"Fang Yi, come with me!"
In the tense atmosphere, as if swords were drawn, Bai Jingjing suddenly stood up, grabbing Fang Yi and heading outside.
Along the way, nosy onlookers turned their attention toward them, particularly their hands—a level of intimacy they had never heard of between Bai Jingjing and any man.
Yao Bo and Yao Dong stepped aside; they had been at odds with Ye Ziqing already.
"Ziqing," the elderly Ye Yi began slowly, his voice weathered.
"Your actions just now disappointed me greatly."
Ye Ziqing remained silent, at a loss for words, ready to heed the lesson.
Old Man Ye Yi said, "Jingjing is my elder brother’s granddaughter. My brother is the most respected person in my life; without him, your grandfather would have likely died long ago. Hence, my life and death are preordained, and it’s not your place to interfere, do you understand?"
Ye Ziqing bit his lip, a sad expression on his face, and he said with his head down, "But I don’t want Grandpa to just die like that."
Old Man Ye Yi sighed, "Why must you torture yourself , ah..."
Reaching a secluded spot, Bai Jingjing realized she was still holding Fang Yi’s hand and quickly let go.
"Don’t be in such a hurry, I don’t mind holding hands a bit longer," Fang Yi said with a smile.
Bai Jingjing suddenly turned, glaring at Fang Yi and said coldly, "What was that all about just now!"
Fang Yi laughed, "Nothing much, I just don’t really like that Ye Ziqing."
Seeing Fang Yi still smiling, Bai Jingjing felt annoyed but composed herself and said, "I understand what you mean. Ye Ziqing betrayed us last time, but he had his reasons."
"My second granduncle was suffering from a stubborn illness that could only be cured with a specific medicine, which at the time was only available through Ren Hao, so..."
"So you got sold out once and you’d let it happen again?" Fang Yi scoffed.
Bai Jingjing hesitated for a moment, then said, "He has already promised me that it won’t happen again."
Fang Yi became angry, saying, "Bai Jingjing, how can you...how can you be so...how can you be so naïve!" He raised his fist, shook it, then helplessly lowered it, as if disappointed at her naivety.
Bai Jingjing said, "Though I am the leader of the White Tiger Alliance, I am also a woman; being a bit foolish is normal."
Fang Yi looked up at the ceiling speechlessly, then continued, "I don’t care if you are foolish or not; if that Ye Ziqing dares to sell you out a second time, I will make him realize that I am not just for show."
Bai Jingjing was suddenly touched, feeling a warmth inside; she nodded lightly, humming in agreement.
Returning to the living room, Fang Yi sat down, and Ye Ziqing lifted his teacup toward him.
"I apologize to you," Ye Ziqing said.
"I don’t know if you are sincere or pretending, but why not drink this tea," Fang Yi said.
After drinking the tea, Ye Ziqing sat down and no longer looked his way.
"Come, Alliance Hierarch, please have a seat here..." Sun Xiaobo flattered, pulling out a chair for a woman.
As this woman entered the hall, similar to Bai Jingjing, many people turned to look.

Led by Song Haoyue, Yan Yingnan and Liang Yong followed, with Yan Yingnan looking disdainfully at Fang Yi.
"Do I look shameless to you? Come closer and have a good look," Fang Yi joked, still smiling and showing no sign of anger.
Song Haoyue coldly glanced at Fang Yi, walking ahead, and Yan Yingnan glared fiercely at Fang Yi before following Song Haoyue.
Fang Yi’s gaze returned to the naturally charming Su Ge’er, and he said with a smile, "Alliance Hierarch Su, I appreciate your kind intentions, but I’m not one who likes to shift allegiances; please forgive me."
Su Ge’er, not offended, smiled and said, "I admire a man of your character, Mr. Fang. I look forward to seeing your prowess at the conference later."
Fang Yi chuckled and joked with a double meaning, "I will definitely demonstrate my prowess to you, Alliance Hierarch Su."
