Harry Potter: The Planewalker Chapter 54

Since it was vacation, Christian took a break and woke up at eight instead of 6. By the time he had descended for breakfast, it was already 9 AM. He found food on the table along with a note. I left you some food, which you can reheat. I'm heading to the digging site; we will see each other in the afternoon. Love, Mum.] "So, I'm all alone?" said Christian before using a spell he learned from Charm Class about reheating food. Professor Flitwick had an entire session about charms to use for cooking and cleaning. Christian enjoyed himself as he had missed the taste of home cooking. Although the house elves were excellent chefs, nothing could compare to his mother's or aunt's cooking. His next destination was his study room, where he wrote his first book. Last night, he had the brilliant idea of bringing Yu-Gi-Oh or monster fighting to the wizarding world. "The first step is to write a comic introducing the game, creatures, and rules. Then, in the first issue, tell the readers a major announcement once the comic ends, which will be the real game. In the meantime, I need to actually create the game," muttered Christian, thinking about how to proceed. He needed an enchantment that worked similarly to holograms. "I remember Gildroy Lockhard created a spell that shot a hologram of his own face into the sky, imitating the Death Eater's Dark Mark. If I write a letter to him, knowing his desire for attention and my reputation, he might tell me." Without wasting any time, Christian wrote a letter, opened the window to his study, and called Sango. The bird flew to the window, taking the letter in his beak. "You know, Sango, you're such an independent creature that I'm starting to feel like I've neglected you. How about I make it up to you with a Christmas present? Do you want something?" The owl stared at him with its very bright and intelligent eyes. "Alright. The letter is for Gildroy Lockart. A blond, blue-eyed wizard with white teeth. He's famous and loves attention. Can you find him?" Sango did not say anything and flew into the distance. "These owls' tacking ability is not used enough," commented Christian before returning to his desk to write the comics. He wanted to start with the plot before the drawing. 'I don't need to reuse the Yu-Gi-Oh story, but write my own based on it,' thought Christian. 'I can write the plot to discuss certain issues in the wizarding world and influence the young wizards before it's too late and their parents' outdated ideologies indoctrinate them.' Christian immediately began writing the story. The comic will start with a child named Mukasa Amina — whose family migrated from Uganda to the UK three generations ago — discovering he had Egyptian ancestry; to be exact, one of his ancestors was a Pharaoh. After acquiring a relic from his ancestry — the Millennium Puzzle — he is transported to a world of magic and Duel Monsters. Christian suddenly stopped and muttered, "Am I about to introduce Isekai to the magical world?" He shook his head before continuing to write. In this new world that Mukasa found himself in, people with magical abilities can use Duel Monsters through cards to battle. "The world should be simple and straightforward. Ten families had access to Millennium items, began a quest to rule the world, and enslaved all non-magical people. They treat people not of the ten families or pureblood with absolute disdain and even sometimes less than human." Christian's eyes lit up, praising himself for his genius. "A group of people is fighting against these ten families' rules, and their leader is, plot twist, a Muggle. Yes, he will be my Joey Wheeler. Without any powers or abilities, but still one of the best duelists in the world. However, how do I include muggles in the story to make sense?" Christian thought briefly. "I can make it so that Muggles can use Duel Monsters, but they cannot see the monsters. As such, they required special glasses for dueling. Additionally, Duel Monsters are natural creatures with a naturally intimidating ability. The pressure Muggles face when seeing the weakest Duel Monster is ten times that of wizards; in other words, dueling is ten times, if not more, painful and stressful for Muggles. "By that logic, Squibs should also be able to duel. How about I give them the ability to see Duel Monsters, but they also face the same pressure? I can give them the lore that they created the dueling glasses Muggles used, and the main ingredient is their blood. Yes, that could work." The enchanted quill wrote independently as more ideas popped into Christian's mind. "I should add the other sentient creatures like centaurs, Veela, Goblins, and house elves. How about in the final battle, the Makusa traveled to the Monster Realm — the place where these creatures hid themselves because of the treatment of all magical and non-magical kinds — to ask for help in the final battle? Yes. And despite their history and the terrible things the other realms did to them, these creatures still chose to fight alongside Makusa to save his realm. "I can put in some backstory about the terrible treatment of house elves as the Ten Clans enslaved them. But they revolted and hunted down until they found refuge in the Monster Realm. Wait, maybe Monster Realm is not the best name. How about Elysium— a place of ideal happiness? Yes, the Elysium Realm. Maybe people called it the Monster Realm, but that's not what its inhabitants call it. Excellent.' Christian had a gleeful smile as he mapped out this story. "I need to show how horrible these Ten Clans are. But maybe I should also give them some nuance." He thought for a few minutes before an idea popped into his mind. "I can write a character like Regulus Black. Born in the Ten Clans, he shared their ideals until he woke up to the truth and died tragically while trying to change his family. I should also give him a brother like Sirrius, who does not share his family's values and fights alongside the Rebellion. Excellent. I'm truly a genius." With an outline of the story and characters, Christian was confident to write an entertaining comic. The next step was to write the story before consulting someone to help him draw it while designing all the Duel Monsters. Maybe I can turn Pokémon into Duel Monsters Cards?' thought Christian, who immediately gave up this idea. Jim had a long Yu-Gi-Oh phase, so he watched all the shows and collected as many cards as possible; he only needed to recreate them. As Christian prepared to design a few cards, he suddenly saw something in the corner of his eye. "Sango? How long have you been here? Come in." The bird flew to his desk and dropped the letter. As expected, Lockhart was more than happy to tell him the spell after introducing himself and telling him it was for his upcoming project. He even hinted he could help him and that Christian should contact him so they could work together. "If this man's love for fame was as good as his magical ability, no one in the world could stop him," muttered Christian before focusing on the spell's wand movement and incantation. [The charm is canon, but I created the incantation.] Christian succeeded in the first attempt, manifesting a hologram of his entire body. Although it looked a little intangible, it still looked like him. "This spell has more potential than that idiot realized." He knew how powerful Illusion Magic could be, and this spell, which allowed him to create projections of the things in his mind, is the basis for an entirely new field of magic with many applications, especially if he could train this charm to the level of creating illusions indistinguishable from natural things. "Let's try the real deal. Who should be first? I know. I summon you, Blue-Eyes White Dragon." As he used the spell, the creature materialized before him. Still, Christian was a little disappointed as it was blurry and constantly flickering, as it would disappear at any moment. "It seems I need to concentrate more," he muttered before closing his eyes and perfectly picturing the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, reviewing many of Jim's memories in which it appeared. A hologram of the creature appeared before him, and unlike the previous one, it looked real; Christian felt he was looking at the real thing. "Excellent," praised Christian. "And there is still room for improvement."
