Fang Yi walked directly into the ladies’ restroom, found an empty spot, and entered; Zhu Li followed, not expecting it, as she thought Fang Yi would take her to a storage room or private box.
"Come." Fang Yi commanded dispassionately, he didn’t need to feel anything for Zhu Li.
Afterward, Fang Yi looked at the woman and asked, "Is there something you want to ask me?"
Zhu Li bowed her head, speaking softly, "Master, you’re amazing, you guessed right."
"I...I want to ask to borrow some money," Zhu Li stammered.
"Borrow money? How much? What for?" Fang Yi inquired.
"I want to borrow two hundred thousand for my brother’s surgery," Zhu Li replied.
Fang Yi was surprised but left his sympathy aside; the woman was cruel.
Seeing Fang Yi silent, Zhu Li quickly added, "Master, if you’re reluctant, then... then forget I said anything."
Fang Yi waved his hand dismissively, "Alright, alright, it’s just two hundred thousand, I’ll give it to you tomorrow."
Gratitude showed in Zhu Li’s eyes: "Thank you, master."
As Zhu Li went out to scout first, Fang Yi stayed behind in the women’s restroom lost in thought. He thought to himself, this isn’t right; just giving away two hundred thousand like that, he really screwed himself over.
Zhu Li said it was clear, prompting Fang Yi to dismiss her first, wanting some peace to think clearly.
He lit a cigarette, took a couple of drags, and then came out.
However, just as Fang Yi emerged, another door opened and someone else came out.
Seeing this person coming out of the restroom, Fang Yi, with a cigarette hanging from his mouth, turned and walked away, pretending not to be seen.
"Stop!" Bai Jingjing shouted.
Fang Yi obviously did not stop.
"Ouch, that hurts," Bai Jingjing’s pitiful voice came through.
It was a trap, Fang Yi reminded himself, absolutely no turning back.
"You dare to act but not own up, you coward!" Bai Jingjing didn’t hesitate and gave chase.
Aware that Bai Jingjing was coming up behind him, Fang Yi sighed resignedly and moved to the corridor outside the restroom where Bai Jingjing, getting ahead of him, blocked his way.
However, Fang Yi was looking down and not paying attention, so he couldn’t stop in time.
And not stopping meant—collision.
Fang Yi’s head struck Bai Jingjing’s forehead, eliciting a cry from her, and for some reason, Bai Jingjing tumbled backwards. Honestly, could Fang Yi just stand there watching Bai Jingjing’s head hit the ground?
So, Fang Yi had no choice but to catch Bai Jingjing; then, pulling her in like a ballet dancer, she crashed into his arms.
"You jerk," Bai Jingjing fumed, teeth clenched.
"Ah! Alliance Hierarch Bai, what are you doing here!" Fang Yi exclaimed in surprise.
"Acting! Keep acting!" Bai Jingjing jabbed her pale, delicate finger on Fang Yi’s shoulder.
Fang Yi chuckled, feigning ignorance expertly, and suddenly exhibited an expression of enjoyment, "Ah, that feels good." It was unclear whether he referred to Bai Jingjing’s jab being comfortable, or her body pressing against him.
Bai Jingjing quickly struggled out of Fang Yi’s arms; although Fang Yi hadn’t really intended to trap her.
"You do that kind of thing in a restroom and still laugh?" Bai Jingjing exclaimed.
Fang Yi replied, "I wasn’t laughing at that, I was laughing at how, while I was doing that, you were there listening, just thinking about it makes it funny."
Bai Jingjing, as a hierarch, looked outraged, barely suppressing the urge to strangle him. Yet, even she didn’t notice, unconsciously, a blush crept onto her cheeks.
