Harry Potter: The Planewalker Chapter 61

"We discovered who Nicolas Flamel is," said Ron as soon as they returned to the common room. "How?" asked Christian, wondering what had taken them so long. "We heard a student talk about Dumbledore's chocolate frog cart, and I remember him being mentioned with Nicolas Flamel, so we went to the library to check." "Is this the power of fate?" muttered Christian. He knew Neville being stuck with that curse should not have happened this early, and as such, even the trio's discovery of Nicolas Flamel's ability came much earlier. "Nothing. I guess you know now what the dog is guarding?" "The Philosopher's Stone." "Now you can stop bothering me," said Christian, staring at Ron. "None of this would have happened if you told us the truth." "If Snape is after the stone, we must stop him." "I wish he were after it." "How can you say that? Don't you care if Volde–" "Don't say his name," Ron snapped. "I mean You-Know Who," corrected Harry. "If he gets it," "Do you think anyone can just get something Dumbledore is protecting?" sneered Christian. "I wish it's Snape so he gets caught and fired." "I think we should not take the risks and stop him," said Harry, and they discussed how to do so. Christian did not say much as he knew how things would turn out. After their conversation, Ron wanted to play chess, and Harry played with him. Meanwhile, Christian remembered he wanted something from the library and left, but to his surprise, Hermione followed him. "Do you need something?" "You used wandless magic against Malfoy." "That's a skill that few wizards can do," she said. "It's not as impressive as you think." "How can you say that?" "Wizards have not mastered wandless magic because of over-reliance on their wand," explained Christian. "In places like Africa, where the wand is less common, wandless magic is taught at school." "Yes, and if you want, I can lend you a few books on the subject. You can use it as long as you persist in training." "Then, I'll thank you in advance." Christian wanted to summon a few books from the pile his mother had bought him from Africa over the break, but he remembered he couldn't show his bag of holding or that they were in Swahili. "By any chance, you don't speak Swahili?" "In that case, you must wait until I translate the books." Christian found the Healing Magic Section in the library and was shocked by the sheer number of books. "I did not expect healing magic to contain so much knowledge," he muttered before finding a book labeled [The Fundamentals of Healing Magic]. After what happened to his mother, he wanted to have some first-aid knowledge in case of an emergency. However, after seeing all the books, he realized how complex healing magic was. His schedule was already full, so he did not think it wise to add learning healing magic. 'Let's just do the basics and learn everything else next year. I can also consider doing an internship at St Mungo one day if that's possible.' After taking another book, he left. His next plan was to write to his favorite teacher — the Dark Lord. After his comic, he noticed a slight shift in his communication with Quirrell, most likely because of the topic in his comic. So, he decided to fix the problem. He planned to blame someone else for how he had portrayed the pureblood families. He cannot blame his mother, as that would put a target on his family, so after thinking about it for a while, he found the perfect target— Gildroy Lockart. In the letter, he wrote how Lockhart suggested using controversy to garner more views for his comic, even suggested writing about the pureblood families, as they held the most power. Finally, he sent Quirrell a necklace that stored life energy to show that he had put the things he learned from him into practice. "That should do it. The real problem is to save that unicorn without raising an eyebrow," muttered Christian as Sango flew into the distance. While waiting, Christian used his daily exercise of trying to find his soul through Occlumency. He had never stopped trying since he had this idea, so every time he had a moment to himself, like eating, he would enter the depths of his mind, trying to find the layer where his soul was. His motivation had reached its peak after learning that his mother, who was less talented than he was at Legilimency, was making rapid progress. It appeared that having a young soul had its problems. Less than thirty minutes later, Sango returned with a response, and Christian smiled. 'I know you, Dark Lord,' he thought. 'Even though you're still suspicious, your unwavering belief in yourself will not change. So, as long as you believe you can turn me into your servant, you won't give up on such a talent like mine. Of course, that is until my talent threatens your power.' The next day, Christian returned to his routine: classes, club, library, and Room of Requirement training (Parseltongue, nonverbal training, regular training, and elemental healing magic). The only difference was that his popularity increased as more students read the comic. Some people will ask him about the story, including spoilers, or request his autograph. Everything went well until Friday's potion class. Christian had veins on his forehead as he saw how Snape treated Neville; it was apparent he was retaliating for what he did to Draco. Christian exhaled before saying, "He needs help, not you being harsher on him." Snape turned around, his face as pale as a vampire who had not seen daylight for centuries, "Do you have a problem with how I teach?" Christian controlled himself from saying something sassy. "Like I said, maybe he needs a gentler approach." "Nothing can help an idiot like him." "Or you're not as good a teacher as you think." "Are you doubting my ability?" sneered Snape. "Your ability as a potionist? Never, but your teaching ability? Anyone with eyes can see you've chosen the wrong profession." "30 points from Gryffindor for your unruliness." "Yes, abusing your power is a great way to show I was wrong," sneered Christian. "Another 20 points, and if you don't like how I teach, you're free to leave." "That's not a bad idea," said Christian, who packed his bag. "I'm tired of this shit." He walked out of the class. "If you step out of this class, that's detention," yelped Snape, but Christian ignored him and left. He went to the library to read and calm down. In the afternoon, Professor McGonagall summoned him. "Christian, you cannot behave in class." "He's the problem, not me," said Christian. "So, you don't think you did anything wrong?" asked Professor McGonagall sternly. "Things are why I sometimes despise the magical world," said Christian. "In the Muggle world, if a child is having trouble, their teacher will offer extra attention and help, and if needed, put them in a special class to ensure they reach the level they need to. But what about this place? "Teachers can be bullies, be terrible role models, abuse their power, display obvious favoritism, and become a student's worst nightmare, but they're never held accountable." "You're exaggerating." "Am I? I bet you all the money I have in Gringotts that if you put a Bogard before Neville, it will turn into Snape," sneered Christian. "Do you understand the horrific implication that a child's worst nightmare is their teacher? An authoritative figure that will be guiding him in his most precious formative years? But no, such a thing is normal in this backward place." "No, it's not normal," sighed McGonagall. "I will have the headmaster talk to Severus. Regardless, your reaction was unacceptable, so the detention must stay." "Fine, but I don't want to spend it with Snape." "I'll see what I can do." Christian returned to the library to calm down, and just as he was about to, he received a letter from McGonagall. She told him Dumbledore talked to Snape, but the oily-haired bastard insisted on the detention being with him, and the headmaster relented. Christian wanted to throw a temper tantrum, but did not do so because he was in the library. 'Calm down,' he told himself. 'Just use this opportunity to get the Sectumsempra Spell.'
