Adam gripped the hilt of Priscilla, the Magic Sword emerging fully from the shadowy portal beneath him like a phoenix being reborn into frozen hell to cleanse the filth.
The blade itself was a mesmerizing paradox, a core of roaring, eternal flame encased in an unyielding sheath of crystalline ice that shimmered with an otherworldly blue hue.
The air around it warped subtly, heat and cold coexisting in a delicate, impossible harmony that defied all meaning physics.
To Adam, it weighed nothing more than a feather, its supernatural essence syncing perfectly with his worthy hands. But to the cryo-kinetic slugs encroaching upon him, it was a harbinger of annihilation.
The nearest slug, a massive beast the length of a bus, lunged first. Its segmented body undulated through the snow, propelled by rippling waves of cryokinetic energy it body naturally produces, that froze the ground in its wake.

The temperature plummeted further, the blizzard intensifying as the creature drew upon the planet’s eternal cold to empower its assault.
His eyes, sharpened by the quantum mites as if one of his seal where broken. But the buff of his unsealed senses, tracked every projectile with effortless precision.
He twisted his body in a fluid sidestep, Priscilla singing through the air in a casual arc. The sword’s edge, colder than absolute zero at its tip, sliced through the first icicle without resistance, absorbing its frigid essence instantly within itself.
"You gotta try better than that if you want to hurt me you know."
Adam calmly but mockingly said.
Then another series of ice spears came his way, each of them hundreds of time faster than sound, and stronger than a dozen layered of reinforce diamonds.
How the projectile didn’t shatter, it simply ceased to exist, its thermal energy devoured and funneled into the blade’s core passively.
As he made quick, and light slices.
Adam’s swordsmanship was that of enlightened swordman, hell he had long surpass Nyx in this feild, as the sword style he uses was a combination of every sword technique he copied, and learn, he called it

It was swordsmanship consisting of thousand plus disciplines.
As such each strike, each move, each decision in battle was never a wasted motion, every swing a calculated strike for an attack our defense.
As the slug closed in, its maw splitting open to reveal a vortex of swirling frost like teeth, Adam exploded forward.
His feet barely skimmed the ice, propelled by a burst of raw physical prowess that cracked the frozen terrain beneath him.
He spun Priscilla in a reverse grip, the blade trailing a comet’s tail of frozen fire...flames that burned without heat, ice that seared without cold.
With a flick of his wrist that arch the blade for an attack, he drove the sword upward in a rising slash, the motion so blindingly fast it blurred into an afterimage.
The tip pierced the slug’s underbelly, fusing heat and cold into its flesh. The creature convulsed as Priscilla’s power invaded it’s body, burning and freezing it’s body at the same time.
Still Adam sense magic from this thing.
"They seem so unintelligent, yet by some miracle these things have an inborn spirit contracted to them howwww?!"
He asked as the one he cut into drop dead, and another appeared after it’s fall.
These spirits are abstract core, that is fuse to them.
"Hmmm artificially made, but produced via some weird method of reproduction, well these things are apart of a HIVE mind, so if I want find answers, I would need to find the heart of the HIVE first and foremost, but where exactly, they don’t exactly have brains from what I am seeing, so using Brain Eater to extract information won’t be any useful here."
Adam asked and said, but his answers won’t come so easily.
Either way, he knew where to strike now to insta kill them, without relying on the Blood of Allash to induce absolute death upon them.
Still alot of them randomly died too, or rather their bodies could no longer function without the energy that the artificial spirit provided them.
It was an alien way to say without the spirits energy within them, they became the human definition of a vegetable.
But without the finite energy too, the spirits die, and so too would the slugs right after.
Knowing this Priscilla wasted no time to drank it in, killing the spirit outright and unraveling the magical phenomenon that sustained the beast’s life.
Its body froze solid from the inside out, then ignited in a burst of Planck-hot flames that reduced it to vapor in seconds.
The explosion sent shockwaves through the snow, but Adam was already moving, his grin feral and unyielding.
But the death cry of the near drained slug had already echoed through vast surrounding.
It was a distress signal that summoned reinforcements. From the shadowy crevices of the ice fields, twenty more emerged, smaller but no less vicious, their bodies pulsing with amplified cryokinetic fury.
They swarmed in a coordinated assault, encircling Adam like a living noose. Some burrowed beneath the snow, erupting in geysers of frozen spikes; others hovered mid-air, propelled by jets of supercooled gas, launching barrages of cryogenic orbs that exploded on impact into entangling webs of ice.
Adam laughed, a deep, resonant sound that cut through the howling wind.
"Come on, then. Feed her more."
He pivoted on his heel, Priscilla whirling in a defensive helix. His swordsmanship shone here, insane, almost artistic in its precision.
He parried a tendril strike with the flat of the blade, absorbing the cold to empower a counter-thrust that pierced straight through one slug’s eye cluster.
The sword’s fusion ability activated on instinct, blending absorbed heat into the wound; the creature’s innards boiled while its exterior flash-froze, tearing it apart from conflicting forces.
Two slugs charged from opposite sides, their spines extending like lances. Adam leaped skyward, twisting into a somersault that defied the planet’s gravity.
Mid-air, he extended Priscilla in a sweeping horizontal slash, the blade elongating momentarily with infused energy, a ribbon of frozen fire that bisected both attackers at once.
Their halves fell, spirits slain, bodies disintegrating into ash and mist. Landing in a crouch, he rolled forward to evade a subterranean ambush, thrusting downward into the ice.
Priscilla’s tip burrowed deep, releasing a concentrated pillar of dense flame contained within its shell, as it shoot like a laster down below.
The ground erupted in a controlled explosion, so hot they turn to ashes in less than a micro-second as result of the insane heat.
The swarm pressed harder, their collective cryokinesis dropping the temperature to levels that would atomize lesser beings.
Frost coated Adam’s uniform, but he fed it to Priscilla, the sword growing brighter, hungrier, and much stronger by the second.
As went on the offensive once more, and began to danced through the horde, his movements a blur of masterful feints and strikes. A downward cleave split a slug lengthwise, absorbing its elemental essence to fuel a spinning backhand that decapitated another.
He weaved Priscilla forward like a pen, in detailed patters, as he began to use a method of spell casting never seen before.

After the rune was written or rather, the circles spell.
It created barriers of alternating heat and cold, repelling attacks while countering with pinpoint stabs of frozen fire laces that shot forward at the speed of light that targeted slugs spirit cores at the same time.
The lances bounce off the heated air, as green portal open at their tips, target seven Slugs at the same time.
Killing each of them in a single shot, and at the same time nonetheless.
One particularly large slug reared up, unleashing a blizzard vortex; Adam charged straight into it, Priscilla held forward like a lance.
The sword devoured the storm’s cold, converting it to heat that he unleashed in a point-blank blast, vaporizing the creature from the inside instantly.
By another ten kills, the slugs adapted, merging their forms into hybrid abominations, tendrils linking to form a colossal, multi-headed beast.
"Wowwww, now that is what I am talking about, still yall just made yourselves into much easier target."
"Bigger ain’t always better you know."
Adam said out aloud, his blood pumping a little. As the giant slug was the size of skyscraper, and just as wide as two of them put together.
It lashed out with a forest of spines, the air solidifying into a cage of ice around Adam.
It plan to trapped him.
But the power difference was so massively imbalance that it could have hardly even be considered a plan to the likes of Adam.
Still Adam responded back in kind.
"If your pulling off your ultimate, might as well responded with a special of my own as well then."
He said as he raised Priscilla high, channeling the insane heat it has within it, to supercharge the blade, and the moment he did that, great power radiated from it in massive current that shook the earth below, and without breaking the shell exterior nonetheless.
With a roar, he brought it down in a vertical smash, the impact creating a shockwave that shattered the cage and cleaved through the merged entity’s core.
Multiple spirits screamed as they died, magical bonds unraveling under the sword’s anti-spiritual might.
The remaining slugs faltered, but Adam pressed on, his swordsmanship reaching well beyonds the peaks of humanity capabilities.
He blurred into afterimages, striking from impossible angles, a thrust from below that impaled one mid-slither, a whirling dervish spin that harvested five in a single rotation, each kill feeding Priscilla’s insatiable hunger.
Heat and cold fused in explosive displays, bodies frozen then incinerated, spirits eradicated beyond what was repairable.
Finally, as the last of the twenty writhed in agony, Adam stood amidst the carnage, Priscilla humming with absorbed power once more.
As he raised the sword over his head again, this time so high in the air as he look down at the last wave below, the blade beginning to absorb the cold temperature around them.
The blizzard within an eight-hundred-meter radius halted abruptly, the winds stilling as if time itself froze.
Snowflakes hung suspended, the eternal storm robbed of its fury. Then, with a mental command, Adam converted the stolen cold to blistering heat.
He swung downward in a mighty slash, unleashing a flaming sash of energy so potent it scorched the air itself.
The blast struck the ground, erupting into a giant pillar of scorching fire that bored through the clouds above, piercing the atmosphere like a divine spear.
From outer space, it would appear as a brilliant lance of flame lancing from the planet’s dark side, a beacon of raw power visible across the void.
