That's why I was calling you."
" I think I won't be able to attend," Mikaeel refused in one go.
Walid asked getting irritated," Don't behave like the girls. Till now I have contacted 8 of our female classmates and everyone refused to attend because their families won't permit it."
" I am not in the mood, Walid. I fought with my wife and my days are going like hell," Mikaeel answered sounding frustrated.
Walid suggested," Then, attend the party and I bait that your ruined mood will be fine. Come on, it will be fun. This type of get together doesn't come often. Don't miss the opportunity to live those previous days."
Thinking for some time Mikaeel replied," I will think about it. By the way, when is the party?"
" Tomorrow," Walid informed and Mikaeel just cut the call.
The next day
Reaching the venue Mikaeel was disturbed more because of Maryam. She also attended the party and till now they had shared uncountable awkward eye contact.
Mikaeel didn't want to attend the party but he was so disturbed about everything that he needed refreshments or the company of his friends. That's why he attended the party. He thought Maryam won't join since she is also disturbed but to his utter surprise, she attended the party and doesn't looking depressed at all. Instead, she was looking confident, happy and she was talking to everyone with a smiley face.
He was surprised to see her in a very bold outfit. She was wearing a sleeveless gown that has a slit on the right leg reaching the thigh almost. The make-up was heavy as well and she was looking unrecognisable. Mikaeel has never seen Maryam wearing such type of outfit and that's why he is astonished. Truth to be told he didn't like her outfit at all.
" Maryam is looking sizzling," Walid commented looking at Maryam.
Simon commented scanning Maryam from head to toe," Among all the behen ji's (aunts/ referring to other girls in an insulting manner) how we got such a hot piece?"
Bursting into laughter Walid said to Mikaeel sarcastically," I think Miki is now regretting that even after being Maryam's business partner he didn't............"
Simon coughed loudly while Walid continued laughing. Both of them were passing ridiculous comments about Maryam which Mikaeel didn't like at all.
" Have some shame, cunts!! You guys are married," Mikaeel reminded getting irritated by their ridiculous jokes.
Simon answered slapping Mikaeel's shoulder," Someone is trying to be a saint here."
" I shouldn't have come here," Mikaeel whispered and left his friends.
Sitting on a stool Mikaeel looked at Maryam and found her dancing with one of their classmates. The guy was rubbing his body with her body and she was letting him do all this like she was enjoying his touches.
Another guy came from behind and held Maryam's waist. Instead of scolding him, she started dancing with both of them. Mikaeel diverted his gaze in another direction hurriedly because it was awkward for him. He isn't jealous but he didn't like her attitude. She wasn't like that and never behaved so cheap.
Taking out his phone, Mikaeel looked at the screen hoping for a single text from Aurin. But, there was nothing. He wrote a message out of desperation to know about her but didn't send it. He wonders how can she stay without seeing him.
Looking him tensed a waiter offered him a drink which he chugged down in one go. He ordered the waiter to bring the whole bottle and the waiter obliged him. Mikaeel thought it was wine only but the taste was a little bit different. He doesn't know his friends have arranged alcohol besides wine. Just after a few sips, Mikaeel was completely drunk and he doesn't where is he and what is he doing.
" Ladies & Gentleman, do you know that marriage is a pain in your ass?" Mikaeel asked loudly with his drunk voice and everyone diverted their concentration on him.
Letting out a chuckle Mikaeel complained," Since the day I got married, I forgot what's peace. Arguments after arguments, accusations after accusations have made my life a hell."
" Miki, control yourself," Simon whispered in Mikaeel's ear seeing everyone laughing at him.
Pointing his finger at one of his female classmates he shouted," And, you!! You woman species are never satisfied. Love isn't enough for you guys!!
" I told my wife to listen to me but she didn't. She thinks she knows better than me and you know what guys she is going to receive an award for her argument skill! Sometimes I can't tolerate her at all but sometimes I can't even live without her because I love my wifey," Mikaeel shouted laughing and his friends understood that he is now out of control.
Dragging Mikaeel outside Simon & Walid was ready to get inside the car when Maryam came forward.
" Where are you taking him?" She asked and both of them shared an awkward look.
Simon replied," We are taking him home."
" You guys don't have to bother. Let me take him to his house," She said and both of them looked at her with suspicious eyes.
Seeing their facial expressions, she assured them," Don't worry. I am not taking him to murder or do something nasty. I am his business partner. You can trust me. Moreover, his wife knows me properly."
Hearing her, Mikaeel's friends didn't bother anymore and let her take Mikaeel. Settling Mikaeel in the car Maryam sat beside him and ordered the driver to start the car.
The next day morning Mikaeel woke up with a severe headache. Feeling something soft under him he is sure that he is laying on a bed. Opening his eyes he tried to adjust his eyes with the sudden light but he doesn't why he was feeling cold.
Rubbing his eyes and forehead he looked at himself and indeed he was on a bed. But, the thing is he is completely naked. Just a towel was covering his lower region.
" What the fuck!!" Mikaeel shouted and his eyes shot open with shock.
Covering his lower region with the towel properly he looked at his surroundings and discovered himself in an unknown luxurious room. Very soon Mikaeel realized that it is a 5 star hotel and he started wondering how he reached here.
Mikaeel was trying hard to remember when he heard a click sound. He looked at the washroom and found a lady coming out. It seemed like she had just taken a shower. His eyes widened in anxiety seeing the lady.
" You are up?" She asked drying her hair with a towel.
Mikaeel asked angrily," What I am doing here?"
