The God Spawn is coming! The disciples of the Golden Sword Sect turned pale when they sensed a suffocating aura, reminding them of the monster that had forced them to flee from the enemy. The black-masked attackers also briefly trembled at the aura of the God Spawn but soon recovered. Their figures blurred as they moved to encircle the disciples, cutting off all escape routes.
"Senior Brother, please go! We will hold them back!"
The words cut through the tension like steel. The junior disciples had already steeled their resolve; there was no room for hesitation.
The Senior Brother gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with anger toward the traitors who had led them into this desperate situation. Yet, he could not let their sacrifice be in vain.
"I will complete the mission!" His voice was resolute, his Qi surging with determination.
Without another word, he dashed west, his figure transforming into a golden streak as he pushed his speed to the limit.
A black-masked attacker lunged to intercept him, their sword glowing with strange Qi—a Qi with an oppressive aura—and aimed for his back.
Before the attack could land, a junior disciple stepped in and deflected the sword with a powerful counterstrike. Sparks flew as their Qi clashed, and the air trembled from the impact.
"You will not touch him!" the disciple roared, pushing forward.
The battlefield erupted into chaos. Golden Sword Sect disciples clashed with the black-masked attackers, their blades flashing like meteors as their Qi techniques collided in bursts of power.
One disciple used his Qi technique: the 12 Golden Sword Qi condensed in mid-air and shot at the group of black-masked attackers. The attackers, who seemed well-informed in the techniques of the Golden Sword Sect, coordinated their defense by causing an earth wall to rise from the ground to intercept the 12 Golden Sword Qi.
Amid the chaos, one disciple cried out as a black sword tore through his shoulder, blood splattering onto the cracked earth. Another barely dodged a piercing thrust, countering with a desperate sword strike that sent his enemy stumbling.
Even though every disciple of the Overlord was much stronger than the enemy, they were vastly outnumbered. Moreover, the urgent threat of the God Spawn approaching filled their minds with anxiety and rendered their movements ineffective—they knew they would not survive for long.
And then—the roar of the God Spawn shook the whole area.
The disciples turned toward the sound and saw five God Spawn crawling toward them with numerous twisted limbs. They knew immediately that their lives were about to end.
They looked at each other and nodded in silent understanding. Then, they took out a talisman and activated it. An aura of Dao enveloped their entire bodies, similar to Hengsheng’s Dao Heart aura, though it was incomplete—merely an imitation.
The black-masked attackers quickly moved out of the way of the God Spawn. Even though they were on the same side, the nature of the God Spawn was unpredictable—they might attack if it came too close.
One of the God Spawn leaped into the sky, intent on using its massive body to crush the nine humans into dead meat. In response, nine disciples combined their technique: their swords rose into the air and shot toward the God Spawn, not to strike it directly but to form a seal around its body—a cage of the golden sword.
Another God Spawn, with a body longer and leaner than the others, moved at high speed and shot up from the ground like a javelin, about to pierce the body of one disciple. However, the disciples, honed by rigorous training, countered its attack; one managed to cut its lean body, causing it to lose momentum and collapse to the ground. Its regeneration was much slower than usual because its wound was now contained by the aura enveloping the disciples.
Soon, other God Spawn reached the group and began attacking from all sides. The God Spawn's defense was weak—just one attack from the golden sword shattered its body into many pieces. Meanwhile, the black-masked group split into two: one group continued to harass the enemy with ranged attacks, while the other chased after their senior brother.
The situation looked grim. It might have seemed that the God Spawn could do nothing to harm them, but once the Dao aura enveloped the disciples and the talisman effect ended, they would face a powerful counterattack from the creature.
Eventually, the talisman effect faded. One disciple slashed through a God Spawn, causing the aura that had been halting its regeneration to vanish; it regenerated instantly before leaping onto an unsuspecting disciple. As the God Spawn passed through that disciple, others immediately shouted, "Brother Du!!" But there was no response, one of the disciples quickly dashed to check on him but when he saw "Brother Du" face his expression became horror—half of his face was gone, bit by the God Spawn.
All disciples retreated far away from the now regenerated group of the God spawn immediately. Tears welled in their eyes as they activated another talisman, hoping to continue the fight against the God Spawn.
The Golden Sword Seal was broken at an unexpected time! The disciples watched in horror as the God Spawn who just be free, hovered in the air, was about to crash down on them. They turned pale, realizing they were not ready to counter that—DEATH was the only thought that crossed their minds.
But things never be as they expect neither good nor bad way.
Then, as the God Spawn's body fell, ready to crush them, a massive surge of seven color Fist Qi burst from nowhere, striking the monster's body.
Its body exploded into countless pieces that rained down to the ground. The fragments tried to crawl together, but their movement was weak—almost powerless—It was not over another Qi Cannon rained down upon them.
All the fragments completely stopped moving and dissolved into the air. The other four God Spawn roared as a new enemy appeared and quickly dashed toward that person, moving mindlessly. On the other side of the battlefield, a young man wearing a black-gold robe stepped onto the scene.

These fragments were dangerous to anyone without protection—they could pierce human skin and consume them from within—but they posed no threat to the black-gold-robed cultivator, as his aura burned the fragments alive upon contact. In his battle, it became a matter of how many attacks he needed to deliver before the God Spawn would be completely destroyed.
Meanwhile, the eight disciples wielding swords fought with speed and precision. Their golden qi was dense and sharp, incomparable to that of any other cultivator on the continent. Their Sword Qi sliced through the black-masked attackers one by one. However, when the black-masked group began to lose ground in the battle, some of them started to flee in different directions, leaving their comrades behind.
Unknown to them, before they could escape further, a mysterious claw struck, separating body and head from one of their number.
After ten minutes of fierce attack, all of the God Spawn were completely destroyed, turning into dust. The young man in the black-gold robe then turned his attention to the other side of the battlefield, where eight disciples were now fighting the last four black-masked attackers who had been left to die by their comrades.
Soon, all of the black-masked attackers dropped dead, leaving the area with only nine survivors and one spirit beast lurking in the shadows.
The disciples of the Golden Sword Sect turned their gazes toward the mystery cultivator in the black-gold robe. If they looked carefully, they would notice the golden ring inside his pupils and the gray cat perched on his head, appearing as if out of nowhere.
