Shen Binnan skeptically accepted the paper, scanned the contents, and immediately froze, her face reflecting astonishment.
"Now, President Shen Binnan of Longtu Group agrees with me: I will lend ten billion, she will wipe out the Ren Group, and after success, she will marry me. If she breaches this agreement, may lightning strike me down!"
That was the written pledge — just a few brief sentences with that guy’s name scribbled beneath.
"Come on, come on, sign your illustrious name," Fang Yi urged, rubbing his hands together.
"Are you serious?" Shen Binnan found herself hesitating.
"Of course I’m serious. You’re not getting cold feet now, are you?" Fang Yi asked with a semblance of a smile.
"You don’t need to provoke me; I’ll satisfy you," Shen Binnan decisively wrote her name on the pledge.
Fang Yi, grinning slyly, took the pledge and tucked it away proudly, certain that this time Shen Binnan couldn’t back out.
"You wait, I’ll get you the money in three days," Fang Yi declared confidently.
Binnan watched the self-assured man before her, wondering where on earth he could borrow ten billion from!
That was ten billion — where did he get such confidence?
In the afternoon, Fang Yi left the company and rode his bicycle to the headquarters of Ying Group.
After parking his bicycle, he walked into the lobby of the skyscraper and took the elevator to the Ying Group’s head office floor and approached the reception.
The receptionist, a very attractive mature woman, greeted Fang Yi: "Hello, I’d like to see your Chairman Ying."
"Do you have an appointment?"
"No," Fang Yi replied. "But if you tell him a Fang wants to see him, he will definitely meet with me."
The mature woman was somewhat skeptical but still made a call to the chairman’s office. After hanging up, her gaze towards Fang Yi changed, and she invited, "Please follow me."
Upon reaching the office, the mature woman knocked on the door, from which Ying Zheng’s voice emerged.
Fang Yi pushed open the door and entered the office.
Ying Zheng’s office was incredibly luxurious and extravagant, with walls adorned with famous paintings, handcrafted artworks that were limited editions, and even artifacts made of gold.
The entire office showcased an ostentatiously luxurious style, indicative of Ying Zheng’s immense wealth.
"Mr. Fang, welcome, please have a seat," Ying Zheng said without rising, merely gesturing towards a chair in front of his desk.
Fang Yi sat opposite him and then suddenly heard a strange noise, but he didn’t pay it any mind.
"Haha, Mr. Fang, what wind brings you here?" Ying Zheng laughed heartily.
"An easterly wind. It’s the east wind that blew me here. How have you been, Brother Ying?" Fang Yi asked, making small talk with a hint of double entendre.
Ying Zheng’s face was ruddy, glowing healthily, evidently enjoying his comfort.
"Quite well indeed. I must say, Fang Yi, the prescription you gave me was really helpful. It’s been enormously beneficial," Ying Zheng said.
In fact, Fang Yi could see that Ying Zheng did indeed reap benefits; the glowing complexion and vigorous spirit were a dead giveaway.
And Fang Yi had every confidence in his prescribed remedy, which he took from ancient texts and was hard to come by. Ying Zheng had his deficiencies in the bedroom and without Fang Yi’s prescription, it probably would have continued to deteriorate.
Fang Yi smiled and said, "Since Brother Ying finds it effective, I have another prescription here that not only enhances performance but also endurance. I wonder if you might be interested?"
Ying Zheng seemed tempted, about to speak, when suddenly his chubby body shivered in the chair, eyes rolling back. Fang Yi almost thought the guy was having a seizure.
"Fang Yi, you caught me in an awkward moment," Ying Zheng said with a laugh, showing no embarrassment — clearly, it was a routine event for him.
"Not at all, Brother Ying is vigorous and robust; I’m in awe," Fang Yi complimented.
Ying Zheng laughed, "Haha, little brother Fang, you do make me laugh. It’s all thanks to that prescription of yours."
Fang Yi replied, "You’re right in my wheelhouse, Brother Ying." But he thought to himself that it wouldn’t do unless Shen Binnan agreed.
Just then, a woman in an OL (office lady) uniform emerged. The OL had a tall, slender figure with long, alluring legs.
"Fang Yi, meet my secretary. If you’re interested, I could step out for a bit and come back a little later," Ying Zheng said with a mischievous grin.
"Hey there, handsome," the OL sister cooed, her face full of seductive charm. "My name is Fangfang, and I’m quite skilled. I guarantee you’ll have lots of fun."
To be honest, Fang Yi did feel somewhat tempted, as he did have a thing for mature women.
However, this was Ying Zheng’s territory and he was an old fox. Fang Yi couldn’t fathom Ying Zheng’s thoughts, so it was best to be cautious.
Besides, Fang Yi wasn’t into women Ying Zheng had been with; the very thought gave him the chills.
"Thanks for your kind offer, Brother Ying, but I’m here today on important business. We can talk about such pleasures another time," Fang Yi declined tactfully.
Ying Zheng just "oh"-ed, waved his secretary Fangfang away, and in front of Fang Yi, without the slightest trace of ’shame,’ he zipped up his trousers and lit a cigar.
Only at that moment did he resemble a magnate, appearing professional. Anyone unaware of his action would likely be fooled by him.
"So, what brings you to me, brother Fang Yi?" Ying Zheng asked, puffing on his cigar like a tycoon.
Fang Yi, making himself right at home, took a cigar from the desk, cut it, lit it, and instantly started puffing smoke.
"I’m here to ask you for a loan," said Fang Yi.
"Borrow money? No problem," Ying Zheng said unconcernedly.
"But I need to borrow quite a bit," Fang Yi said.
Just then, Ying Zheng hesitated, asking, "How much?"
With a smile, Fang Yi gestured the number ten with his fingers.
"One hundred thousand? That’s nothing," Ying Zheng dismissively said.
"You misunderstand, Brother Ying. It’s not one hundred thousand that I’m borrowing, but... ten billion," Fang Yi stated with a smile.
Ying Zheng slid off his chair and landed on the floor with a thud.
