When Ernaline woke up from the hospital, her family she only sees when she opens her eyes. Her Mom and Dad are sleeping on the couch while her brother holding her hand and she felt numb with it.
How long has he been sleeping?
I hope he is not allowed to wake up again. A tear fell from Ernaline's eyes when a memory flowed on her - it's like a movie flashes on her mind.
Reiden Grei woke up when he heard someone is crying and to his surprise, it was his sister.
"I don't want to live, Brother."
Reiden Grei was shocked because of what he heard. Ernaline looks miserable more than he could imagine. He felt pity for his sister.
"Hush now baby, don't say that and stop crying will you?"
"Where's Perth, big brother? Why he's not here? I want to hear his explanation."
Mr. & Mrs. Montenegro disturbed their sleep when they heard their daughter so they immediately got up where they were sleeping and approach Ernaline's bed.
"How are you, baby?" Mrs. Montenegro's face was exposed to Ernaline.
"Where’s Perth, Ma?"
Reiden and his parents didn't know what to answer. Reiden already throws Dezrail away from her room earlier before she woke up.
Ernaline didn't receive an answer from her family so she decided to get up from her bed. There is no doubt that the IV that was stuck in her hand was pulled out causing her older brother and parents to panic.
"What are you doing, Ernaline?" Reiden said as he saw his sister got up from her bed.
"I'm going to Perth, big brother."
Reiden's head heated up at what he heard so he pulled his sister and stopped her from leaving.
"He won't explain anything to you, Ashleigh. He's already married and put on your mind he will never come back to you anymore!"
"No! He said he will decline their engagement. He promises me, Perth won't be married to Serenity."
Reiden released his sister as he grabbed an envelope from a table and handed it to Ernaline.
"See it for yourself,"
Ernaline is trembling when she grabs the envelope from her brother and opens it. Ernaline's world finally collapsed when she saw that Serenity and Perth's marriage continued.
It was the same hotel where their engagement party has been held. Ernaline unconsciously crumpled the pictures and tears flowed on her cheeks.
"You've been sleeping for two weeks, Ernaline. What did you expect? How can you stop him when you're here lying here alone, unconscious?"
Ernaline slowly sat down on the floor while still holding the envelope. Her chest tightens with the extreme pain she feels.
Reiden approached her and hugged his sister. Their parents didn't utter a word and just stare at them.
"Stop crying, Ashleigh. Crying will hurt your baby."
Ernaline looks up at her brother's face. "What?"
"You're 6 weeks pregnant, baby."
"What?" Ernaline asked incredulously.
Reiden helped her to go back on her bed and lay down again.
"The doctor said, your pregnancy is not detectable that's why you end up here. You cause too much stress because of your work and what is happening in your surroundings. Ashleigh just for the baby, you need to stabilize."
Ernaline caresses her tummy where her baby is. She's bearing Dezrail's child.
Ernaline did not want to ruin the family of others but she was left miserable.
"I immediately process your paper. You're going to America with our parents, Ashleigh."
Ernaline didn't argue anymore about what her older brother wanted. All she had in mind was the angel had given her.
As the days go by, no one of her friends visited her. Ernaline just found out that Reiden was the one who wanted it so that she wouldn't be hurt again and the child in her womb might be in trouble.
Their band continues in the spotlight together with Perth and Serenity. They are back, but here she is sitting alone inside the hospital and treating herself to be stronger.
Only later will she be able to return to their house. The doctor said that the baby was not very big in her stomach so she could still travel abroad.
Ernaline didn't turn her gaze when she heard the door opened. Her gaze remains at the window where she was staring at the end of the clear sky. She heard a step approaching her but she's not interested in knowing it.
"How are you?" Said her brother.
"Quit asking me that shit, Reiden Grei. You know how my situation is, and I don't want my baby to see this world without his father."
Reiden heave a sigh and sat down at the edge of Ernaline's bed. Ernaline's eyes are full of pain, agony, and hatred.
Reiden knows that he's the worst for making his sister like this. Those photos were just edited by him, he pleaded to their parents not to tell Ernaline about the truth. For the sake of the child, Reiden will do everything to protect his sister and nephew.
"Don't be so harsh on me, baby. I'm the only one you can rely on."
Reiden didn't receive a word from Ernaline. He got up from his seat and looked at Ernaline who fixes her eyes outside the window. His sister's tantrums were really bad, accompanied by her conception.
"When's my flight?"
"Next week."
"I want it tomorrow."
"What? Can you travel alone? Mom and Dad still have worked to do in the Montenegro Empire before they take you to America."
"For the second time, Reiden Grei quit treating me like a child. I can travel alone. I want to leave my life alone where you want me to put in, I don't care; I want to get away here. "
Reiden did nothing but agree; his sister is his priority more than his life. Reiden approaches his sister and kisses his forehead before saying goodbye.
"Mom and Dad will fetch you. You're leaving this country tonight."
After her brother said that, Ernaline let out a sigh. Every day she ignored her older brother and even her parents.
Ernaline pouted as she lay down on her bed. She will face a new life in America with her child even though if Perth is not by her side.
How is Perth anyway? Maybe he’s happy with Serenity and his own family.
