Meng Wei’s sudden request to join caught Fang Yi and Bai Jingjing off guard, an unexpected turn for the two of them.
Meng Wei, aware of their confusion, said, "Alliance Hierarch, I don’t mean to betray you. I just want to learn some things from Mr. Fang. Please allow me this opportunity." The latter part he directed towards Fang Yi.
Fang Yi smiled and asked, "What do you want to learn?"
Meng Wei replied, "I once heard the Alliance Hierarch mention the boxing technique you practice, which should be the Eight Extremes Break. I want to learn Eight Extremes Fist. Please allow me this opportunity."
Fang Yi responded, "But I generally don’t have much free time. If you want to learn, you should follow this tall guy; I’ve taught everything to him." Fang Yi brought Yao Bo over.
Yao Bo was warm and knew Meng Wei, a man of few words and great strength, had some connection with Fang Yi. Thus, he enthusiastically said, "Brother, rest assured, whatever Yi has taught me, I will teach you all of it, without holding anything back."
Fang Yi would have expected Meng Wei to be displeased, or at least to show it somewhat. However, to Fang Yi’s surprise, Meng Wei humbly said, "Thank you in advance, brother."
"Haha, no need to thank, no need to thank," Yao Bo replied cheerfully.
While Meng Wei and his group chatted, establishing and warming up their relations, Fang Yi and Bai Jingjing spoke privately, discussing some matters.
"Can I assume that you’re training these people to kill Song Haoyue?" Bai Jingjing opened with this line.
"It’s part of the reason, but not the main one. That time when I broke Fang Tianqi’s legs, I ended up like nothing had happened. Do you know why?"
"The condition was that I must not enter Tianjing for three years, but I want to enter Tianjing within a year, so I must strengthen myself and cultivate my own power."

Bai Jingjing teased, "If earning money were as easy as you make it sound, everyone would be a millionaire."
"Millionaires become millionaires because they have their ways of making money, and I... have mine too!"
Bai Jingjing was taken aback; she really couldn’t think of what money-making schemes Fang Yi could possibly have.
Bai Jingjing still managed to find a secluded training ground near the suburbs for optimal practice. And she even fronted the initial resources for Fang Yi, naturally agreeing to his request.
Although Bai Jingjing said she wouldn’t lend money to Fang Yi, that was just a joke. Fang Yi had helped her take down the Black Water Alliance, and just for that, she would be willing to provide money if asked. However, Fang Yi didn’t pursue the matter further.
Indeed, Fang Yi had plans to make his own money.
Fang Yi visited the Ying Group and met that sleazy and shameless fat man.
"Brother Fang, not seeing you for a day feels like three seasons have passed. I’ve been yearning for you so much, but finally, you’re here!" Ying Zheng’s face, full of fat, bore a warm smile as if he were meeting his father.

"To be honest with you, Brother Ying, I recently invented a new drug," Fang Yi said.
Upon hearing "new drug," Ying Zheng’s eyes sparkled as if he saw a beautiful woman; he almost drooled, his fat cheeks perhaps trembling with excitement.
Ying Zheng boldly declared, "Brother Fang, don’t worry at all, just give this new drug to me! I will do my utmost to help you, and you can count on me for anything in the future."
Promising anything carelessly was easy for Ying Zheng; empty talk for him was as simple as eating and drinking.
However, Fang Yi shook his head and smiled, "You might have misunderstood, Brother Ying. This new drug cost me a lot of effort. Therefore, I want to take a share in it."
Ying Zheng’s expression stiffened, a share? He didn’t believe Fang Yi would settle for just a bit.
Sharp as ever, Ying Zheng was like an old fox, quickly guessing Fang Yi’s intention. His smile remained, but he became more cautious, carefully asking, "How much share are you talking about, Brother Fang?"
Fang Yi smiled, "Not much, just half."
