Harry Potter: The Planewalker Chapter 63

After conversing with his summoned snake, Christian focused on extending the interior dimensions of his bag of holding. By now, the thing was the size of a football stadium. Additionally, he added a few more enchantments, one of which was the Shrinking Charm, so the bag could shrink large objects when putting them inside, just like his mother's bag. However, he had to be extra careful in the process since the usage of the Shrinking Charm on people was extremely dangerous. "The more I understand the spell, the more I feel I could one day use it as a basis to create a separate pocket dimension," muttered Christian. As interesting as it was to extend the interior dimension of an object, he was more interested in creating a separate but complete dimension that belonged to him. Christian believes with all his heart that this is possible, as he knows a few instances of advanced spatial magic. The first instance was in the Fantastic Beasts movie, where Dumbledore fought Credence. He was not too sure what had happened, but he was certain of two possibilities: Dumbledore either sent Credence into a mirror dimension, or he created a pocket dimension. Secondly, after Dumbledore and Grindelwald's blood pact was removed, the thing sent them into a pocket dimension where they fought briefly, but no time had passed outside, and no one saw anything. Once he finished, he focused on the next task — mastering the nonverbal Revelio Charm. Christian felt he would succeed in a few more weeks before shifting to another spell, and he had already chosen Accio. Although it would be wise to select a more offensive spell, those were harder to master. So, he chose the Summoning Spell, given how useful it was. Christian decided to end his training session early today (10:30 PM). As he headed to the common room, he suddenly heard a voice. "A moment, Christian." "Professor Dumbledore?" asked Christian as he removed the Disillusionment Charm. "Come, have a little walk with me." Walking toward the Gryffindor's common room, Dumbledore said, "Thank you for the Christmas gift; I enjoy them very much." "I figured you were like me and mostly received books, so I thought of trying something different." "And I appreciate that," nodded Dumbledore, maybe smiling, but it was hard to tell with the barely lit hallways. "I apologize about Snape's behavior. As you said, it's unacceptable, and I have spoken to him." "So, can I expect better behavior from him?" Christian sneered; he would only believe after seeing this. "Alright. By the way, a little birdy told me you were a master of elemental magic. Is it true?" "Your bird is correct," replied Dumbledore with a chuckle. "Something tells me you have enough on your plate this year." "That's true. But don't forget your promise when I ask you next school year." "I won't," said Dumbledore with a smile. "We're here. Be careful not to get caught by Filch." Dumbledore calmly watched him enter the portrait hole. 'So, it's true. His soul is so powerful that it can influence his surroundings when his emotions are agitated,' thought Dumbledore with a frown. 'No matter how gifted he is, his soul should not be this powerful. What happened to this child?' He returned to his office, then slowly took out a gold monocle. He held it in his hand, deep in thought. From a young age, he realized that power was his fatal flaw. That's why he refused the Supreme Mugwump position in 1932, never ran for the Minister of Magic position, or even allowed McGonagall to run most of the school. But now, he found himself tempted by the purest form of power: magic. As long as he uses this artifact, Dumbledore knows he will gain his ability to see and wield ancient magic, but he does not know whether he wishes to or whether this newfound power will change him. His core belief has always been that people's nature is not easy to change but can be controlled. Has he changed since his youth? He would love to believe so, but the fact that he eventually accepted the Supreme Mugwump position was proof that he did not. Although he rarely used his power, that did not change the fact that he accepted a position of power. Dumbledore sighed before putting the monocle away. As Christian headed home, all he could think about was whether the headmaster agreed to his request because of his kindness or what had happened with Snape. Ultimately, it did not matter. The following day, he woke up Neville for the daily meditation. "For you, we will start with Love-Kindness Meditation," explained Christian. "Lie down, breathe deeply, and repeat the mantra — I am brave, a true Gryffindor, and worth 100 Malfoys." Christian ignored the odd look Hermione was giving him and continued, "Every time you're distracted, re-focus and continue chanting it. Whenever you have a thought that tells you you're not those things, banish them while encouraging the ones that support." "Ok," nodded Neville, and Christian supervised his meditation for the entire ten minutes. He even peeped into Neville's mind to help. Christian cast the Imperturbable Charm that created an invisible wall around Hermione that isolated sounds; he did not want his words to interrupt her. Although she could now meditate for 10 minutes with no problem, she had not yet reached the level of ignoring all outside interferences. "You did a good job, Neville." "I did? But I fell asleep a few times." "That's normal when you start. Wait a few weeks, and it won't happen again. I'll see you tomorrow." Christian finally meditated alone before starting the day. He had detention with Snape early in the morning and did not want to be late. During the entire session, his face remained stone cold. He did whatever Snape asked, even when asked to deal with the most terrible or disgusting materials like slug slime or even worse. He did not utter a word and did his work. As previously prepared, Snape left the room due to a distraction, and Christian quickly copied the Half Blood Prince's Advanced Potion Book, including the spells he had created. These spells would now be part of Christian's arsenal, so he needed to practice them to know the proper pronunciation to cast. After the detention, Christian had a blast at Duel Club in the afternoon. First, he participated in his group and openly challenged all the Slytherins. A few accepted his challenge and were defeated, but he mocked the rest for their cowardice. Then, he attended the fourth to seventh-year session, once again challenging the Slytherin students. After defeating more than four seventh-year students, no one wanted to duel with him, so he mocked them for the rest of the sessions. After venting his anger on these people, Christian felt a great deal better. On Sunday, things became better for him as Flitwick called him to his office because his student finally found the Identifying Charm. After learning and testing it, Christian had a grin on his face as he knew this was the spell he wanted. So, he rushed to find a quiet room to practice and eventually bewitched the Duel Disk and furthered the prototype. His destination was not the Room of Requirement, but the Undercroft, a place he knew existed from the games. Hermione wanted a place to practice magic, and Christian still did not want to reveal the Room of Requirement, so he suggested that place. Despite the danger of revealing the disk, Christian chose this place because it was easier for people to follow him to the Room of Requirement during daylight.
